Jade Goody worked tirelessly until her passing to protect her sons’ financial security. Bobby and Freddy, her sons, were just five and four when Jade passed away, aged just 27 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer seven months later. However, Jade was determined to give them a life unlike her previous ones.
Her mother Jackiey was a drug addict when she was a child, and her father, Andrew, was also a drug addict and allegedly a pimp. Jade was born and raised in the East London Borough of Bermondsey. Even in her final months, Jade made an effort to ensure that her two sons would never be able to live the life they had raised.
It was her appearance on Big Brother where Jade made a name for herself and became one of the nation’s first reality stars, and was instantly catapulted to fame. Through this, she found herself landing lavish brand deals, launching her own products, and later appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.

When she died on March 22, 2009, Jade left a staggering £3million behind for her two boys in a trust and shared her wishes that their dad, This Morning presenter Jeff Brazier, used some of the cash to pay for their sons to be privately educated. But, Jade’s widower, Jack Tweed, later claimed that Bobby and Freddy didn’t get the full benefits, despite her continuing to work throughout treatment.
In 2014, Jeff made a public comment about Jade’s desire to continue working while being treated. Jade signed a remarkable $ 700,000 deal with OK ahead of her 2009 wedding to Jack. The magazine that owned all of their wedding photos and images from the big day.

She vehemently desired for them to receive a never-heralded upbringing. However, it was claimed that Jade’s estate had been hit by a £1.8 million tax bill just two years after her passing. In her final four years of life, Jade allegedly did not file any income taxes.
However, Jeff later explained that her own Essex-based beauty salon had caused more tax issues. He responded, “I am aware that everything is a mess.” Jade’s problem was that she wasn’t good at taking advice, which I only know now.

“It would go in one ear and out the other if you tried to tell her something.” Although she desired that both Bobby and Freddy receive private education, only Bobby attended Bishop’s Stortford College, which was said to have been more appropriate for his ADHD needs.
In a 2019 interview with The Sun, Jack said, “If she had known, Jade would have broken.” She would be devastated. The person is dead, and I have never been able to understand that. Later, Jack claimed that he should have paid more attention to her estate estate beneficiary.
In order to avoid inheritance tax, he was able to transfer funds to the trusts Jade had established by acting as a “conduit” for Bobby and Freddy’s will. In an effort to help pay for Bobby and Freddy’s education, he later claimed that he had given the trustees a portion of the proceeds from their wedding.

However, Jack was left devastated after the taxman had taken a sizable sum of money. He stated, “I don’t want to accuse anyone because something just doesn’t seem to go my way. There is no way around it. I probably should have been more involved in the money issue, keeping an eye on where everything went and making sure no one wasted it on me. But at the time, it didn’t feel appropriate for me to participate in that.
Despite Jack’s assertions about the funds, Jade’s mother claimed in 2019 that a sizable sum had still been left over for her son’s education. In a trust, there is money for the boys. Before revealing that Freddy “loved” his state school, she said, “Bobby’s private education is still funded by Jade’s money.”
After Jade’s death, Jack claimed that she had tried to split the money they’d earned from their wedding photo shoot and that he had not “take a penny” from her. He claimed that he had only inherited Jade’s car, which was valued at £16, 000. Jade claimed that Jade wanted to make sure he was “alright” because he was young, but he objected.

Footballer Jadon Sancho has appeared to have confirmed his relationship with singer and rapper Saweetie after months of speculation. The two were first spotted together for the first time in January this year after she visited his football home of Stamford Bridge.
Jadon, 25, and Saweetie, 32, were pictured meeting one another with a hug as she was seen beaming from ear to ear. Fans were left confused over the rapper’s sighting as she had never shown any signs of being a fan of Chelsea FC which led to speculation over her dynamic with Jadon.

The sports star’s tattoo artist revealed that the pair had taken two tattoos to his studio on August 14. She admired his new tattoo behind his ear while he shared a picture with him and the other.
He wrote, “Just want to show our appreciation to your girlfriend and you. Jadon’s left ear, Quiava, and the words “her only” are engraved on his hand, along with Saweetie’s middle name, Quiava.

