Mullins wins at Breeders’ Cup with Ethical Diamond

Media PA

Willie Mullins, the Grand National-winning trainer, won the Breeders’ Cup Turf with a stunning late run, setting a course record.

The 20-1 chance won one of Flat racing’s biggest races under Dylan Browne McMonagle, with more than £2 million going to the winner at Del Mar in California. The 20-1 chance spent the majority of his early career jumping over hurdles.

Ethical Diamond, the Ebor Handicap winner in August, came out on top against second-placed El Cordobes and Rebel’s Romance, with Minnie Hauk out of the mix.

It marks the most recent milestone in Mullins’ remarkable career, which he better known as a jump racing trainer, who won the National in April with Nick Rockett.

With my son Patrick aboard, this might be closer to winning the Grand National. Mullins, 69, said, “I couldn’t believe it.

McMonagle, 22, the newly crowned Irish champion, described the training as “unbelievable.” There isn’t much bigger than this.

Japan wins historic victory forever Young.

The Breeders’ Cup Classic, the meeting’s feature race, was won by Forever Young for the first time by Forever Young.

The third-placed Saudi Cup winner, trained by Yoshito Yahagi and trained by Ryusei Sakai, defeated Sierra Leone and Fierceness in the end this time.

This is similar to the Japanese winning the football World Cup, Yahagi said.

The victory for Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick was attributed to Notable Speech, which marked his fourth Breeders’ Cup Mile success in five years.

Frankie Dettori, a retiring jockey who placed third on Khaadem in the Turf Sprint, had no fairytale ending.

Dettori announced on Wednesday that his final ride in the United States would be at Del Mar in California, before a farewell trip to South America.

The British jump racing season accelerated earlier on Saturday when Djelo defeated Pic D’Orhy and trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Charlie Deutsch won the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby.

Forever Young in historic win for Japan

Forever Young gave Japan a first victory in the meeting’s feature race, the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

The Saudi Cup victor, ridden by Ryusei Sakai for trainer Yoshito Yahagi, was third last year but held off the 2024 winner Sierra Leone and Fierceness to score this time.

“In horse racing, this is like the Japanese team winning the football World Cup,” said Yahagi.

Notable Speech gave Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick their fourth Breeders’ Cup Mile win in five years.

There was no fairytale ending for retiring jockey Frankie Dettori, whose best finish was third on Khaadem in the Turf Sprint.

Dettori announced on Wednesday that the fixture at Del Mar in California would mark his last rides in the United States, before a farewell stint in South America.

Earlier on Saturday, the British jump racing season moved up a gear as Djelo edged out Pic D’Orhy to win the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby for trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Charlie Deutsch.

Crisis Looms In Rivers Community Over CDC, Youth Leadership

Following the resignation of the Youth Council and Community Development Committee (CDC) executives and the council’s unanimous appointment of new leaders, Chidi Lloyd, the tension in the Egbeda community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, is rising.

Without giving a reason for the former leadership’s dissolution, the chairman’s press secretary, Bright Jossy, announced the inauguration of the new executives in a statement on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Residents of Egypt, which had enjoyed relative tranquility after years of security challenges, are now facing a fresh threat to stability as a result of what they claim is an imposition of leadership on the region.

On Friday, traditional leaders, men, women, and youths gathered at the neighborhood square to voice their disapproval of the development. They urged the council to send appointment letters to those who had been chosen and accepted by the electorate, insisting that only those who had been chosen and accepted by the electorate should be recognized.

Community leaders worry that the action will cause unrest similar to the one that took place nearby Rumuji, where a youth reportedly perished in a related dispute.

The action by the council chairman allegedly amounts to an “unprovoked attack on the community’s psyche, dignity, intelligence, and existence,” according to Francis Ebee, the Palace Secretary, who read the communiqué on behalf of the community’s Paramount Ruler, Eze Dida.

He argued that these community bodies should still be constituted by the traditional institution.

“Hon. The monarch referred to Chidi Lloyd’s brutal intervention in traditional government as “morally messy, politically unfavorable, culturally illicit, illegal, socially unacceptable, and provocative.”

He urged the president to intervene and call the council chairman in order to prevent a potential crisis by calling on Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of the Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, the inspector general of police, and the governor of the state to call the governor.

However, the traditional institution assured that Egbeda’s citizens would continue to support both the Federal and State governments in their efforts to bring about peace and development.

Strictly’s Amber Davies visited by ‘pensive’ boyfriend days after Nikita Kuzmin ‘kiss’

Although Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin are close friends, according to sources, there is a great relationship between the two dancers, according to sources.

Strictly Come Dancing star Amber Davies was visited by her boyfriend days after her partner on the show, Nikita Kuzmin, was seen kissing her on the head.

The Welsh actress, 29, is paired with the Ukrainian-born professional dancer, 27, on Strictly – and sources have said that there is huge chemistry between them but the pair have denied the claims. Earlier this week, Nikita was spotted kissing Amber on the head as they left training, with an onlooker saying they “seemed really comfortable and intimate in each other’s company.”

Ben Joyce, Amber’s boyfriend, is now known to have visited Amber’s Monday training studios in North London. According to reports, Ben appeared to be “dropping a large suitcase off at the venue and was joined by their dog Oreo at the rehearsal space.”

An onlooker told The Sun that Ben “looked a little pensive — who knows if he was checking up on her,” but that he was actually going to the “scene of the crime” again. “Many blokes would find it difficult to dance with a hunky bloke, especially when there is so much chemistry on the dancefloor,” the source continued.

While playing the role in Back to the Future: The Musical in 2022, Amber and Ben first met. As he shared photos of himself and his partner Lauren Jaine carving pumpkins with him, Nikita reacted to the rumors he and Amber had earlier blasted.

Who do you believe carved which pumpkin in your first experience? The snaps, which Nikita had already posted, received a lot of comments.

The sweet snaps came after Lauren responded with a statement about a “curse” between Amber and the professional dancer. She mimed scrolling through social media to read, “Me watching all the adorable tiktoks of all the strictly couples,” in a video posted on TikTok.

Then, she explained her confusion over those who were anticipating the “curse.” She asked viewers to respect the real-life partners and ensure that they had a positive experience with the show. Since 2023, Nicole and Lauren have been dating.

Amber, who launched a career in theatre after winning the ITV2 dating show and will next year star in Legally Blonde: The Musical, has previously stressed that her boyfriend has no worries about her performing passionate routines with her Strictly professional dance partner Nikita.

She continued, “I’ve seen him kiss someone else on stage, he has watched me fall in love with someone on stage, and it’s normal in our industry.” My boyfriend is obsessed with this dance because he believes it to be my best dance.

She also insisted she would never get swayed by the show’s dancers, saying: “I love Nikita’s girlfriend. She’s so supportive and so easy going.” Amber won Love Island in 2017 alongside her then partner Kem Cetinay. The pair split in December 2017 just five months after securing the £50,000 Love Island prize money.
