Celebrity Traitors’ rich list with surprising star on top

The Celebrity Traitors rich list has been revealed ahead of tonight’s finale and it may come as no surprise that presenter Jonathan Ross is one of the celebs at the top of the list

Celebrity Traitors quickly became one of the most talked about TV shows this year and tonight’s final will see the remaining five contestants compete to win the jackpot for their chosen charity, with Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga still in the game.

Ahead of the highly anticipated finale on Thursday, 6 November, it has been revealed which celebs have the biggest bank balance. It may come as no surprise that long-standing talk show presenter Jonathan Ross is one of the celebs at the top of the list.

Jonathan Ross’s production firms filed their accounts with Companies House and revealed he has £1,462,005 in reserves. These are made up from BFQ Ltd, which has £768,607, while Hot Sauce T.V. Ltd has £693,398. The companies paid approximately £181,500 in corporation tax, which suggests a £726,000 profit for the year.

Another celeb high up on the rich list is Alan Carr. Despite his UK firms being dissolved, it has been reported that his overall net worth would be upwards of £20 million.

Cat Burns, who has made it to tonight’s final as one of the last standing Traitors alongside Alan, also has an impressive bank balance. The singer has two music-related firms: CB Collaborations Ltd accounts, which reveal an overall profit of £237,817, and Homegrown Live Ltd which shows a profit of £192,790, giving a profit of £430,607 for the last year.

Comedian Nick Mohammed’s Riddikulus Ltd has £843,338 in equity and reportedly paid £32,506 in corporation tax last year, suggesting a profit of £130,000.

Fan favourite of the show, former rugby union player Joe Marler, might have retired last year but he still boasts a hefty bank balance. Joe Marler Ltd had reported reserves of £746,490 last year.

The BBC show released a teaser trailer earlier this week, giving fans a sneak peek at the tense finale to come. The clip saw Alan, Cat, Joe, Nick and David walk through the eerie halls of the Traitors ‘ castle as a clock strikes twelve.

Sitting at the final roundtable, we watch as host Claudia Winkleman tells them: “Players, this is it. Who can you trust? Who is on your side? For the final time then, the floor is yours.”

Earlier today, ex contestants Kate Garraway and Clare Balding reflected on their Celebrity Traitors feud live on Good Morning Britain, with Kate accusing Clare of calling her a Traitor behind her back. Clare interrupted: “She kept arguing with me Ed, she kept arguing if somebody put your name down – I never put your name down.”

To which Kate fired back: “But you told everyone you thought it was me?”

After Clare said that she said that at the roundtable, Kate responded: “Jonathan and David both said it was you. Let’s carry on.”

Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns ‘gives away’ major secret about the final

Singer Cat Burns, who recently appeared on Strictly, appeared to give away a huge secret about who won The Celebrity Traitors, just hours before the final episode is due to air

Cat Burns appeared to give away a huge Traitors secret ahead of the the big final, which is due to air tonight in the UK. She appeared on BBC Radio 2 where she caught up with presenter Scott Mills and discussed her new album and, of course, The Traitors.

Tonight’s final will see the remaining five contestants compete to win the jackpot for their chosen charity, with Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga still in the game.

Speaking about her experience on the BBC show, Cat said: “I’m really glad I did it, it’s such a crazy experience. It’s crazy that we are just a bunch of adults who want to go and play a murder mystery game. It’s just so fun.”

Cat added: “I don’t think I am that great of a liar, my mum watches me and she says ‘I can just tell that you’re lying”.

While discussing the show, Cat appeared to hint that she knew who won the show, and it could be her. Scott playfully asked, “You don’t really know who wins, you’ve not seen the edit, they could have changed it, a different person could have won”.

Cat suspiciously responds, “Could they?” in a high-pitched voice and laughing. Obviously, her response it completely down to interpretation, but any reaction is likely to send fans into a frenzy this close to the final.

Cat was also asked what her ritual was for watching the show, to which she answered: “I watch, usually through one eye, covered with the volume really low.”

It comes as the Celebrity Traitors finale has been leaked online just hours before airing on BBC One, causing chaos across the internet.

While the big final is due to air tonight in the UK, Canadian streamer Crave reportedly uploaded the episode yesterday evening, with hundreds of people watching it and finding out who wins the game.

The BBC has addressed the Celebrity Traitors’ final being leaked online ahead of its broadcast tonight, with the broadcaster sending an urgent message to fans.

Responding to the leak, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “We kindly ask anyone who thinks they know the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to keep whatever they believe they know to themselves.

“Please avoid sharing potential spoilers so that the millions of fans who have been faithfully following every twist and turn of the series can enjoy the final this evening.”

The Mirror understands that the leaked episode has now been removed and that it was not a mistake made by the BBC. The episode will be airing in the UK at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer tonight.

The Killing Field

Fault Lines investigates the killings of Palestinians seeking aid at GHF sites in Gaza.

After months of blockade and starvation in Gaza, Israel allowed a new United States venture – the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – to distribute food. Branded as a lifeline, its sites quickly became known by Palestinians and dozens of human rights groups as “death traps”.

Fault Lines investigates how civilians seeking aid were funnelled through militarised zones, where thousands were killed or injured under fire.

Attackers target ship off Somalia’s coast amid piracy resurgence

Attackers firing machineguns and rocket-propelled grenades have boarded a ship off the coast of Somalia, United Kingdom officials say of the latest assault, likely by resurgent Somali pirates, in the region.

“The Master of a vessel has reported being approached by 1 small craft on its stern. The small craft fired small arms and RPG’s towards the vessel,” the British military’s UK Maritime Trade Operations centre said in an alert issued on Thursday. It warned ships in the area to “transit with caution”.

