Gogglebox’s Izzi Warner sends sweet message to lookalike sister Ellie on huge milestone

Googlebox star Izzi Warner shared a touching tribute to her lookalike sister Ellie Warner as she gave an insight into their lives off the popular Channel 4 show

Sisters Izzi and Ellie Warner are popular with Gogglebox viewers

Izzi Warner has shared a look at her life away from the Googlebox sofa with her sister Ellie as she shared a touching message. The TV stars have been on screens for 10 years and have entertained the nation with their close bond and sassy remarks to each week’s telly.

They were initially worried about whether viewers would be interested in them when they joined the hit Channel 4 show back in 2015. However, the Leeds based sisters have racked up their own fans and share insights into their life off the show.

Ellie works as a hairdresser while Izzi is a qualified mortgage advisor and runs her own business. Their closeness carries on off Googlebox as Izzi made sure to share a gushing tribute to her sister on her birthday.

Izzi, 31, shared a series of snaps of the lookalike pair throughout the years alongside a sweet message as Ellie turned 35. She shared: “A huge happy birthday to my favourite sister! !

“If you have a sister you understand there’s no relationship like the one you have with your sister, you can hate them and love them in equal measures all at the same time! “

Izzi added: “Hope you have a clucking fantastic mid 30s style weekend! Love from us all always xxx. ” She included photos of the pair looking stunning as they dressed up for a fancy event and posed in front of a balloon and flower display.

Moments from their trips away together and time with family were also shared to mark the occasion. Ellie and long-term partner, Nat Eddleston, welcomed their first child, Ezra, into the world in 2023 while Izzi also shares son Bobby and daughter Bessie Rose with ex Grant.

Izzi made sure to include photos with their children as Ellie was flooded with birthday messages. The pair have had their challenges while they have been on screens, as Izzi has been there to support sister Ellie.

In 2022, Ellie’s partner Nat was left fighting for his life when he was hit outside the Woodman Pub in Halton in March 2022. He needed life support after being thrown onto the bonnet of a Seat Ibiza and into the air.

CT scans in the hospital revealed fractures to his neck, damage to his brain nerve fibres and bruising to both lungs. Nat spent 11 days in intensive care before being fitted with a surgical halo brace. The sisters took time off the Channel 4 show so they could be there to support their family.

Ellie has also provided support to Izzi, as she helped her with her heartbreak following the breakdown of her relationship with the father of her two children. Izzi shocked viewers in October last year when she dropped the bombshell she had split from her boyfriend of 10 years.

And what was even more surprising was that she’d kept it a secret for 18 months. Viewers only found out the mortgage advisor was single again after she shared her ‘ideal man’ criteria with Ellie, which she dubbed her ‘Mary Poppins’ list.

However, Izzi has found love once more as she revealed her new man to viewers in February. She shared her new beau’s name is Toby as she excitedly told big sister Ellie: “Wait till you see what Toby got me for Valentine’s – a card in a box!”

Ellie read out the card: “To Izzi, our first of many. Thank you for being the absolute best. I bloody adore you. Happy Valentines Day. I love you loads and lots more. Toby. ” Izzi hugged the card to her chest and asked Ellie: “How sick are you feeling now? “

WI miss out on Women’s World Cup by 0.01 run-rate

ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier, Lahore

Thailand 166 (46. 1 overs): Chantam 66 (98); Fletcher 4-20

West Indies 168-4 (10. 5 overs): Matthews 70 (29)

West Indies won by six wickets

West Indies have failed to reach the Women’s World Cup for the first time in 25 years after finishing their qualifying games 0. 01 behind Bangladesh on net run-rate.

After restricting Thailand to 166, West Indies needed to chase their target down in 10 overs to overhaul second-placed Bangladesh’s net run-rate advantage.

They made a blistering effort but fell just short, reaching 156-3 after 10 overs – the highest powerplay total in women’s ODIs.

Hayley Matthews’ side completed victory on 168-4 just five balls later to finish level with Bangladesh on six points. However, West Indies ended with a net run-rate of 0. 63, meaning Bangladesh squeezed through on 0. 64.

West Indies began the final day of qualifying in third position in the table, with only the top two teams advancing to this autumn’s 50-over World Cup.

Matthews kickstarted the brave attempt with a 21-ball fifty – the second-fastest in women’s one-day internationals – before she was dismissed for 70 from 29 balls.

