The 60-year-old actress, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the original SATC series and movies, took to Instagram on Friday, 1 August, after showrunner Michael Patrick King announced the spin-off series was ending, with its upcoming two-part finale yet to air.

Carrie shared a collection of photos from her time playing the show’s protagonist in a photo collage in her Instagram post. She wrote in the post, “She crossed streets, avenues, rubies, so it appeared. She broke habits, heels, and hearts. She leaped, fell short, fell into puddles, loved, lost, won, won, and won. Aging and becoming wiser. She made the toughest, worst, and most wisest decisions. For the new, the old, friends, and love, travelers both far and near.

She continued to praise Carrie for her legendary SATC and And Just Like That moments, mentioning all the things her character had been known for doing. “Changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City,” Parker said.

She had “truly great loves and romances,” according to the article. She hailed taxis, donned heels, and danced with Stanford. She lied and told the truth. She forgave, typed, wondered, wrote, published, grieved, and forgave. walked up, remained strong, and remained out.

She dedicated her life to the promise of a new day in her beloved city and the people she cherished most, as well as hats, books, shoes, friends, and friends. She has adorned countless dresses, skirts, tutus, and has also displayed shame, pride, honor, optimism, and pride.

Hold onto hands, hopes, and the best in the group. There will never be better friends, and what a blessing it was for Carrie to fall in love with Seema and LTW, the most divine new friends.

Parker also made it clear that Carrie had “dominated her professional heartbeat for 27 years” and how she had shaped her career.

“I believe I have most loved her,” she said. She has loved her just as I have, I am aware of. Been enraged, criticized, and supported by her,” the actor continued. The greatest soundtrack and most important companion has been “The Symphony of all those emotions.” The most sentimental, sincere, and forever-debtedness are now.

She thanked the fans of the franchise and the SATC spinoff team for their support as she came to a conclusion.

And Just Like That was filled with joy, adventure, and the best kind of dedication, according to her, along with the 380th most outstanding talent, which included all the outstanding actors who came along. For each day I spend with you, I am better. Before I forget, it will be forever. Everything in its entirety. She wrote, “Thank you all. “I adore you so much.”

‘Like being with a rock star’ – departing Son’s 10 years at Spurs

“I’m not sure we’ll see another Sonny at Tottenham”, Kevin Wimmer, Son Heung-min’s close friend and former Spurs team-mate, tells BBC Sport.

In this day and age, it is a very special achievement to spend ten years with one club, especially one that is as big as Spurs.

After 454 appearances and 173 goals, Son is moving to pastures new a decade after Mauricio Pochettino brought him to north London from Bayer Leverkusen.

When the then-23-year-old signed for the Premier League in 2015 for reportedly worth £22.5 million, the South Korean international was the most expensive of its kind.

Now aged 33, Son leaves three months after writing his name in Spurs folklore by helping the team to victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final to end the club’s 17-year wait for a major trophy.

Micky Hazard, a 1982 FA Cup and Uefa Cup winner with Spurs, says, “We love players who give so much to this club.”

“Sonny will always be worshipped in these parts”.

Son will be remembered by Spurs fans for his blistering pace and memorable moments, like his incredible solo goal in 2019 against Tottenham when they were too quick for them as he ran all the way from the edge of their own penalty area, avoiding tackle after tackle, before slotging past Nick Pope.

Off it, he will be remembered by team-mates for his incredible gestures.

Son paid the price by hosting the Tottenham team for a Korean barbecue in 2022 during the pre-season tour of South Korea, before handing the entire traveling party personal presents to mark their visit to his home country.

“When he first arrived, I didn’t know much about him”, Hazard tells BBC Sport.

‘ Welcome to Seoul ‘

Before Pochettino’s signing at Tottenham and beginning a 10-year love affair with the Spurs, Son had already rejected the Argentine.

In 2013, Pochettino had just taken charge of Southampton when he met with the then 20-year-old – who was already making a name for himself with Hamburg – his father, Son Woong-jung, and his agent.

Son tried to persuade Pochettino that Saints, which was then in the Premier League, would be the best place for him to pursue his football education, but he abandoned him and moved to Bayer Leverkusen, where he spent two years before finally collaborating with Pochettino, who had been appointed Spurs manager 15 months prior.

Yet he struggled to settle in his early days in London and asked to leave less than a year into a five-year contract before deciding to stay and fight for his place.

Son departs with a Europa League winners’ medal and a slew of individual prizes, including the 2021-22 Premier League Golden Boot, which he shared with Mohamed Salah from Liverpool after scoring 23 goals, and the Fifa Puskas award (presented to the scorer of the “most beautiful” goal of the calendar year) for that run and finish against Burnley in 2019.