The private security firm Ambrey also said an attack was under way, saying it targeted a Malta-flagged tanker heading from Sikka, India, to Durban, South Africa.

Ambrey added that it appeared to be an assault by Somali pirates, who are reported to be operating in the area in recent days and who seized an Iranian fishing boat to use as a base of operations. Iran has not acknowledged the seizure of the fishing boat, called the Issamohamadi.

Details of the vessel attacked on Thursday correspond to the Hellas Aphrodite, which changed its track and slowed down at the time of the attack. The ship’s owners and managers could not immediately be reached for comment.

Another maritime security firm, the Diaplous Group, said the attacked tanker had a crew of 24 mariners, all of whom reportedly locked themselves into the ship’s citadel for safety during the attack. The vessel did not have an armed security team on board it, the firm added.

The European Union’s Operation Atalanta, a counterpiracy mission around the Horn of Africa, has responded to other recent pirate attacks in the area and issued a recent alert to shippers that a pirate group was operating off Somalia and assaults were “almost certain” to happen.

Thursday’s attack came after another vessel, the Cayman Islands-flagged Stolt Sagaland, found itself targeted in a suspected pirate attack that involved both its armed security force and the attackers shooting at each other, the EU force said.

Piracy off Somalia peaked in 2011 when 237 attacks were reported. Somali piracy in the region in 2011 cost the world’s economy about $7bn with $160m paid out in ransoms, according to the Oceans Beyond Piracy monitoring group.

The threat was diminished by increased international naval patrols, a strengthened central government in Somalia and other efforts.

However, Somali piracy has surged again since late 2023. According to Solace Global Risk, a travel risk management company, the decline in antipiracy patrols and the relocation of funds to counter Houthi rebels activities contributed to the rise in attacks.

McClean incident ‘dealt with’ – Wrexham boss Parkinson

Wrexham say the incident involving James McClean punching a Cardiff City fan has been “dealt with”.

The 36-year-old said he felt “threatened” by some Bluebirds supporters prior to the EFL Cup contest between the sides at the Stok Cae Ras on 28 October.

McClean told Talksport: “I’m in my workplace and I feel I should never feel threatened in that workplace… I wasn’t waiting for him to make the first swing. So I did.”

The Republic of Ireland international added: “Somehow, there were four male Cardiff fans – late 20s, early 30s.

“They recognised me [and] immediately started running their mouths off at me. I ignored the first jibe.

“The second, I responded to and I confronted them about it.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson revealed he spoke to the versatile wing-back on the night of the incident, adding that the matter is closed as far as the club are concerned.

“I had a chat with James on the evening and it’s been dealt with,” said Parkinson, speaking after his side’s 0-0 draw with Portsmouth.

“That’s it. No more to say on that tonight.”

McClean was left out of the matchday squad for Wrexham’s draw with Pompey on Wednesday with a hip issue.

“James has had an injection in his hip, he’s been carrying on for weeks with it,” added Parkinson.

“We needed to get that right. We took the decision to do to get him available for the weekend.”

Shaughna Phillips reveals health struggle after birth of her second daughter

Shaughna Phillips has spoken about one health issue she is experiencing in the aftermath of giving birth to her second daughter, Sofia Phillips-Webb, who she shares with Billy Webb

As Shaughna Phillips settles into life as a mum of two after welcoming her second daughter, the former Love Island star has revealed she is facing an unexpected postpartum setback.

The 31-year-old gave birth to her baby girl, Sofia Phillips-Webb, on Halloween. She referred to her daughter’s birth as “magical”, adding that it left her feeling “completed” in ways she “didn’t even know was possible”.

However, the reality star admitted she is experiencing issues with postpartum swelling. Shaughna uploaded a video of her severely swollen feet to Instagram, joking: “The flip flops are staying for a while longer it seems”.

In the clip she rested her foot on a baby chair and wiggled her toes to show how puffed up they had become. Postpartum swelling is common as the body works to flush out excess fluids from pregnancy. While it eases up for most new mums within a couple of weeks, in some cases it can last up to six.

Shaughna announced Sofia’s birth in an emotional Instagram reel where she revealed that her daughter weighed 7lb 4oz, gushing: “Our littlest love has completed us in ways I didn’t even know was possible. The dreamiest experience for our perfect girl.”

She shared a photo of herself, her boyfriend Billy Webb, and their newborn, adding: “So many amazing photos to share with you all and I cannot get over how magical that experience was. I’ll have 20 more please!”

In another post, she revealed that November 6 had been her daughter’s actual due date, writing on a sweet snap of her sleeping baby: “Happy due date my darling”. She later debuted a gold necklace engraved with both her daughters’ names.

Sofia is Shaughna’s second child with her partner Billy, who was jailed in 2023 for drug offences. The pair also share a daughter called Lucia, who is two.

Billy was released from prison just before Sofia’s birth. Shaughna previously revealed that she conceived Sofia during one of Billy’s brief visits home, and explained that she had been tracking her ovulation and was shocked at how quickly it happened.

She said: “I was like, ‘You know what? Why not? Let’s just see’. And literally, the next day, I said to Billy, ‘I think I’m pregnant.’” Although she became a mum under difficult circumstances, and has had to take her young daughter Lucia to a prison visiting room just so the girl could see her dad, Shaughna has been determined to keep her family together.

The mum previously admitted: “I never would have chosen this life for my daughter. I don’t think it hit me what was happening until I got into the building. I was so nervous, but it was never a question for me. I always knew I was going to take Lucia to visit her dad regardless of what was going on between us at the time.”

The reality star also shared that she was worried for Lucia in the run up to Sofia’s birth, explaining: “I was hoping for it, but then the second I found out, I instantly felt guilty for Lucia. I was like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done? I don’t want you to ever think that you were being replaced or anything like that’. It literally breaks my heart when I think about it.”
