Ruth Langsford hints at This Morning return with co-star admitting ‘we adore each other’

EXCLUSIVE: After leaving a regular role on the ITV show alongside estranged husband Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford has revealed she would think about returning to This Morning on one condition.

On This Morning, Ruth Langsford.

Ruth Langsford, 65, has said This Morning bosses “only have to ask” if they want her to return to the ITV daytime show. The star previously fronted the programme alongside her ex, Eamonn Holmes, 65, on Fridays, until the pair were replaced by Alison Hammond, 50, and Dermot O’Leary, 52, back in 2020.

However, the Loose Women presenter has now hinted that one co-host in particular would be a key part of her decision if she ever considered a This Morning comeback.

In an exclusive interview, Ruth, who announced her marriage split from former This Morning co-presenter Eamonn last year, revealed she would love to work with co-star and friend Rylan Clark, 36, again.

Meanwhile, Rylan has been hosting the ITV show with Josie Gibson, 40, who made her own return after taking time off to present a solo series on Channel 5.

Ruth and Rylan hosted This Morning together for a period in the summer of 2022, after Eamonn departed the ITV show for his GB News role, with the mum-of-one affectionately branding the former X Factor star her “TV son”.

When asked if she would return to This Morning, Ruth responded, “If they’d have me, they only have to ask, especially with Rylan,”

Ruth sweetly remarked, “I love Rylan, and I love him. Really, he’s like my son. Who knows since we have already worked together and we adore one another?

Even if they don’t get back together on The This Morning sofa, the presenter said she would be interested in working with Rylan on another TV project.

Ruth said, “We might work together, it might not be This Morning; we might do something else.”

‘I wanted to quit football after disgusting urine prank’

Images courtesy of Getty

It all began with goalkeeper Tony Thompson, like all other matchdays before.

Before the nitty-gritty on the pitch, breakfast is served with beans on toast for breakfast, a 40-minute drive to Warrington Town’s Cantilever Park, a cup of tea and a chat with team-mates in the dressing room, and then a cup of coffee.

In the second round of the FA Trophy, Warrington squared off against Guiseley, the northern premier league’s top division rival.

Both side clubs had a big game, with the winning team getting closer to the Wembley final.

By the time it was too late, Thompson, who was growing up on Liverpool’s books, was ready to leave after a “knocked me sick” incident.

Thompson reached for the drinks bottle by his net and gulped some of what he thought was water as the tie was still in progress.

While Thompson was focusing on the game, a Guiseley fan behind his goal climbed over the pitchside barrier and exchanged bottles.

The keeper claimed that the bottle he had drank from was filled with urine rather than water.

Other fans filmed the incident, which was shared more than two million times on social media.

Thompson, 30, says, “At first, I wanted to be sick.”

What will you do about it, the lad said as I turned around to confront the perpetrator.

My head was completely gone, I thought. It grew a little tense.

I slammed the bottle in my hands and poured it on the youngster. I reacted incredulously and said, “That’s disgusting.”

Thompson received a three-game suspension for his reaction, which was later reduced to one, and Warrington lost the game 1-0.

Thompson left the game after returning home and saying, “Today I fell out of love with the game.” It is outrageous to be told that I was prohibited from reacting because I am a player. That person has seriously endangered my health and that of my family, and made me sick.

41, 000 people liked the post, which went viral.

He goes on to say that it was enthralling for a few days before going mad. “I was receiving interviews, but someone urinated in my bottle, so I’m not known for being a good goalkeeper.”

I allegedly didn’t want to continue playing.

Thompson’s career includes a spell at Rotherham United while Emiliano Martinez, who is currently a student at Aston Villa, was an Arsenal loanee.

Thompson has rekindled his love for football, despite Martinez winning the World Cup with Argentina.

He has left Warrington and will have his usual pre-game breakfast before joining Bootle in the FA Cup’s first qualifying round against Yorkshire side Silsden on Saturday.

Thompson claims that to continue playing after that agonizing experience in 2022 required a lot of soul-searching and persuasion from family, friends, and team-mates.

Chris Kirkland, a former Liverpool and England goalkeeper who was attacked by a fan while playing for Sheffield Wednesday in 2012, also received a message of support from him.

Thompson, who was a member of the Altrincham team that won six ties to advance to the FA Cup second round in 2019, says, “I was ready to quit right away.

No player is allowed to be treated that way on a football field. I enjoy some fan interaction. At the conclusion of the game, I typically shake hands with opposition supporters.

What transpired against Guiseley wasn’t banter. I don’t play football for reasons like that.

“Ultimately, I decided that I wanted to keep playing because something like that shouldn’t cause me to stop.” If I can’t physically play any more, I’ll stop, right?

Thompson received a letter a few weeks after the incident.

We all make mistakes, according to the saying.

