Kaelan Casey’s loan deal with Swansea City is on the verge of completion.
The 20-year-old academy graduate from the Hammers has made two Premier League substitute appearances, but he will go on loan to seek first-team experience.
With Alan Sheehan being unsure of his options for the Championship opener against Middlesbrough on Saturday, Casey might make his Swansea debut.
Ben Cabango, the club’s captain, is doubtful for the Boro trip because of a pre-season calf injury.
Both Filip Lissah and fellow center-back Ricardo Santos are injured, as is Filip Lissah.
With under-21 players Arthur Parker and Jay Fulton occasionally playing midfield at times during the pre-season, Sheehan’s only currently fit senior centre-back is Cameron Burgess, another of Swansea’s summer recruits.
According to local authorities, an overnight Ukrainian drone attack has sparked a fire at a Sochi oil depot, a resort in southwest Russia, which hosted the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
The attack took place one day after the Ukrainian military claimed to have set on fire the Ryazan oil refinery in central Russia. Since Russia started its war in February 2022, Ukraine has regularly attacked Russian oil and gas infrastructure as a response to attacks on its own soil.
Veniamin Kondratiev, the governor of Russia’s Krasnodar region, wrote on the Telegram messaging app on Sunday that “Sochi suffered a drone attack by the Kyiv regime last night.”
According to Kondratiev, the drone wreckage struck an “oil tank, which caused a fire.”
Mayor of Sochi Andrei Proshunin claimed that the blaze was being put out without any injuries and that the situation was “completely under control.”
According to Rosaviatsia, Russia’s air transport regulator, air traffic was briefly suspended at the airport in Sochi but has since resumed.
In contrast to other Russian cities, air strikes on Sochi, which is 400 kilometers (250 miles) southeast of the Ukrainian border, are comparatively uncommon. However, two people were killed by Ukrainian drone strikes in the area late last month, according to local authorities.
The fire has not received any comments from Ukrainian officials.
In response to the rise in Russian attacks on its territory in recent weeks, which have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians, Kyiv has warned that it will increase its air strikes against Russia.
Russia launched 76 attack drones and seven missiles at Ukraine overnight, according to Ukraine’s air force, and hit eight locations throughout the country on Telegram on Sunday. One missile and 60 of the drones were destroyed, according to Ukraine’s air defense units.
Regional governors reported that in the first 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning, at least three people were killed and more than 12 were hurt in Russian attacks in the front-line regions of Zaporizhia and Kherson.
At least seven people were hurt in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv as a result of a Russian missile strike, according to the regional governor, who also destroyed or damaged dozens of homes and civilian infrastructure.
The Mykolaiv region was on the front lines at the start of the war, where artillery strikes and aerial attacks were frequent. Drones and missiles have remained a constant threat there even after Russian forces were forced back in late 2022.
No injuries or damage have been reported from Russia’s overnight launch of a short-lived missile attack on Kyiv.
If no agreement is reached by early September, Trump, the president of the United States, declared in July that he would impose “severe tariffs” on Russia. Trump promised to give Putin 10 to 12 days last week, which means he wants to see progress in peace efforts by Thursday through Saturday.
The Kremlin has so far rejected the idea of an end to the Ukrainian conflict.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, stated last week that he wanted peace, but that his demands for a “unchanged” Moscow’s military offensive had not been met.
Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, has calmed residents of Maiduguri by calming concerns about the Alau Dam’s rising water level, confirming that there is no cause for concern.
Residents in the state capital have become more concerned about potential flooding in flood-prone areas as a result of recent downpours.
Shortly after inspecting the Alau Dam’s ongoing reconstruction work, the governor made the statement.
Zulum expressed concern for his administration as a result of the widespread panic. He claimed that current assessments indicated that the situation was under control.
According to the engineering knowledge we currently have, the governor said, “We have come to the conclusion that there is no cause for alarm.”
He explained that new water channels had been constructed to lower the dam’s pressure, and that he had anticipated a 4 to 5 drop in the water level in the coming days.
No one has a foretelling of what will occur tomorrow, though. This program is being worked on and will continue to be monitored. He continued, “The contractor is doing a good job.”