There have also been severe disappointments, such as losing to Manchester City in the 2021 EFL Cup final and Liverpool’s loss in the 2019 Champions League final.

In 2019, he apologised for his tackle on Andre Gomes which left the Everton midfielder with a horrific ankle injury and which resulted in the visibly upset Son being sent off.

Nevertheless, each award has kept coming in.

Four Premier League player of the month prizes, two-time winner of goal of the month, three-time Tottenham player of the year… the list goes on.

Spurs supporters have warmed to Son’s “Mr. Nice Guy” image off the pitch because he is a fierce competitor.

After Tottenham defeated West Ham in the EFL Cup in 2021, a young fan managed to get on the pitch and ran towards the player before being surrounded by stewards.

Hunderts of fans gathered at Incheon Airport in surprise as Son suddenly appeared to welcome his team-mates as they arrived in the South Korean capital Seoul for a pre-season tour three years ago.

The player, who was already in South Korea on holiday, held up a ‘ Welcome to Seoul ‘ sign with the Spurs badge on it and waved to his team-mates as they made their way out of the arrivals terminal.

Sungmo Lee, a journalist and author about South Korea’s football, claims to be at Incheon Airport that day.

Sonmania: It’s like dating a rock star.

Son is big news in South Korea.

That’s not entirely true, in fact. Son is huge news.

Son is almost always in the top three along with other top K-pop stars like BTS and Blackpink, according to Sungmo Lee, who has been studied on who has the highest brand value among all South Koreans.

“One of the reasons for that is South Korean people regard him as the national treasure and pride of the country”.

A Son icon appears above the scoreboard to indicate that he is participating in one of the country’s live broadcasts of Tottenham matches, in addition to regular television programs that are simply compilations of Son’s best goals and assists.

His face beams from giant billboards advertising anything from clothes to ice cream, and Son’s picture has also appeared on the side of the capital’s buses promoting tourism.

A massive mural in Son’s honorarium has been constructed in Chuncheon, a city that the player and his family call home and is located about 50 miles from Seoul.

England right-back Kyle Walker, who played for Tottenham between 2009-2017, recalls a promotional visit to Seoul with Son soon after Spurs finished runners-up to Premier League champions Chelsea at the end of 2016-17.

“I’ve never seen anything like it”, Walker, who spent eight years in north London before joining Manchester City in 2017, said on his ‘ You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker ‘ podcast.

Because fans would try to stop the traffic, we would make an appearance and then we would have to drive away using decoy vehicles. They all wanted to catch a glimpse of Sonny.

They would return to our hotel and spend the night outside. It was incredible.

Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, and David Beckham have all been in on it before, to a certain extent. But it was nothing compared to Sonny”.

Wimmer described it as “being in the company of a rock star,” adding that Son has kept in touch with him since he left Spurs in 2017.

“I was always joking with him about this”, he says.

“You are the most famous guy in South Korea,” I told him, but he responded, “No, no, it’s not so special.”

Former Austria defender Wimmer had arrived at White Hart Lane from Cologne in the summer of 2015, three months before Son.

Wimmer goes on to say that “I knew of him because, like me, he was playing in the Bundesliga.”

The pair struck up an instant friendship in London.

They used to converse German together when they first got better at Tottenham.

After a win at Southampton in 2016, Son and Wimmer interviewed one another – in English – for Spurs TV.

Why is Kevin my best friend, Kevin? asks Son.

Wimmer responds, “Because you are a wonderful, trustworthy person. It’s always funny with you and I hope we stay together for many more years here”.

“Now I’m a legend,” the statement read.

In the space of two years Spurs have lost Harry Kane – their all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances – and now Son.

Son scored 17 goals and added 10 assists in 35 Premier League games to help Spurs finish fifth overall at 2023-24 following Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich in August 2023.

However, Son scored just seven goals and provided nine assists in his 30 Premier League appearances in 2024-25. Additionally, he was limited to making the Europa League final in the 67th minute due to an injury-related injury-hit season.

Four days after beating Manchester United in a European final, great names from Tottenham’s past formed a guard of honour for soon-to-depart manager Ange Postecoglou’s side before the home game with Brighton on the final day of the season.

Along with Hazard, Ossie Ardiles, Pat Jennings, Keith Burkinshaw, and Martin Chivers were also present on the field.

“Sonny came up to each and every one of us, shook our hands, and said: ‘ Now I’m a legend'”, adds former Spurs midfielder Hazard.

“Despite everything he accomplished during his ten years at Spurs, he never believed he could be a legend until he won a trophy. I think there is something special about that, something beautiful. It encompasses all of his character.