Elsewhere, Pakistan won all five of their matches to qualify comfortably, while Bangladesh will also compete at the eight-team tournament.

Scotland and Ireland failed to qualify.

The World Cup, which starts on 29 September and runs for around a month, is being hosted by India, with Australia defending the title.

West Indies memorably beat England in last year’s T20 World Cup to reach the semi-finals, but defeats by Scotland and Pakistan in their opening matches of these qualifiers meant they had to win all of their remaining games, and still rely on other results to swing net run-rate in their favour.

The match against Scotland proved decisive, a tense 11-run defeat where captain Matthews scored an unbeaten century and took four wickets but had little support from her team.

With the tournament taking place in India, Pakistan’s qualification means that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will adopt a hybrid hosting model.

As part of India men’s agreement to play in this year’s Champions Trophy, all of their matches were played in the United Arab Emirates rather than in Pakistan, where the tournament was originally due to be hosted in its entirety.

In turn, the Pakistan Cricket Board only accepted this hybrid model if they could guarantee that their sides – male and female – would not be required to play in India during the 2024-2027 ICC event cycle.

The likely location for Pakistan’s matches – a minimum of seven – will either be in the UAE again, or Sri Lanka.

Political tensions mean the two countries have not faced each other outside of men’s major tournaments since 2013, while India have not played in Pakistan since 2008.

Katie Price shows off her glowing tan as she prepares for latest Easter panto performance

Katie Price has been performing in a production of Pinocchio this Easter and ahead of her latest performance, the former glamour model showed off her glowing tan

Media personality Katie Price showed off her glowing tan ahead of performing the latest date of her Easter pantomime tour. The mum-of-five, 46, is currently starring as Fairy alongside comedy legend Bobby Davro in a production of Pinocchio.

Ahead of taking to the stage at the Queen Elizabeth Halls in Oldham on Friday night, Katie looked ready to step under the theatre lights as she rocked a strong tan. Dressed in casual white trousers and a huge black coat, the former glamour model completed her look with a pair of white sunglasses.

Katie, who did a pantomime stint over the festive period with pal Kerry Katona, was announced as a Pinocchio cast member in February. “We are delighted to announce that KATIE PRICE and Casualty’s AMANDA HENDERSON will be sharing the role of Fairy across the dates of this year’s Easter Panto tour,” Anton Benson Productions announced on Instagram.

“They will join the previously announced casting of BOBBY DAVRO as Stromboli plus Easter Panto favourites RYAN GREAVES, KATE SALMON and PHYL HARRIES. ” Katie has clearly been enjoying her time on the road. Earlier this month, the reality TV star shared a snap of herself in character ahead of a performance and shared her excitement.

Last month, Katie announced that both of her bankruptcies have been discharged. The former glamour model, 46, who has fronted various Channel 4 and BBC documentaries about her life, was declared bankrupt for a second time last year over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

Her first bankruptcy from 2019 was discharged earlier this year, after a hearing at the Insolvency and Companies Court. A representative for the mum-of-five confirmed at the end of March that the second bankruptcy has been discharged.

Katie told The Sun: “I’m so happy. I can finally move on and put these bankruptcies behind me and now only focus on the positive. Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this process. ” Her solicitor Chris Keane, from Fieldfisher LLP, told the newspaper that Katie had been “fully compliant with her Trustee in Bankruptcy and has been discharged from both bankruptcies in short order”, after attending a private interview.

Katie was first declared bankrupt in November 2019, and in February last year was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans until February 2027 to help pay off her debts. The court previously heard if the second bankruptcy remained in force she must pay money from OnlyFans to the trustee.

In February, barrister Darragh Connell, representing the trustee of Katie’s bankruptcies, told the Insolvency and Companies Court: “As to the second bankruptcy, the trustee’s position is that pursuant to information provided by Ms Price, the trustee has been undertaking inquiries with third parties. The outcome of those inquiries is not yet known. “

He added: “It may well transpire to be the case that an application is made to suspend discharge for a limited period, but that is not before the court today. “

Katie had previously failed to attend a court date related to her bankruptcy, and an arrest warrant in July was issued. At the time, the two-time I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star said on Instagram that she was “not running from matters” and was “neither embarrassed or ashamed”, and was “fully aware of the severity of my current personal financial situation”.

A private interview took place on September 24, according to a court hearing, where “sufficient provision of information” was made to avoid the need for a public examination concerning her first bankruptcy.

