England defeated Australia in their final test match against Australia thanks to efforts from warp-speed backrowers Ben Earl and Henry Pollock.
England retaliated with a performance at Allianz Stadium Twickenham that was heavy on perspiration, albeit a little weak on cohesion, after the Wallabies last year outlasted a 10-try classic.
After Harry Potter’s breakaway try gave them a lifeline to the game, Australia were only three points clear at the break.
However, England’s cushion was restored just before the hour when a snipe from Alex Mitchell and a rolling maul by Luke Cowan-Dickie ensured they could survive the final stages comfortably.

When George Clarke revealed that he was in a relationship with model girlfriend Yasmin Bennett, he shut down any speculation of a potential romance with his professional dance partner, Alexis Warr. But it looks as though he has a different struggle to overcome if his latest comment is anything to go by.
In a recent interview the TikTok sensation explained that his girlfriend is such a fans of his tanned appearance, he now feels under pressure to maintain his new look after Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking about Yasmin’s support of his time on the show, he told The Sun: “She’s fully behind it. She has not yet got the ’ick! Well, I hope she hasn’t!” He added: “I’m loving the spray tans, I live for two or three days a week looking unbelievably tanned and people are complimenting me, saying I look so healthy.”

The pressure is on to keep it up away from the dancefloor, he continued, adding that his girlfriend even favors him with a tan. Yasmin acknowledged that she more believed in him than she did prior to the Strictly journey and that she has been incredibly supportive of his development.
Since appearing on the BBC show, the demographic of his fanbase has completely taken a new turn. He has now attracted what is known as Facebook Mums, who are women who are in their 40’s and use the social media platform.
The one person George couldn’t wait to tell was his nan shortly after he signed the dotted line and was given his Strictly contract. He told BBC Bristol, “My Nan is over the moon. When I called her to say that he was doing the show, she said, “Oh, that’s really cool.”
He revealed that he recently injured himself during rehearsals despite going from strength to strength on the show. He explained the incident by explaining that he had a pinched nerve in his back for the entire week. I received acupuncture.
However, he made sure to perform on the Strictly dancefloor at his best without the impact of his injury. George’s commitment to the grueling training regimen is overwhelming, but there is no denying his choice to join this year’s lineup.
He stated to viewers in an interview with BBC Bristol, “I’ve always said that there are two or three TV shows that I just couldn’t choose,” and Strictly was one of them.
George added that he now understands the difficulty in learning the routines but is working hard to “embrace it” as a result. He eventually locks in a routine before finding the strength to keep going.

Jake Thykier, the eldest son of Claudia Winkleman, may be relieved to learn that she is leaving the “embarrassing” show. She had previously begged her to leave.
Fans of Strictly Come Dancing hit the jackpot in recent days when Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced they would step down from the popular BBC dancing competition after ten years.
For many, this is the end of a time, but for one person, it might not be so sad. Jake Thykier, Claudia’s eldest son, appears to not like Strictly and has previously begged his famous mother to give up what he perceives as an “embarrassing” gig.
Jake, now 22, has a history of detesting the glittering Saturday night show, which he spent as a teenager desperately asking Claudia to reconsider her extremely successful career.
Claudia, now 53, revealed in a 2018 interview on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast that “my eldest son has a buzzcut.” He thinks his mother is a loser because he’s 15 years old. It breaks my heart. He specifically wants me to refrain from doing it.
Claudia continued, “Mum, if you really love me, you’d stop. ” He appears embarrassed.
Claudia remained calm and held her ground while not being insulted, saying, “But that’s the whole point. I just follow him around in an effort to make him laugh. The cutest thing ever, he is.