The governor also urged people to avoid constructing structures on waterways and blocking drainage systems in flood-prone areas.
The state’s residents should be very cautious, Zulum said, “Most importantly, I want to warn them to desist from building on waterways.”
He urged people to follow the law and take proactive flood prevention measures. He said, “You have to make sure you clean it whenever there is drainage in front of your home.”
Zulum made it clear that the state government would review the city’s master plan to identify and correct errors that might cause flooding to worsen.
He said, “We must go back to the drawing board, examine the master plan, and ensure that all tributaries and waterways are cleared to allow the main canal’s inflow,” adding that we must also check the master plan.
“We must put in place some very painful environmental standards, but I don’t think we have any other choice.”
In the midst of a long-running row between David and Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have renewed their wedding vows.
After three years of family strife, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz renew their vows.
It has been months since news emerged that the Beckham family were going through a troubled time as Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz noticeably distanced themselves from the clan. But it looks as though the public family feud has done little to dampen the couple’s love for one another as they have just renewed their vows after three years.
A source close to the couple reportedly confirmed the news of their renewed nuptials to the People magazine. The source said: “This is a moment to celebrate their love and commitment, and to create a meaningful memory together.”
This comes after the touching moment Lucy Bronze consoles rumoured girlfriend and rival Ona Batlle.
After three years of family strife, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz renew their vows.
Brooklyn, 26, who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, first started dating the Hollywood heiress in 2019 and announced they were engaged the following year.
The couple wed in April 2022 at Nicola’s sprawling family estate in Florida in what has been hailed as one of the most expensive weddings to date.

The aspiring chef only recently posted a few months ago about the day he made the proposal to Nicola on social media. He captioned the post, “It’s been five years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much,” while sharing a photo of them together and kissing Nicola’s cheek.
Nowhere on their third wedding anniversary did Victoria and David publicly wish their son or daughter-in-law a happy anniversary.

The former England or Spice Girl player’s dislike of Brooklyn’s anniversary post only made the growing conflict between them seem more obvious. No one of Brooklyn’s brothers, Romeo and Cruz, reportedly mentioned anything about their brother’s anniversary, according to reports that added to the speculation that the rift had already affected their siblings.
Back in April, Brooklyn posted a throwback picture of him and his wife on their wedding day and captioned the message saying: “Happy 3 year anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart x I’m so lucky I get to spend everyday with you and wake up to your beautiful face everyday you are my world x I love you so much Nicola xxxxxxx.”
When Brooklyn failed to attend his father’s 50th birthday party in May, which, according to reports, left David heartbroken, the family feud started to wane.
It also emerged that neither Nicola or Brooklyn were following his brother’s Instagram accounts. But according to the publication, sources revealed that it was in fact Cruz and Romeo who have blocked Brooklyn.

In a brutal fight that was the co-main event of Saturday’s Fight Night in Las Vegas, Scotland’s Chris Duncan defeated Poland’s Mateusz Rebecki by unanimous decision.
At the conclusion of the match, Duncan’s favor was awarded a score of 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27.
The result brings the 32-year-old’s professional mixed martial arts record to 14 victories and two losses.
Duncan was also on the receiving end of some punishing shots from Pre-Fight favorite Rebecki throughout the entire fight.
Who won’t quit, according to Duncan, is unbeatable. “I don’t quit.
I’ve endured everything, I say. You wouldn’t understand what I was through as a young child.
He remarked to his swollen face, “See this, this is nothing.” “It’s painful what I went through as a child.” Nothing about this is superficial.
Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki first fell in love in 2023 while living in the Love Island villa, but the pair recently broke up after two years of dating.
Love Island star Whitney Adebayo has claimed her ex-boyfriend Lochan Nowacki ‘called her skin dirty’ during their relationship in an explosive TikTok post – which Lochan denies. Whitney, 27, posted a TikTok in which she made the claim, but later deleted the post after it went viral on the platform.
However, she has since shared the post once again, with Lochan sharing his own response to the allegations. The former flames met on Love Island in 2023, before finishing up in seventh place on the series.
The pair continued to date outside of the villa until earlier this year when they split. It comes after Cat Deeley found moving back to the UK ‘really hard’ before split from Patrick Kielty.