Southern Brave had just dismissed Australia star Phoebe Litchfield, and they were in with a chance – Northern Superchargers were wobbling at 59-3 in pursuit of 116 to win The Hundred, and their leading run-scorer was back in the dugout.
The match would be in the balance if there was one more wicket.
Except that earlier this year, Brave’s players had a taste of England’s Ashes experience: the world-class Australians just kept coming.
Nicola Carey embodies the staggering strength in depth of world cricket’s juggernaut – the all-rounder has not played for Australia since 2022 but came in at number five and cruised to 35 from 25 balls, leading the Superchargers to victory with 12 balls to spare.
There were no more jitters or qualms as Annabel Sutherland, a fellow Australian all-rounder, won the unbeaten stand of 60. They hardly broke a sweat, actually.
It is not breaking news that Australia are the dominant force in women’s cricket. England has won three T20 World Cups, a 50-over World Cup, and the Commonwealth Games title, but they haven’t won the Ashes since 2014.
Therefore, it shouldn’t surprise that their players are among the most sought-after in the era of franchise cricket. But even players who cannot break into the Australia side, including Carey, Jess Jonassen and Amanda-Jade Wellington, are able to dominate.
The figures underlying Australia’s dominance of Hundred
Australians made up just over 16% of The Hundred’s women’s squads this year, with 17 featuring out of 105.
In contrast, there were four South African players and two New Zealanders and two West Indies players.
Four of the top 10 run-scorers in the competition, including Litchfield, the tournament’s MVP, were the Aussies who particularly excelled with the bat. She was closely followed on 287 by former Australia captain Meg Lanning – another who no longer plays for the national team.
Australians totaled 2, 495 runs, with an average of 25.45, while England-qualified players (73 players, just shy of 70%) managed 3, 995 runs, 15.85. The gap still exists between the Australians, who are on average 26.62, and the English, who are on average 19 48.
The visiting superstars also scored 11 fifties to England’s 15, while Grace Harris, Carey and Litchfield had the highest strike-rates, and four of the top five six-hitters were Australian.
Although England’s Lauren Bell took 19 wickets, they were not quite as effective with the ball as they did with the other 23% of the total wickets.
Due to the sheer number of all-rounders they produce, this is another significant factor in why so many Australians are chosen.
Ellyse Perry, Ash Gardner, Sutherland, Jonassen, Carey – alongside the likes of Marizanne Kapp and Hayley Matthews of other nationalities – will almost always deliver 20 balls or four overs, depending on the format, and bat in the top five.
However, this leaves a number of teams fielding players who are almost making up the batting average in the lower order rather than the bowling.
Although this year’s squad featured Perry, Gardner, and Beth Mooney, there has been some improvement in this area following post-Ashes criticism regarding a lack of succession planning for Heather Knight’s England reign, such as the Hundred final, which featured two English domestic captains, including Georgia Adams and Hollie Armitage. Charlie Dean also led well for London Spirit in the absence of Knight.
Uncapped domestic players have traditionally had to overcome this, but recent performances have suggested that this may start to change.
Kira Chathli, the only non-international player in the top 10, finished the tournament as the sixth-highest run-scorer and the only non-international player in the top 10.
Similarly, 18-year-old Davina Perrin provided the moment of the tournament with her stunning 42-ball century in the Eliminator, arguably the finest knock in the competition’s five years and a display of dominance far greater than any other international player had managed this year.
It “can’t help but benefit you as a cricket player,” the statement read.

