Paul dominates Chavez and calls out big names

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who looked lost and fought back for the majority of the cruiserweight fight in California, was outnumbered by influential boxer-turned-boxer Jake Paul before praising some of the sport’s biggest names.

In the first half, Chavez hardly ever threw a punch. At ringside, his legendary father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, appeared irate and deflated.

As Paul, 28, controlled the fight with jabs and hooks to the head and body, Chavez Jr, a 39-year-old former middleweight world champion, turned into a sitting duck behind a high guard.

As the sold-out Honda Center in Anaheim poured down jeers, he cupped his ears.

Paul told the audience to “shut up,” using some expletives, “all the boos are words, but actions speak louder than words.”

It went without a hitch. He continued, “I believe I only got hit ten times.” He’s been dating Saul Canelo Alvarez and all of those people, and I embarrassed him. simple work.

The victory raises well-known issues regarding Paul’s level and position in boxing. The Mexican who won the world title more than ten years ago was a far cry from the Chavez who entered the ring.

Anderson Silva, a 46-year-old former UFC star, lost to Chavez in 2021, the same opponent Paul defeated a year later. Chavez has spent a lot of his career struggling with discipline and motivation.

Paul, who gained notoriety through social media, has now lost all of his professional fights to Tommy Fury in 2023. Paul said he is prepared to take on Badou Jack, the WBC champion, and Gilberto Ramirez, the WBC champion.

Although boxing enthusiasts see a title shot as the product of years of diligent work, dedication, and advancement, it is plausible to think Paul will win.

Chavez exhibits little combat, but Paul wins.

A mariachi band serenaded a tense Chavez to the ring before taking deep, steady breaths. Paul and his brother Logan danced in the dressing room as well, bringing that energy into his ring walk.

Chavez slammed on the back as Paul fired body shots in the opening round. He had already lost to the fighter who had triumphed in 2017 and defeated Irishman Andy Lee ten years prior.

Chavez’s corner counseled him to “let his hands go,” but he remained staring blankly at the distance. He struggled with weight issues, substance abuse, and lack of motivation in the past.

He didn’t do anything to deter critics who claimed he was just there for a paycheck, so the boos grew louder.

Chavez Sr. frantically urging his son to find his fire, tossed his hands in the air and looked distraught.

Paul has clearly improved since losing to Fury, displaying a more accurate jab and higher work-rate. It is easier to highlight the improvements when he selects aging fighters like Chavez and Tyson.

Chavez’s best moments came when he landed an uppercut and right hook in the ninth round. Hands raised, he turned around and celebrated as though he had won the fight.

What will Paul do after that?

Paul claimed to want “tougher fighters,” but his appeals frequently disregard weight classes.

He outrageously names possible adversaries Gervonta ‘Tank ‘Tank’ Davis and former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman earlier this week stated that Paul’s ranking might be impacted if he beat Chavez. A fighter must be in the top 15 in accordance with WBC rules to be eligible for a shot at the world title.

For context, Team GB Olympian Cheavon Clarke is 19th while British champion Viddal Riley is 15th.

Should Paul from Ohio be ranked higher than Paul? No, according to sports logic. However, it is possible in the modern boxing environment.

Paul also suggested that he might be ranked by the WBA. When grading fighters, the WBA takes into account their history, level of activity, and level of competition.

Through his Most Valuable Promotions, Paul has benefited from the introduction of a new boxing audience, shown serious commitment to training, and supported women fighters. A world title shot cannot be justified by that alone.

He must move past fading names and former MMA stars to earn genuine respect in boxing. Although victories over Chavez and Tyson may strengthen his brand, they don’t really help him stand out in the crowd.

Kerry Katona shows true colours in relationship with new Celebs Go Dating boyfriend

Gloria Katona has been making headlines after her rumored ex-boyfriend Paolo Margaglione described their relationship, but a source claims it’s like “water off a duck’s back” to her.

Kerry Katona has come under fire after her hunky new partner’s ex accused her of stealing her man. Mum-of-five Kerry has been in a love bubble with personal trainer Paolo Margaglione, 33, after meeting him on Celebs Go Dating in May. But Paolo’s ex, Jessica Smith, 25, claims she was already in a relationship with the dad-of-two – and completely unaware he was filming the dating show, as OK! reports.

He constantly told me lies while we were together. Jessica, a warehouse manager from Holmfirth, Yorkshire, described it as horrifying. He doesn’t seem to have a single emotion for Kerry, in my opinion. He’ll be happy that he’s now being made known because he only cares about fame.

Devastated Jessica spoke out after seeing snaps of Kerry, 44, and Paolo kissing outside a London hotel. She claims he “repeatedly lied” about taking part in the show – which also stars Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins and The Chase’s Mark Labbett – and that he told her he was travelling to London for business meetings when he was in fact filming scenes with smitten Kerry.

But a source close to the former Atomic Kitten star, who is keeping tight-lipped over the furore, has said that after experiencing her fair share of romantic betrayals herself, she would never knowingly make a move on another woman’s man.

She knows her truth and won’t let it ruin things, the source said, and she’s not being accused of being a man-stealer. Kerry won’t allow anyone to dunk in her parade.