Unfortunately, Jake’s humiliation over his mother’s top presenting role didn’t get worse over time. Mum of three Claudia shared a quote from her son, “Mum, you have to stop doing Strictly, it’s so embarrassing and my teacher has mentioned it,” while receiving an Outstanding Achievement Award at the Edinburgh TV Festival in 2023. I recently said, “See those trainers, Jake? ” He was like, ‘ OK, sorry’. ‘”
And Jake has apparently had a few suggestions as to where exactly Claudia should be sending her CV. In a 2024 episode of the Waitrose podcast, Claudia shared: “My son, about four years ago, went, ‘You have to stop doing that show… can you just work on Match Of The Day?’ I was like, ‘I can’t spell football!'”
Matilda, 19, born in 2006, and son Arthur, 14, born in 2011, are both now happily expecting. Claudia is currently delighting viewers with her recognizable fashion choices on Celebrity Traitors. The popular TV actress weds her husband, Kris Thykier, in the summer of 2000, and they have three children.
Jake won’t have to deal with the humiliation of seeing his mother present Strictly, though it’s still uncertain whether or not she will continue to present Match of the Day.
On the morning of Thursday, October 23, Claudia and Tess took to Instagram, announcing: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together, and now feels like the right time.” They went on to add: “We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.”
Since then, it has been revealed that Claudia is still in negotiations to form a partnership with The Graham Norton Show and has plans to start her own chat show. Jake will undoubtedly have his own opinion.
Jake, who keeps a low profile and keeps a low profile, seems to have inherited his parents’ strong work ethic. Not much is known about him. He enrolls in the Swiss EHL Hospitality Business School in 2021, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management.

He previously worked as a bartender and membership representative at the Copenhagen Absalon Hotel, and he also interned at the prestigious Soho House in Oxford and Mexico in 2023 and 2024. Jake recently completed his studies for his crucial qualifications while working as a bar manager in Lausanne.

Idris Elba, a lithography legend, has opened up to the Mirror about what the future holds for him and his family, and made it clear that he is considering a potential James Bond role.

James Bond rumors have been confirmed by actor Idris Elba.
Idris Elba is the one name that keeps coming up in conversation when everyone is hoping to become James Bond. Fans of the franchise may be looking forward to the long-awaited call to name a replacement British Secret Service agent as Daniel Craig’s replacement is about to pass.
Since Craig’s departure in 2021, which he had previously performed in No Time To Die, has been in the air. And despite the fact that Bond 26 is scheduled to begin in 2027 and have a 2028 release in 2028, Elba has, regrettably, refrained from making any claims that he will be hired and fired for the role.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, the 53-year-old star shot down any hopes of him ever doing Bond, claiming age is against him. “I can’t believe I am still being asked this at 53!” he said.
“You commit to a decade of making movies, sometimes a little longer,” says Bond. Nobody wants to see Bond “circling” in his mid-thirties.
Elba’s decades-long, highly impressive career led to the establishment of the links. Perhaps his portrayal of Luther the brilliant-yet-troubled homicide detective was most notable.
While the series hit its heights on BBC at the start of its nine-year initial stint in 2010, it later moved over to streaming giants Netflix, where its popularity continued to surge.
Elba co-starred in Luther: The Fallen Sun, a sequel film from 2023, in addition to five gripping series. And while he avoided Bond, he has now made fun of the possibility that he might decide to purchase his long, elegant trench coat in the future.
He acknowledged that “Luther is the character I have played the longest.” He remarked, “I probably get the most out of each character.” “It takes such concentration to play Luther; he is so complex, and I enjoy playing him because he transports me to places I’ve never been before.”
“I don’t think I’m ready to say I have hung up his coat right now, but there is nothing to report.”
His success extends beyond Blighty and Luther, for which he also received a 2012 Golden Globe nomination. The well-known actor has also established himself as a big hit abroad, naming John Cena and Keanu Reeves as his close friends.
He has appeared as Heimdall in movies like Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hobbs &, Shaw, a spin-off of the Fast &, Furious franchise, was also starring him.
He also acted as Chief Bogo in the well-known kids’ movie Zootopia, as well as The Suicide Squad.
Despite his emphatic rise to fame and new glitzy lifestyle across the pond, Elba continues to fly the flag for Britain. The Hackney and East Ham native has stayed true to his roots and is even working with King Charles III.
He described his participation in a new King’s Trust documentary as “extraordinary.” Elba’s crucial efforts to combat knife crime are followed by this. He has since produced a documentary called Idris Elba: Our Knife Crime Crisis, which he adapted from his extensive campaign work to reveal some of the harrowing tales of those who have been a victim of the terrible crime.
He stated to us about his most recent collaboration with the Monarch: “We must be able to give them opportunities that they haven’t been getting.” We must form these partnerships to help kids off the streets because The King’s Trust does some incredible work.
He continued, “Knicker crime is not just a criminal issue; it affects all walks of life. There is a moral duty.” Grieving families, prison overcrowding, and issues with education. The only way to see real change is to go down the issue’s path.
Elba described how his passion for spreading awareness of the issue developed as a result of becoming a father. People talk so casually about a minimum prison sentence, but the point is to divert these kids away before they even consider picking up a knife.
It’s not just Charles who Elba has worked with from the Royal Family. The man of many talents was also the DJ at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
He described it as one of his life’s highlights when he first took to the decks at their Frogmore House reception. In 2019, he even mention dropped some of Meghan’s song requests, including those from Whitney Houston, Still D. R. E., and Dr. Dre’s Still D. R. E.
After making the decision to leave their respective responsibilities, he only has praise and admiration for them.
He declared it “amazingly amazing” and said, “They have a voice and they are using it.” When we’ve met them, they’re just fun to be around, Elba continued. They are a great couple.
He claims that there is still much more in the pipeline, despite the fact that his future antics may not allow him to wear Bond’s suave tuxedo. He is optimistic that his wife Sabrina will be a part of many of his upcoming projects, though.
The actor’s third marriage comes after the pair, who have been married since 2019. Although the couple is not expecting children, Elba has two sons who were in previous relationships: Isan and Winston.