Anya Shrubsole, a former England bowler, says the advantages of having Australian players play outweigh any other issues relating to their dominance after playing for Southern Brave in the first three of The Hundred.
An up-and-coming English player, an example being young spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman for Brave, is likely to learn a lot about her game and the standard required for international cricket by bowling at Litchfield in the pressure moments of a Hundred final.
There are “a lot of advantages to having them in a tournament,” Shrubsole told BBC Sport. “You have international players, England players, domestic players who get to see first-hand what those players do and how they go about doing things,” Shrubsole said.
“From my point of view, if you’re on top of your game and asking enough questions, cricket can’t help but be beneficial for you.”
” It’s great for the tournament and if you pay enough attention it’s good for individual cricketers ‘ development. “
Another argument could be that domestic players are preventing development from due to their dominance.
Fi Morris, an all-rounder, did not bat and did not bowl in any of his six games for the Manchester Originals this year. While she acknowledges the concerns, Morris shares Shrubsole’s view that the learning opportunities are far greater with the Australian contingent around.
Morris, a 31-year-old player, told BBC Sport, “I’m not a young player coming through the ranks, but I can definitely see that point of view.”
“Do you stand to gain more from talking to Meg Lanning for three weeks about batting and what you can learn from her in training, or do you stand to gain a little bit higher in the order?”
What is the competition between different nationalities?
Due to the expansion of franchise tournaments in addition to The Hundred, this does present a challenge for the wider women’s game.
As of next year, The Hundred will join India’s Women’s Premier League with teams being owned privately – Australia’s Women’s Big Bash League is currently the exception from the biggest three.
The best players will have to win, which will require the best players, of whom Australia will make up the majority of the players overseas.
How can the West Indies, in this context, create the next Hayley Matthews? How does a promising young all-rounder like South Africa’s Annerie Dercksen get her breakthrough?
Shrubsole claims that Australian franchise cricket is about to start recruiting Australian players, but that she also believes domestic partnerships can help support other nations, saying, “You can’t have it all.” You can’t have these private investors who have invested millions of pounds and say, “Oh, by the way, you can’t pick that many players because we want to develop our own.”
” The reality is that the priority is going to be winning. The broadcasters want the best players because they will have the best cricket, and the new owners want the best players because they have a better chance of succeeding.
“So can countries like New Zealand, which have a lot of up-and-coming players, find a way to get their players into our domestic structure or Australia’s, where they have?
” There’s a bit of a kind of ‘ England, Australia, merry-go-round ‘ at the moment. “
Morris also calls for more franchise tournaments around the world and makes reference to the global issue.
The men have the ILT20, the PSL, the CPL, and the SA20, Morris said.
” So I think we need those smaller tournaments and those tournaments around the globe that might clash with an Ashes series, so then people from other countries get more of an opportunity.
“I believe that’s unquestionably a global issue that needs to be addressed and improved.”
With the announcement of more money to be won for the upcoming Women’s World Cup, it’s possible that Australian cricket will take home the $3.3 million top prize, with only India and England as other likely contenders.
The prospect of other countries catching up with those three is already highly unlikely.
As Africa’s qualifying rate rises, Egypt and Morocco may purchase tickets for the 2026 Fifa World Cup during the international window this month (3-9 September).
Four rounds of preliminary rounds are still open after an extended campaign that started in November 2023 and ends in October.
Only the nine group winners will be able to advance to the finals in 2017, with the four runners-up going into November’s play-offs for a second chance to qualify via an intercontinental route.
Depending on outcomes, a number of other countries could play alongside the Pharaohs and the Atlas Lions to travel to the United States, Mexico, and Canada with two games left.
Nigeria is in danger of losing out to the United States in an early elimination race, while Cape Verde, Comoros, and Sudan, which has been devastated by civil war, are still searching for historical credentials.
Egypt in charge of Group A.
Burkinabe and Egypt currently lead Burkinabe by five points, but the West Africans are confident that Mohamed Salah and company will prevail on Tuesday.
Before that, the Stallions take on Djibouti and Ethiopia are welcomed by North Africans.
Trio of Group B in contention

With West Africans and Sudanese still unbeaten, they square off against one another in a three-way battle for the top spot between the leaders of DR Congo, Senegal, and Sudan.
The Teranga Lions host Sudan on Friday at 5:00 GMT, followed by Kinshasa on Tuesday, where they will face the Congolese. This could be one of the most memorable two games.
If South Sudan wins the game away on Friday and then their two closest rivals draw, the Leopards could increase their lead at the summit to three points.

Morocco will become the continent’s first qualifier for the 2026 finals after becoming the first African nation to reach the Qatar 2022 semi-finals.
The Atlas Lions would earn their third point later in the same game against Niger if closest rivals Tanzania didn’t win away against Congo-Brazzaville on Friday.
Even if Tanzania, who are six points adrift of the North Africans, wins, Morocco could receive the points they need from their Monday trip to Zambia.
Group F: Two-way tussle

The Elephants, who are still unbeaten and haven’t conceded a goal, are currently tied at one point with Ivory Coast.
With a victory over Seychelles on Wednesday (13:00 GMT), the Gabonese will surpass the continent’s current champions, who will host Burundi two days later.
The decisive matchup will be between Gabon and Franceville on Tuesday.
Algeria in its home stretch of Group G
Algeria leads Mozambique by three points, but the north Africans have a far greater goal difference than the rest of their group.
Les Verts travel to Guinea on Monday before taking on third-place Botswana on Thursday.

After a home game against Liberia and a trip to Equatorial Guinea, the North Africans may not be visible until October when those two teams meet.
Namibia, which has already defeated Sao Tome and Principe, must still earn the most points in their away matches against Malawi in order to maintain its composure.
If the Equatoguineans succeed in challenging Fifa’s decision to impose two forfeits following their initial 1:0 victories over Namibia and Liberia, all of that may change.