Whitney has now made an outrageous claim about Lochan while they were together on TikTok following their split. Whitney poses in a stunning, bright pink strapless bikini on a beach in Barbados in the post where she makes the allegations. She captions the first image, “You look happier,” in the top photo.
In the second photo, she is looking at the camera while lying on a beach. “Thanks! ! ” she wrote on top of the second image. He used to call his skin “dirty,” and I eventually wed a pink, glittering heart emoji. Whitney also shared more bikini-themed photos with herself.
Whitney’s sister then posted to defend her sibling against some criticising her for making the allegation. Liz shared a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp conversation, which appears to be with Lochan and dates back to August 18, 2024.
Please speak to her if she is completely dry and makes me feel awful, but I never said that because I thought her skin was dirty and I felt sick. She is so awkward that she can’t look at me in the same way. Liz, I’m not sure what to do.

Writing on top of the screengrab on her Instagram story, Liz said: “The fact that evidence is needed is absurd to me why can’t women speak and be heard? I’m tired of seeing people constantly paint my sister as this person and jumping on the ‘hate Whitney’ bandwagon.
It is vile to me that she endured such hardships and that it took so long for her to heal and share her truth to be shamed. We’ve all stayed in positions that didn’t work for us as women, but when you do, you really start to become a woman.
She concluded her criticism of her message by saying, “Be kind and give grace.”

Since then, both Whitney and Lochan have posted videos to address the accusations on TikTok. Lochan posted a five-minute video on the platform to defend himself. He said, “I don’t even know where to start this really.”
He stated that he and his family are “devastated and upset” about the allegations but that he felt “no choice” but to address them on his own social media account.
Whitney has since spoken about the situation, and Lochan goes into great detail about it. He claimed that Whitney started showing off her new nails a year into their relationship.
She obfuscated and said, “My hands are so clean, yours aren’t,” and she obfuscated. And I responded, “No, they’re not,” he said.
It was an off-the-cuff remark, but I was just annoyed that she had her hands in my face. She looked at me shocked and said, “You’re calling me dirty. That surprised me, I must say. I felt insulted by my girlfriend’s calling me a racist because she knew I would never say that.
I want to say that I’ve never called someone’s skin dirty, but I’ve never. That is the most upsetting statement in my opinion.
Lochan then discusses the accusations against him before stating that he later messaged Whitney’s sister to try to resolve the situation.
In a sincere Instagram video about her life in April of this year, Whitney revealed her breakup with Lochan. Whitney said, “It’s strange how you can wake up one day and decide everything you once loved wasn’t enough.” This voiceover was a supplement to a video of what she’s been up to recently.
“Hi, my name is Whitney, and I’ve chosen to be her today. After a cold, dark winter, I used to adore the spring, the warmth, the light, and the sense of life returning. However, April 4th this year seemed like a cruel reminder of the chill of winter. He made the decision to stop choosing us and to stop choosing me. And I was soon found myself by myself.
Whitney has also posted a video to TikTok, but it only lasted five minutes, compared to Lochan’s. She addressed the allegations in a previous post, saying she finds it difficult to focus on the camera because she doesn’t like to discuss her “feelings.”
She states, “This is for women, and especially my black women who don’t feel like it will be heard. Give me an example, and I’m sure you can relate to your story because you never know when something important might come up.
