Elon Musk, a billionaire, has failed to persuade a federal judge in Washington, DC, to move a lawsuit against the late disclosure of his growing Twitter stake in Texas, claiming he was too busy defending himself in the country’s capital.
The richest person in the world has “considerable means” and spends at least 40% of his time abroad, according to US District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan on Thursday, but she “takes Mr. Musk’s convenience seriously.”

According to her, “Mr. Musk’s brief indicates that he has spent considerable time here this year,” in reference to his time as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President Donald Trump.
Additionally, Sooknanan added that she could proceed with “reasonable alacrity” because Texas judges have larger caseloads than her court.
Musk claimed that he was an “incredibly busy individual” who worked 80+ hours per week and frequently slept in his office or factory when he sought to move the case. He claimed that Washington, DC, would impose “substantial burdens” on litigating there.
The Reuters news agency contacted Musk’s attorneys for comment on the request for comment. The government shutdown, which started on Wednesday, was not addressed by a SEC spokesman.
According to Forbes, Musk’s wealth reached $500 billion for the first time on that day.
In January, Musk was sued by the SEC because of his 11-day delay in disclosing his initial 5-percent stake in early 2022, which caused him to purchase more than $500 million of shares at artificially low prices.
It wants Musk to pay a civil penalty and forfeit the $150 million that he allegedly saved for unsuspecting investors. The case is being referred to as dismissed by Musk. In October 2022, he renamed Twitter X and purchased it entirely for $44 billion.
Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring tunnel business are all based in Austin, Texas, where Elon Musk resides.

He continued, “People keep asking me what I believe will happen in the afterlife.” I tell them, “I have no idea, but it won’t be long now,” so if you hand around a little, I might haunt you and give you the answer. “I’ve no idea,” I reply.
Ozzy continued, “One of the topics my family won’t let me discuss on my tombstone is definitely what I want on it.”
Ozzy’s book was finished after making a triumphant return to Birmingham for the Villa Park show, which featured Sabbath giving his final performance alongside metal legends Metallica, Pantera, and Slayer.
Father-of-Six Ozzy had previously made speculative decisions regarding what might be carved on his gravestone, claiming that no one would forget a notorious 1982 incident from his Diary of a Madman tour.
Ozzy Osbourne was infamously tricked into biting the head off a rubber bat that he believed had been thrown on stage during a show in Des Moines, Iowa, only to discover it was incredibly real.

Ozzy wrote in his memoir that he had reservations about returning to England for his final performance, “Well, I made it. England’s place again. Birmingham is now back. My final performance was referred to as “Back to the Beginning.”
He unflinchingly stated his depressing expectations, saying, “For a while, I was persuaded that my last trip home would be in a pine f***ing box.”
He admitted that when Sharon first mentioned the idea of the farewell concert to me, he didn’t believe there was much chance of me making it to 2025. “I mean, I’ve got to be honest with you, I’ve got to be honest with you.
The rock star remarked that the overwhelming love he had sought throughout his battle with addiction was attained by the Villa Park crowd at its best.
In his final performance, Ozzy recalled the feeling of belonging and tranquility he felt while seated on the throne: “At Back to the Beginning, I felt at home, I felt at peace.”
He said about his long-standing career: “I felt comfortable. I’m gonna miss doing it, going on stage. It’s the only world I’ve known for 57 years.”

Rob Rinder has urged the public to stand with the Jewish community after the atrocious Manchester synagogue attack. The TV presenter slammed the incident, which police have classed as a terrorism incident.
Five people were injured and two were killed in the car attack and stabbing. Greater Manchester Police initially declared the attack a major incident, but officers later shot the suspected attacker dead.
Taking to Twitter/X following the tragedy, the 47-year-old TV presenter, who is Jewish, said: “On the holiest day of the year we are attacked at a Manchester synagogue. Our children walk to school behind barbed wire protected by guns.

Yet some still respond to this atrocity with “what about… “This is my country, the sanctuary my grandfather found after surviving the Holocaust, promising freedom under the rule of law. “
He continued, saying that he was praying for those responsible and thanked the brave people who responded to the tragedy. A community this small cannot be on its own, says Rob.

Anyone else I’m thinking of right now who feels afraid for themselves and their loved ones because of who they are also. Being Jewish is heartbreaking and frightening, too.
Although I’ve said this before, it goes without saying that my thoughts are also with Gaza’s innocent residents. Being proudly Jewish and amp; opposed to the horrific attack of today does not negate the other.
No matter what I say, I know. Someone somewhere won’t like it. However, I really don’t have to say that anything is okay.
Following the attack, a cordon was placed around the Heaton Park synagogue, where armed police, paramedics, a bomb disposal unit and firefighters remain on scene.
On Yom Kippur, the Jewish community’s most holy day, is the day that my thoughts, as well as those of my officers and staff, are with the families of the loved ones who have been affected by today’s horrific incident.
The investigation is now being led by Counter Terrorist Police, and this has been formally designated as a terrorist incident. We believe the identity of the offender has been established, as has been confirmed by CT policing, but it is premature to disclose this information until we are certain of it. Additionally, I can confirm that two additional people have been detained in connection with this incident and that inquiries are ongoing.

Sue Holderness has paid tribute to her late co-star Patrick Murray, saying that he “will be greatly missed”. The 76 year old actress – who portrayed Boycie’s glamorous spouse Marlene in Only Fools and Horses – posted on X on Thursday (02.10. 25) afternoon to honour her BBC sitcom colleague.
It was revealed this morning that Patrick, who was best known for playing Mickey Pearce in the iconic comedy, died aged 68 after battling lung cancer. Sue shared a tribute to Patrick on social media, writing alongside a photograph of Patrick: “R.I.P. darling Patrick. Much love. You will be greatly missed.”
Carol Challis, 79, expressed her condolences to Patrick’s wife Anong and their daughter Josie, who also passed away in September 2021, saying she lost her husband to cancer.

She added the caption “Sullivan loved Pat’s Mickey Pearce” to the collection of photos in honor of the late sitcom’s creator, John Sullivan, who passed away in April 2011 after suffering viral pneumonia for six weeks. Patrick on X received special recognition from Only Fools and Horses’ devotees.
One user commented: “The faces we grew up with in the 70s and 80s weren’t just on TV – they became part of our childhood, shaping humour, culture and even how we saw the world.

We will miss our comedians and the joy he brought to many because he was a regular visitor to our conventions.
Patrick was given a lung cancer diagnosis in 2021. He revealed the following year that he had received the all-clear and that his cancer had been “cured” after undergoing chemotherapy and an operation to remove a cancerous tumour in October 2022.
Sadly, the sitcom star took to X – then called Twitter – in April 2023 to say that the cancer had returned and spread to other parts of his body.
