Germany arrests three men suspected of targeting Jewish institutions

Three men are being detained by German authorities on suspicion of planning a significant act of violence against Jewish targets in Germany, allegedly for Hamas’ benefit.

The three men are alleged to have been “foreign operatives” for Hamas and to have been involved in German-targeting attacks on Israeli or Jewish institutions.

A number of firearms, including an AK-47 assault rifle and several pistols, as well as a significant amount of ammunition, were discovered during today’s arrests, according to a statement from the federal prosecutors.

The three men were detained in Berlin on Wednesday, identified only as German citizens Abed Al G, Wael FM, and Ahmad I, who were born in Lebanon. The three were in their 30s or 40s, according to a security source.

A judge will decide whether the suspects will be detained before going on trial on Thursday, when the suspects will show up in court.

Germany and the European Union (EU) as a whole label Hamas as a “terrorist” organization.

In what prosecutors described as the first court case against members of the Palestinian organization in Germany, four Hamas members who were suspected of plotting attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe went on trial in Berlin in February.

Prior to the incident, “anti-terrorism” investigators observed the suspects arguing over weapons in a handover in Berlin and discovered functional weapons, including a Glock pistol, according to a prosecutor’s office spokesman.

Searches have also been conducted in the eastern city of Leipzig, where one of the suspects lives, and have forensic technicians are looking into the arsenal. The spokesperson added that authorities searched Oberhausen in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia as well.

Due to the Holocaust’s legacy, Germany is one of Israel’s most powerful allies, and synagogues and other Jewish institutions have tight security. It did not recognize Palestinian statehood last month along with France, the UK, and a number of other nations.

Hamas has launched numerous attacks against Israeli civilians throughout the years, but it has rarely operated outside of Israel and the Palestinian territories. Questions will likely arise regarding whether the suspects were acting in accordance with Hamas’s leadership’s instructions or whether they were simply Hamas supporters.

Israel is continuing its genocidal war against Gaza as a result of the arrests, despite the growing international outcry and repeated appeals for a ceasefire. Israel has also put a crippling aid obstruct on the area, where the majority of its two million residents have been forced to flee repeatedly and are now in severe famine and extreme hunger.

Local health officials report that Israeli forces have killed at least 66,148 Palestinians since the assault began nearly two years ago, but experts warn that the actual death toll could be three times higher.

Hamas announced it would examine US President Donald Trump’s peace proposal to put an end to the war as a result of the arrests.

In Berlin, tens of thousands of people have recently gathered to protest the German support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza. A large demonstration was called out by a coalition of about 50 organizations, including pro-Palestinian organizations Medico International, Amnesty International, and the opposition Left Party, over the weekend.

Keith Urban ‘dropped huge hint’ about Nicole Kidman split over a year ago

A journalist’s report has revealed that a conversation with Keith Urban over the past year allegedly indicated the potential rifts in his marriage to Hollywood star Nicole Kidman.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman stunned the world when their split was announced earlier this week. However, it appears the music legend had been dropping hints that all was not well much before their divorce became public.

It was revealed on Tuesday that Nicole has since filed for their divorce, despite claims saying the separation was “unwanted” on her end. But now, an interview from a year ago seems to hint Keith wasn’t happy with how things were going.

The Grammy Award winner was reportedly getting angry about the number of inquiries his Hollywood wife made of his alcohol addiction shortly after their wedding when it was said to him during a conversation with The Times.

His “shield was raised” at the time of the questioning, according to The Times. Before his wife was mentioned, they claimed he was “charm personified” and had a happy musical conversation.

However, journalist Ed Potton added that he “spinned” when I brought up the incident of Keith going to rehab. He said, “I just don’t want to give you guys a headline about my wife.”

In their TikTok video, the outlet’s reporter continued: “He never lost his cool but there was a deep sensitivity underneath that brush off.” He added that Keith “knew the drill” when it came to interviews.

Ed continued to claim that Keith’s marriage to Nicole “undeniably boosted his success and sobriety” and that he will always be able to recall their snippiness as he once more refused to mention his wife.

He claimed that Keith’s marriage to a global superstar may have been the cause of his feelings rather than the interview.

Following news of their split, it’s thought Nicole and Keith have agreed to a unique custody agreement. The pair share two daughters and it’s said Keith will only get to see them for just under two months a year.

According to court records, Nicole and Keith have come to terms regarding the actress’s primary residential parent. She will have their daughters for 306 days of the year, according to the paperwork, and they will stay with Keith for the remaining 59.

Every other weekend from 10am on Saturdays to 6pm on Sundays, Keith will be with his kids. Then, Nicole will have them for the rest of the time.

Additionally, they will divide up special occasions. The country singer’s daughters will have their fathers celebrate Father’s Day and Thanksgiving with him while his soon-to-be ex-wife will celebrate Mother’s Day and Easter with them.

They will still be required to make significant decisions about their children together, such as any educational ones, according to the document.

The two are required to not “speak negatively of one another or about other family members,” according to the law. Additionally, the agreement requires Nicole and Keith to “encourage” their children to “love the other parent.”

‘Heat the whole room’ with £9.76 heater that costs 13p to run as Ofgem ups energy price cap

Customers have discovered an affordable heater that “heates the entire room” for less than tenners as Ofgem’s newly increased price cap comes into effect in October.