Jess went on to claim that Paolo, who she started dating after he contacted her on Instagram, continued to send her loved-up messages while he was filming the E4 reality show, even telling her he wanted to marry her.

But Paolo, who has two daughters from a previous relationship, denies any wrongdoing. “I was never in a relationship with Jess,” he said. “We only met up around five times. I was honest with her that I had been offered to go on a dating show and if it were to come to fruition, I would take the opportunity.”

He continued,” and as I had been offered to appear on the show, I made it clear to Jess that we had to cut off our conversations and see each other. Jess is a great girl, and I have nothing negative to say about her.

Kerry’s rumoured new romance comes eight months after her shock split from her former fiancé Ryan Mahoney, who she dated for six years. The pair met online and lived together in Cheshire, with personal trainer Ryan proposing to Kerry in 2020.

After the two ended their relationship in November, Kerry later revealed that they had broken up because of a “breach of trust.” We are no longer together, she said at the time, and this week has been very difficult. Never in a million years did I anticipate this to occur.

In 2002, Kerry, who has two daughters, Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, wed her first husband, Westlife star Brian McFadden. Before the relationship broke down after three years, she wed taxi driver Mark Croft, who welcomed son Max, 17, and daughter Heidi, 18.

She and George Kay, the father of her 11-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge, tied the knot in 2014 with her. Former rugby league player George passed away in 2019 after an overdose of drugs.

Celebrity Big Brother star Kerry is certainly no stranger to drama when it comes to her love life, but the sourcesays she has “learnt the hard way” when it comes to fame-hungry partners and won’t be fooled again.

The source claimed that “she felt that betrayal.” But she’s completely content and at ease with Paolo because she has a smart head on her shoulders.

She has never felt or looked better, and her only missing is a tall, handsome man. She is earning a good living and everything is in her control. She is not being governed or controlled by anyone.

Boxing: Jake Paul beats Chavez Jr by unanimous decision

In a cruiserweight fight in California, United States, former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was defeated by famous boxer Jake Paul.

In the 10-round fight at Honda Center in Anaheim on Saturday night, the 28-year-old YouTube influencer-turned-boxer triumphed over his opponent with scores of 99-91, 97-93, and 98-92.

Paul’s triumphant return to the ring seven months after his sensational fight against 58-year-old Mike Tyson was undoubtedly a success.

Former World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion Chavez Jr., 39, has only competed once in the past three and a half years and has not won a major title in 13 years. Over the past few years, he has also experienced some well-known personal issues.

Paul, who went on to become a boxer after becoming a social media star on YouTube, now has a 12-fight winning streak and a 12-to-one record with seven knockouts (KOs).

Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., both of whom are cruiserweight champions, celebrate at the conclusion of their fight.

I want to win the world title.

Following the victory, Paul presented a fight to a number of current and former WBC champions.

In the ring, he declared, “I want to be world champion, and I want tougher fighters.”

He instructed Tommy Fury, Badou Jack, Anthony Joshua, Gervonta Davis, and Zurdo Ramirez to “stop running.”

Chavez Jr., however, acknowledged that his conqueror was a “good fighter” but was unable to face the list of champions he had chosen.

He is strong, he is a good boxer, but I don’t believe he’s ready to win any fights, the Mexican said.

Alvarez was scheduled to face Canelo Alvarez until the latter signed a lucrative four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh’s Riyadh Season, but Paul claimed Alvarez was “ducking” the matchup.

Paul claimed in a video posted to his social media account that he had signed a contract with Alvarez for a May 3 fight in Las Vegas.

You [Alvarez] could be bought, Paul said at the time, “the truth is.” You’re chasing your next nut, a money-hungry squirrel. These sports-washing, covert individuals are actually paying you hundreds of millions of dollars to stop our fight because they can’t bring it to a bigger fight than me and you.

After a subpar but unanimous victory over IBF champion William Scull in Riyadh on May 3, Mexican boxing legend Alvarez won the super-middleweight titles by unified boxing.

Contrasting fortunes between Paul and Chavez Jr.

Despite not having a traditional fighting background through a boxing association, the 28-year-old is one of the sport’s most appealing features. Several sources claim that Paul has made at least $60 million since beginning his boxing career.

His fight with Tyson in November, which Paul won in an eight-round decision, attained a staggering 64 million Netflix concurrent streams.

Chavez Jr., who won the last two fights for the major boxing title in 2012, has struggled both inside and outside the ring in recent years.

The 46-year-old former UFC fighter Anderson Silva’s shock defeat in a crossover boxing match in November 2021 was unquestionably his lowest and most embarrassing performance of his professional boxing career. In another coincidence, Paul defeated Silva last year in a fight.

The Mexican’s personal issues include a lack of motivation, repeated failures to shed light on fights, alcohol and drug abuse, an arrest for illegally possessing a firearm in his Los Angeles home, and a failed drug test. Paul made fun of Chavez’s addiction issues and “lack of mentality” at the start of the Paul-Chavez fight in May at The Avalon in Hollywood.

With the win, Paul is said to have a chance of rising to the WBC rankings.

