Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will play an exhibition match in South Korea in January – just eight days before the start of the Australian Open.
The duo will meet in the Hyundai Card Super Match in Incheon on 10 January, with the Australian Open main draw getting under way in Melbourne on 18 January.
“For domestic tennis fans it will be the very first opportunity to see the two top-ranked players compete,” tournament organisers said.
The pair, who met in three of the four Grand Slam finals in 2025, have won nine of the past 10 major titles between them.
Sinner reclaimed his status as world number one from Alcaraz on Sunday following victory at the Paris Masters.
Sinner’s 6-4 7-6 (7-4) victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime lifted the Italian 250 points above Alcaraz in the rankings before the season-ending ATP finals on 9 November.
Alcaraz leads the pair’s head-to-head, with 10 victories to Sinner’s five.
The Spaniard came out on top in an epic French Open final in June, before Sinner gained revenge at Wimbledon in July.
Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers’ center, has received a $50, 000 (£38, 000) fine from the NBA for what it called a “lewd gesture” on the court.
When Embiid, 31, scored in Philadelphia’s 109-108 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday, he was fouled before making a chopping gesture to his groin.
Previously, Embiid has received fines for the gesture.
Embiid appeared to make the suggestion in a post on X, which also contained the NBA’s social media post detailing his sanction.
Since I’m not permitted to do it, he said, “Yall better start punishing the refs for doing the “lewd” and “blocking foul” gesture.”
Embiid, who was born in Cameroon, was not present for Sunday’s 129-105 victory over the Brooklyn Nets as he continues to recover from a knee injury that required surgery earlier this year.

Britney Spears has sparked concern after abruptly deleting her Instagram account. It appears as though her content is no longer visible, with a message instead reading “the profile may have been removed”.
The singer, 43, is a regular poster on the social media platform, but her family is said to have become concerned over her latest behaviour. She had appeared to be dancing with bruises on her arms in a video over the past few weeks.
The mother of her two children, Jayden James, 19, and Preston, 20, both shared cryptic posts about them. She had previously posted a video last month disclosing her “horrible” leg injury.

She claimed that she “fell down the stairs” and that occasionally her leg “snaps out.” She later stated, “Not sure if it’s broken, but it’s snapped in for now” I appreciate you, God. She claimed “brain damage” in a recent alarming post.
Before the release of his memoir, her ex-boyfriend Kevin Federline, the father of her children, expressed his concerns. In his book, You Though You Knew, he made a number of shocking claims.
Kevin claimed that Sean was once “punched” in the face by Britney. He added that their sons had seen her “clutching a knife” on separate occasions in their bedroom doorway.
The former dancer claimed she once wished both sons “dead” and that she gave Jayden shellfish despite his allergies. Britney and Kevin were married from 2004 to 2007.
Later, he was granted full custody of their sons. He claimed in his book that Britney’s 13-year conservatorship, which ended in 2021, “brought stability when it was desperately needed.”
He continued to make the claim that it has become “impossible to pretend everything is okay” since its conclusion. If things don’t change, he continued, “Something bad is going to happen, and my biggest worry is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”
Britney was far from happy with her ex’s comments and in posts before deleting Instagram, she accused him of “gaslighting” her. She also said she had been left “demoralised” by her strained relationship with their children.

It’s been almost four years since the troubled star was freed from the controversial conservatorship that was imposed after her breakdown in 2007. However, despite regaining her long-fought freedom Britney has remained under intense scrutiny.
Her fans have been concerned about her erratic behavior ever since the decision to free her was made, despite the overjoyed feelings that persisted right away. She had posted naked photos on social media on several occasions, while others saw her dancing with knives.
President Donald Trump has slammed the possibility of American military action in Venezuela, rejecting any suggestion of “war” but threatening the nation’s leader.
The president warned that President Nicolas Maduro’s days are overnumbered during a CBS interview that was made public on Sunday. The US has increased its military presence in the Caribbean, where it has repeatedly attacked alleged drug traffickers, which UN officials and scholars claim are in grave violation of both US and international law.

Trump responded, “I doubt it,” when asked if the US waswaging war against Venezuela. Not in my opinion.
However, when asked if Maduro’s presidency was over, the president responded, “I would say yes. “Yes,” I believe.
In response to reports from US media outlets that Washington is planning to launch strikes on Venezuelan military installations as part of its “narco-terror” campaign.
Trump made an apparent defense of his assertion that he was planning attacks inside Venezuela, though he did not completely reject the notion.
He said, “I wouldn’t be inclined to say that I would do that.” I won’t disclose my intentions regarding Venezuela.
Maduro, who is facing drug trafficking charges in the US, has accused Washington of using a drug war as a pretext to “impeach regime change” in Caracas to seize Venezuelan oil.
At least 65 people have been killed in recent weeks due to the US military’s more than a dozen strikes on ships in the Caribbean and the Pacific. Governments in the area have voiced their opposition to the campaign.
Even though the attacks target well-known traffickers, according to UN human rights chief Volker Turk and rights organizations, they are “extrajudicial killings.”
Will a computer game help women’s football grow even more? Women’s football has already made some significant strides in recent years.
The most recent addition to the well-known Football Manager series, FM26, will be released this week, increasing the visibility of the female game and bringing up some undiscovered female talent.
19 million people have watched the previous edition of FM, which features you taking on the shoes of a manager, choosing a team, and trying to win.
The series’ roots date back more than 30 years to Championship Manager in 1992, but for the first time, FM26 allows fans to manage both women’s and men’s teams.
With 14 playable leagues spread out over 11 countries and three continents, it has a database of more than 36, 000 female players and another 5, 000 staff members.
The company behind it, Interactive sports, already share their extensive data on more than 700,000 male players with real-life clubs who have used it as a scouting tool for more than a decade.
“We were properly represented by an army of women’s game members.”

“There were a lot of challenges around adding the women’s game to FM,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director of Interactive sports.
We’ve been working on scouting for the past 30+ years in men’s football, but we needed to start fresh on the women’s side to make sure there were experts in women’s football.
In the end, a large number of women’s football players assisted us because they wanted to make sure that women’s football was represented properly.
“Some pieces of information were difficult to find because, while data is prevalent in men’s football, it is not the same in women’s football, where it is frequently incomplete or missing.”
“Putting it all together was undoubtedly a challenge, but one that we took on,” said one participant, “we hope what we’ve created is useful in both women’s football and the game as well.”
We’re about to captivate a whole new audience, it seems.

The video game takes pride in having depth, realism, and authenticity, and new motion-capture sequences were created for FM26 to represent female players in the 3D match simulations.
Out of 20, there are a number of individual attributes that each person on the database has, ranging from physical statistics like pace, agility, and acceleration to abilities like passing ability and dribbling. It also exhibits traits like courage and composure.
We had a heated discussion about how to handle the disparities between male and female players in the stats, Jacobson continued.
We thought it unfair that the game’s fastest woman wouldn’t have a 20 rating for pace or acceleration, despite the fact that “the fastest woman in the world, as we know from world records, is slightly slower than the fastest man.”
We kept it a secret, they said. When it comes to playing characteristics, we contrast men with women and men with women. There is no difference between staff characteristics and “staff attributes.”
Mollie and Rosie Kmita, two former professional players, both participated in the game’s motion capture process, and Mollie believes being a part of the women’s team will inspire new players and educate the older ones.
Because it wasn’t for us to play football, she said, “I wouldn’t have imagined playing it growing up.”
We’ll see the effects of normalizing women’s football in the game, the author says.
The amount of information and knowledge a woman’s football player will gain from managing a women’s team is exciting for someone who has never before been interested in women’s football.