Homes in the UK are anticipating higher heating costs as the weather turns chilly. Ofgem announced today that its energy price cap will increase by 2% on October 1.

This increase will increase direct debit customers’ annual energy bill from the previous year’s £1, 720 to about £1, 755.

As more affordable home heating options are being sought out by Brits across the country as they reduce their heating bills. A plug-in heater from Argos is “significantly less expensive than central heating” and only costs 13p per hour to run.

According to Wales Online, the Bush MH-04W Fan Heater might be just what budget-conscious households need this winter and autumn because it provides a less expensive way to warm rooms without raising the thermostat.

Based on its 0. 5kW power consumption, the energy calculator Sus-it estimates that the device operates for only 13p per hour.

The device, which has a digital screen, is said to work well in rooms up to 10 m2 and allows users to select their preferred temperature setting from 1 through to 12.

One of these is significantly less expensive to run than central heating during the winter months, according to one customer.

comparable to items like the Amazon price reduction of the Russell Hobbs Ceramic Plug heater, which is now just under £19. Users can program a timer and temperature level with a digital screen, which makes it simpler to do so.

Dreo is best known for its efficient electric heater when looking at larger options. The Electric Heater, which costs around £51.96 on Dreo’s website, is a new model that can provide 1500W of power, while the Space Heater, which is a reputable brand, gained popularity for its powerful “space heater.”

This results in significantly more warmth being produced by the Argos device than the above-mentioned plug-in alternatives and focusing on larger areas.

The customer who purchased this gave it five stars for “stay cosy in their office area.”

Another customer praised the product as “excellent, very useful if you need heat or something extra.” Very effective for heating a large room on a personal level. It’s a very quiet heater that is very powerful for its size.

Another customer claimed that their boiler “broke,” and that they had purchased it because it was “great little portable device” when it was “packed up” in the colder months.”

However, shoppers should be cautious with where to place the device because there needs to be enough room for it.

Due to safety regulations, which specify 50 cm of space on both sides of the heater, I had to return it for a refund, one customer said. Only 18 cm from the corner and 15 cm from the wooden door frame are my sockets in the utility room.

However, it has proved to be a reliable heating device for those with enough room. Another customer praised the product for “working perfectly right out of the box, easy to set a temperature, and ample room to keep warm rather than heating the entire house.”

Top clubs should be ‘protected at all costs’ – Wagner

In the midst of ongoing negotiations to redistribute a portion of their wealth within the EFL, Birmingham City owner Tom Wagner says lower-league clubs “should not take too much” from premier league players.

As a result of the government’s pressure, discussions over a deal to split Premier League revenue are continuing. A new independent football regulator is being established.

In the event that a deal is not reached, a bill to establish the regulator became law in July. It will have backstop authority.

The Premier League contends that English football can govern itself, claiming that a regulator will have “unprecedented and untested powers to intervene in the distribution of]its] revenues” and have “a negative impact on competitiveness and investment in world class talent.”

Wagner, an American investor, said at The Summit that “the best clubs in English football must be protected at all costs.” The top clubs can’t support the pyramid in excess of what we can take.

The interest will decline, particularly from the US market, which will encourage interest and capital flows into football, if the top teams are not dominant, I mean internationally, with the very best players and products.

The pyramid is a “loved by me” because “we have experienced a lot of it,” but the top clubs with high success have high brand acclaim and acclaim. We anticipate that interest will spur the growth of the entire pyramid.

Birmingham are among the richest clubs in the EFL, which has attained a record 111 points last season when they were promoted from League One to the Championship, supported by significant US investment since 2023.

According to Transfermarkt, Birmingham spent more than the rest of the division combined last season in League One, or £25 million.

Along with Welsh club Wrexham, which are owned by a consortium that includes Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, they are one of the EFL’s biggest spenders.

A two-thirds majority in the Premier League’s eleven teams could enable them to come together to pass significant changes, including a much-debated 39th game overseas.

Wagner supports hosting a game abroad in the United States, despite the club’s last-season suggestion to host Wrexham there.

He continued, “We have two US-owned clubs in the Championship, and our broadcast matches went very well there.” What we can do internationally is only scratching the surface, in my opinion, which is very exciting.

The co-founder of Knighthead Capital Management also discussed Birmingham’s proposed multipurpose stadium in depth in detail with the group of co-founders of Knighthead Capital Management.

The stadium, according to the club, will make Birmingham more of a football destination because it “doesn’t make sense” why people continue to travel to London and Manchester but leave the “second city”

Wagner added that he would welcome Birmingham’s local rivals, who are enjoying success on the field.

He said, “I respect fans enjoy the misery of their crosstown rivals,” but that if I were to support Villa or Wolves in our immediate area, I would also support clubs in the Birmingham area, which would lower the standard of Birmingham football.

Why wouldn’t we want Birmingham to become more interested because Manchester United and City are two fantastic clubs in the same city and London have many great crosstown rivals?

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bankers’ Committee collaborated to fund and oversee the renovation of the Center.

The transformation of the facility into a national asset and a launchpad for Nigeria’s creative industries was aided by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, which provided policy direction and oversight.