According to the Government, a person is usually released from a bankruptcy within 12 months, meaning they are discharged from the restrictions and debts from the bankruptcy. However, the former bankrupt must pay debts that were not included in their bankruptcy, and a trustee continues to deal with the bankruptcy debt settlements.

Mission: Impossible star paid millions for 39-second cameo and fans know exactly why

A Mission: Impossible star was paid a staggering amount for their 39-second role in a film in the hit franchise, and fans are saying he deserved the money for his brief appearance

A star in Mission: Impossible made a record-breaking cameo, with fans saying he may be the “highest-paid actor for smallest amount of screen time” thanks to the role. The final instalment of the action-packed franchise, The Final Reckoning, will conclude the action-packed series later this year, and fans will bid goodbye to cast members including Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Kristin Scott Thomas.

But it’s one astonishingly brief appearance at the end of the fourth movie, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which has sparked debate in Hollywood circles. Their 39 seconds on the silver screen earned this actor a hefty paycheck, packing two days’ work into one of cinema’s most lucrative per-second rates. Fans believe this makes up for the lack of cash he was paid in the first film.

A viral post on Reddit’s r/TodayILearned subreddit reads: “Ving Rhames earned $7. 7million for roughly 39 seconds of screen time in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), which makes him the highest-paid actor for the smallest amount of screen time. He had just two days of work on set. “

Playing Luther Stickell in the famed saga, Rhames’ fleeting cameo in the fourth film sent waves of excitement through fans, garnering heaps of admiration for his performances across the series.

Echoing fan sentiments, one commentator wrote: “It makes up for the fact that he got paid basically peanuts for the first M:I movies. Tom Cruise got the big bucks for the first one, and with its limited budget (75M? ), there wasn’t a whole lot left for the other actors.

“With Tom Cruise doing his own stunts, by the time Ghost Protocol came out, there was no guarantee the movie was going to get finished (if Tom got hurt doing a stunt) -PLUS- no guarantee of future movies (if Tom got hurt doing a stunt) meant if Ving was going to do Ghost Protocol, he needed to be sure that he got the money now. “

Other fans have highlighted that another enjoyed a hefty payday for a film he did not even appear in in a separate franchise. One fan remembered: “Jack Nicholson got paid for Batman Returns, a film he wasn’t even in. He got a ‘pay or play deal’ in case they wanted the Joker to return for the sequel. “

Another fan noted that the Batman films also gave a lucrative payday to another actor too, after they opted for a different star in the third film.

They commented: “Billy Dee Williams also got a huge payday from the 1989 Batman when he played Harvey Dent in a few scenes. He was promised the role of Two Face later on and when they recast it he got paid the same as Tommy Lee Jones. “

Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey would serve as the villainous duo in the third Batman film, with both Nicholson and Williams left out of future screen adaptations.

Confirmation of Rhames’ lucrative payday comes from The Guardian, who reported: “Ving Rhames is rewarded handsomely for his dedication to the blockbuster franchise.

US VP Vance discusses thorny issue of migration with Vatican

US Vice President JD Vance has met with the Vatican’s top diplomats, discussing the politically fraught issue of migration months after Pope Francis rebuked the new US administration’s hardline immigration stance.

Vance, a Catholic convert, held what the Vatican described as “cordial talks” with Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin – the Holy See’s second highest official after the pope – and Paul Richard Gallagher, the secretary for relations with states.

“There was an exchange of opinions on the international situation, especially regarding countries affected by war, political tensions and difficult humanitarian situations, with particular attention to migrants, refugees, and prisoners,” the Vatican said in a statement.

The two sides also stressed “the common commitment to protect the right to freedom of religion and conscience”, the Vatican said.

In February, Pope Francis angered the White House after writing a letter to US bishops in which he condemned Trump’s plan to deport migrants en masse, describing it as a “major crisis”.

Trump’s border tsar told Francis to “stick to” religion.

Vance had been hoping to meet with the 88-year-old Francis, who is recuperating after battling life-threatening pneumonia and spending nearly 40 days in hospital.

The Vatican made no mention of any such meeting with the pontiff, who has resumed some official duties, and Vance’s entourage has not commented on the remainder of his programme in Rome.

Last year, Francis also made a rare foray into the US election season to call harsh anti-migrant attitudes “madness” and criticise right-wing US Catholic figures for overly conservative stances.