Before the fight, ESPN reported that Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC ratings committee, had been monitoring Jake Paul’s career.

The committee will decide whether Chavez wins or loses, depending on how the fight turns out. If Paul wins convincingly, it’s very likely that he will be ranked.

Kieran Trippier enjoyed a night out with an OnlyFans star before announcing his split from his wife, a report has claimed. The 34-year-old footballer, who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United as a right-back, has been married for nine years.

In 2016, he and his partner Charlotte in Cyprus welcomed a son named Jacob and two daughters named Esme and Isla. Reports have been raging about the couple’s relationship problems for months, with last year’s headlines suggesting they had taken a break to raise concerns about their marriage.

When Kieran was seen without his wedding ring in September, there were concerns that the marriage was being ended. Additionally, it was reported that he had been seen with a ‘mystery woman’ two weeks prior.

Now the mystery has seemingly been solved, as the blonde woman he was spotted out and about with in Newcastle has been unmasked as an OnlyFans content creator named Sienna Day.

According to a source, Kieran and Sienna reportedly dated after they left the Wafi Lounge. She spent just over an hour with him in the club and is well-known on the scene in Newcastle.

“They left not long before 3am. Kieran looked very taken with Sienna.” The Mirror has approached representatives of Kieran for comment.

According to reports last week, Kieran and Charlotte have been living apart for a year and are now considering divorcing. The couple planned to divorce as soon as possible, according to reports that they were determined to continue living together.

Taking to Instagram last week in view of her 34,300 followers, she said she had been inundated with messages of support from women and also men who had been sending their well wishes. “I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine,” she said. Charlotte added: “Obviously, I am not ready to talk about my situation.

“I don’t want to be putting things out there for them until I am comfortable and the time is right, and I have three young children, haven’t I?” Yes, I just wanted to let everyone know that once you make a decision, you can get through it.

Like, you can get through it, and yes, you’ll get there. I feel like I’m getting my glow back. I’m all about mental health and other things like that, so I’m telling everyone who needs any motivational speeches or general chit chats that they will never forget what they are going through.

Charlotte’s post which has been liked over 2,800 times was soon flooded with messages of support. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Billi Mucklow penned: “Keep sparkling beautiful.” One Newcastle United fan penned: “I live in the North East and I’m a huge Newcastle fan, I love Trippier on the pitch and all he’s done for the team, and if I’m being honest, I didn’t want to believe what I was reading on social media about him. However, I wanted to say I’ve followed you for a while now and what a lovely, genuine person you seem to be. Always so happy and classy. You’re so pretty, he’s lost a good one there!”

Thank you, Charlotte replied to the fan. Tripps defo excels on the pitch, and we’re so happy for you Geordies! I adore the Geordies a lot.

In the US Darts Masters final, world number one Luke Humphries defeated fellow Englishman Nathan Aspinall.

Humphries, 30, won the World Series of Darts competition at Madison Square Garden in New York with an 8-6 victory. He won both his World Masters and Premier League titles.

In the quarter-finals earlier on Saturday, Aspinall defeated world champion Luke Littler 6-4.

It’s really special to win this event because this is our most famous venue, Humphries said.

Aspinall, who won the 2019 tournament in Las Vegas, started the tournament slow and finished with a 90-point bullseye finish, going into the final with a 3-0 deficit.

Humphries grabbed the lead with a double eight after a 142 checkout from Humphries, but Aspinall missed two darts to make it 7-7.

Aspinall defeated Australian Damon Heta 7-3 in the final four to claim a spot in the final, while Humphries defeated American Danny Lauby 6-2 and Welshman Gerwyn Price 7-2 in the semi-final.

Topuria wins UFC lightweight title with stunning knockout of Oliveira

Ilia Topuria of Spain won the co-main event by a stunning first-round knockout victory over Charles Oliveira, while Alexandre Pantoja won the lightweight title with a third-round submission victory over Kai Kara-France.

Topuria, a former featherweight champion, announced in February that he would fight for the belt that Islam Makhachev’s move to the welterweight division had left him.

Former lightweight champion Oliveira, 35, who briefly used his vast experience before losing, was standing between him and the title on Saturday evening.

Topuria, who was born in Germany to Georgian parents, defended well against the Brazilian’s grappling before showcasing his striking power. After a dominant run at featherweight, which saw him move to 16-0 as a professional.

After a brief exchange on the mat, Topuria disengaged to bring the fight back to its feet, and Oliveira’s evening came to an end. In May 2022, he was stripped of his lightweight belt for a defense against Justin Gaethje.

Oliveira was stunned by the 28-year-old’s crunching right hand before striking her with a left hook, sending her flying to the mat. Topuria predicted a first-round knockout victory, but his back hit the canvas, and his eyes glazed.

“I’ve already said that this is the next level of the game because I represent the new generation of mixed martial arts,” I’ve already said. In a post-fight interview, Topuria stated that this is the next step and that this is what I stand for.

His lights were out when I threw the right hook, left hook, and many more jabs before I realized it.

Before he took his back and locked himself in a rear naked choke one minute and 55 seconds into the third round to defend his flyweight crown, Brazil’s Pantoja dominated New Zealander Kara-France.