He stated, “I would love to do more projects with my wife, both personally and professionally, about working closely with his family in the future.
We have a skincare line, and my wife, who luckily also happens to be my best friend, wants to do more with her. You also want your children to enjoy themselves. As long as it’s their path and they are engaged in a cause of passion, I’ve always said that I don’t care what they choose to do.

Match 2 of 3 of the Rugby League Ashes
England (4) 4
Goals: Smith (2)
Australia (4) 14
The wait is getting longer. Another gallant English failure. Australia’s influence continued.
The Kangaroos won their 14th series win, an Ashes run that started 52 years ago, with a 14-4 victory in the second Test on Saturday.
In order to complete a 3-0 series whitewash, Australia, like in 2003, attempt to play a sold-out third Test at Headingley in Leeds next week as a dead rubber.
However, this performance was more appropriate for a Shaun Wane side after being brutally beaten by Kevin Walters’ team at Wembley a week ago.
After failing to “show up” for the first Test, the England head coach had promised his team would provide a better account of themselves, and they came out on top.
After Nathan Cleary and Harry Smith exchanged penalties, they enjoyed the better of the first period, but the scoreboard displayed four points each instead of their territorial dominance.
England’s issue was that they couldn’t break through an Australian defence, which was as good as it could get.
There were some promising moments, with Morgan Knowles knocking on the ball before grounding it under the sticks before Dom Young was fingernail-struck from a Herbie Farnworth grubber kick to start the corner.
However, the tourists blew the game away in four second-half minutes.
Cameron Munster twisted away from a George Williams tackle to score on the next Australia set, and a shocking error was made on the left of England.
And with the match clearly in full swing, Australia received yet another error.
Canberra Raiders second row Hudson Young was able to collect the loose ball when Cleary’s booming kick ricocheted out of Tom Johnstone’s hands.
With just three minutes left in the game, a major conflict between a number of players caused the frenetic opening, with Tino Fa’asuamaleaui of England and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui of Australia receiving punishment for their actions.
And that set the tone for a more assertive and aggressive England display than at Wembley.
Some of the scruffiness in England’s sets was exacerbated by Smith’s inclusion due to his notable game management skills, and debutant AJ Brimson justified his inclusion at full-back.
Despite England’s excellent work, they were unable to reclaim the win and, even when Australia’s full-back Reece Walsh was sin-binned in the second half, frustratingly for Wane and his team on the sidelines, they were unable to find a way back into the game.
England: AJ Brimson, Dom Young, Herbie Farnworth, Jake Wardle, Tom Johnstone, George Williams (capt), Harry Smith, Mike McMeeken, Jez Litten, Matty Lees, Kai Pearce-Paul, Kallum Watkins, Morgan Knowles, and Dom Young.
Mikey Lewis, Alex Walmsley, Morgan Smithies, and Mikolaj Oledzki make changes.
Walsh, Nawaqanitawase, Staggs, Shibasaki, Addo-Carr, Munster, Cleary, Collins, Grant, Fa’asuamaleaui, Crichton, Young, Carrigan, and Walsh are Australia’s speakers.