Guiseley claimed the fan had been tracked down and permanently banned after the FA Trophy game three days later.

Cheshire Police questioned Thompson about pressing charges, but he insisted against it.

He claims that “we all make mistakes” as young men.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not soft and what he did was repulsive,” I said. However, I didn’t want to hinder his future with one incident.

He apologized in a letter I received. I did read it, but because of how raw it was, I was right back.

Thompson wants to play football for as long as possible and has since given up on his life.

He left Rotherham without making a senior appearance, and the majority of his playing time was in the non-league.

His only previous clubs were Morecambe in 2015-16, while his only previous appearance was in the Football League, which included Chelmsford City (loan), Southport (loan), Chester (loan), and AFC Fylde.

He continues, “I adore the family atmosphere of non-league football.”

I was able to identify everyone at Altrincham for five years, and they all recognized me.

“The club has a strong family feel,” says Bootle. The supporters and the chairman share the same goals. For the love of the game, that is.

Vincent, Thompson’s partner, gave birth to his son last month, and his father finds him inspiring.

Thompson says, “I’m completely happy that I chose to continue playing.”

Amal Clooney, a human rights lawyer, stunned on Thursday night in Venice as she walked out with husband George Clooney amid his health issues.

Due to a “bad sinus infection,” George canceled Venice Film Festival activities. Due to the illness, the Hollywood star was unable to attend a press conference for his most recent film Jay Kelly.

Without him, his co-stars Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, and Billy Crudup, who directed George’s new movie and Emily Mortimer, who wrote the script with Baumbach, attended the event in Italy.

However, the Oscar-winning actor made it to Jay Kelly’s premiere on Thursday, wearing a strapless gown, a fitted bodice, and a front-heavy short miniskirt.

Lou Teasdale romance puts Andy Carroll at risk of angering new bosses

Andy Carroll has been warned to “rein it in,” but some people claim that it doesn’t look good and that he is at risk of causing a stir among his new bosses because of his romantic relationship with Lou Teasdale.

As they flew to Ibiza earlier this week, Lou and Lou shared a carousel of photos from the trip on Instagram.

According to legend, Andy Carroll’s romance with Lou Teasdale left him “blinded.” The footballer, 36, and the makeup artist, 41, broke up with them earlier this month, but they later reconciled and flew to Ibiza. According to reports, Dagenham & Redbridge FC bosses have spoken to the sports star.

Andy, who previously played for Newcastle and Liverpool, recently suffered an injury and is out of play until next month but insiders say that all of the concerns have fallen on ‘deaf ears’. A source told The Sun: “Andy’s relationship with Lou attracts a lot of unwanted attention. He was pulled in by the boss and warned to rein it in.

“But Lou blinds Andy,” Andy says. His explanation fell flat.

Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale
This mirror selfie from Andy and Lou’s trip earlier this week was shared.

The insider claimed that the insider was just trying to make his girlfriend happy, even though he knew jetting off would “cause trouble” but would instead “try anything” to recover from his injury. She loves taking trips, so even though he’s supposed to be training, he flew to Ibiza, according to the source. He is shocked by Lou’s decision to travel abroad while recovering from an injury. “Everything she says goes,” she says.

The Mirror has contacted Andy’s representatives for comment.

On Instagram earlier this week, Lou shared a carousel of holiday photos. Andy snapped a mirror selfie with Lou while holding the phone simultaneously. While Lou yelled at him while he was away, he stuck his tongue out for the picture.

While Lou chose a glamorous white dress, he looked more at ease in a white and blue striped linen outfit. For the sweet picture, they held hands. He was posing in a driveway with his arms crossed in front of her.

After that, Lou shared a second mirror selfie of them while they were donning swimwear on the beach. The makeup artist donned a tiny bikini with matching nails and a tiny neon green bikini. She also held hands with her beau during the photo.

At the time of the couple’s initial split, it was reported that Andy had dumped Lou after growing tired of her high maintenance behaviour(Image: andytcarroll/Instagram)

She simply captioned the post, “Love you.” According to reports, Andy had dumped Lou after becoming agitated with her demanding behavior at the time the couple split.

However, the Daily Mail claims that Lou was the one to call the time during their romance.

The former Premier League player said, “I love Lou and I love her family,” in a recent interview with The Sun on Sunday. We row like a couple would.

He also addressed the status of his divorce from former TOWIE star Billi Mucklow, whom he split from in 2022. He continued: “Things have been difficult for me and I’m going through a divorce. Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it’s not a problem in my life.”

Andy continued, “We’re doing better together and overcoming our difficulties.” Prior to their brief split, the couple had been dating for more than a year.

And at the time, they stopped following one another on social media. Andy even attempted to remove Lou’s Instagram account completely. The couple’s signature love-up posts of each other have since been renewed since their recent reunion.