Wimmer, who now plays for Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, messaged his friend immediately after the final in Bilbao to congratulate him on helping Spurs win a first major European trophy since 1984.

National treasure and service

Spurs are supported by 12 million – almost one in four – South Koreans, according to research commissioned by AIA, the Asia-based insurance firm which is the club’s shirt-front sponsor.

Sungmo Lee asserts that “son is a pride of the whole country.”

“He already proved himself to win the Golden Boot in the Premier League, which was regarded as impossible for an Asian player”.

Son’s 2020 trip to his native country for mandatory national service made headlines.

The player spent three weeks with the South Korean Military Corps, where he finished among the top five performers.

Will Son’s departure hit Tottenham’s revenue streams?

Up to 700 Son shirts are sold at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchdays, which is the highest number of any player, as a result of the increasing number of fans visiting South Korea to see their hero in action.

“They tend to be wealthy fans with disposable income”, football finance expert Kieran Maguire tells BBC Sport. They come away with two carrier bags full of items with Son’s name on the back, according to the statement “they don’t just buy one Son shirt.”

Maguire believes there could be a “small” impact on Tottenham’s finances now Son has announced he is leaving.

The difference between finishing 16th and 17th in the table (Spurs finished 17th last season) is $3.5 million, though it will be a blow to Spurs fans in terms of memories because Son has been a magnificent player for them.

” Over the course of the season, that’s more important than shirt sales from one player. “

What does Son’s future hold, as he enters advanced negotiations with Los Angeles FC for Major League Soccer?

” On several occasions, including his interview with the Korean media in 2024, he has said he won’t be a football manager and won’t be staying in football after his retirement, “adds Sungmo Lee.

He added that, for that reason, he wants to keep playing football for as long as possible.

Whatever he decides to do when he stops playing, Son’s memory will live on at Tottenham and beyond.

Warner fires Ashes ‘surfboard’ jibe at England’s Root

If Joe Root and England are to succeed in Australia this winter, David Warner claims Joe Root will need to “take the surfboard off his front leg.”

Warner, 38, is visiting England for a month while working with London Spirit in The Hundred, and he couldn’t resist making a gentle dig at former Ashes rivals.

In the late November Ashes, England will attempt to recapture the urn for the first time in ten years against Australia.

Joe Root, an England batter, has yet to record a 100 in Australia, is the big anchor, according to Warner, who is on BBC Sport.

Warner remarked that Josh Hazlewood frequently has his number quite a lot in response to the perception that Root gets out a lot. He will need to remove his front leg’s surfboard.

Warner, who retired from international cricket last year, will make his Hundred debut against Oval Invincibles on Tuesday, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two and iPlayer starting at 18:30 BST.

On August 14th, he could face Root’s Trent Rockets at Lord’s.

Root has never scored a century in Australia, making him the top Test batter in the world and essential to England’s chances of winning the Ashes.

He has been dismissed by Australia’s seamer Hazlewood ten times in 18 Tests, fewer than the 11 times that Australia’s captain Pat Cummins and India’s bowler Jasprit Bumrah have done it.

Warner asserted that “it all depends on the bowlers.”

“They will enter the game if the English bowlers can change the top order in Australia.”

In The Hundred this year, veteran bowler James Anderson could face off against Warner. The Spirit play Anderson on August 11th, with Anderson having been chosen lately by the Manchester Originals.

When asked about the possibility of facing England’s record-takers once more, Warner responded, “They are 2025 white cricket balls, not 2018 red Dukes.”

It will be a little different, they say.

England requested the 2018 batch of Dukes balls because they anticipated Anderson’s and the hosts’ other seamers’ anticipated more movement from them during the 2019 Ashes.

Warner hasn’t forgotten that Anderson suffered an injury four overs into the series, which ended up being tied at 2-2.

He “probably won’t be able to seam it around corners like they normally do,” warned Warner.

Warner will make his first appearance on English soil since the Ashes’ final day in 2023 when he plays on Tuesday.

Despite his troubled history with the English-supporting public, Warner was applauded off by the crowd at The Oval that day before the ball changes, bail swaps, and Stuart Broad’s finale.

That touched me, Warner said.

The supporters of cricket in England, who adore the game, are credited with doing so.

“We have always had our challenges and battles as individuals, but what English supporters do is respect players who have played for a long time. That was very significant.

The Spirit won the tournament’s other three seasons by placing seventh or eighth, but they did so in 2022.

In a rematch this year, Warner will play for another Australian, Justin Langer, the former opener who took Trevor Bayliss’ place as coach.

“I am aware that Spirit hasn’t performed as well over the past few years,” Warner said.

“It would be awesome for me to project some intensity and energy into the group.”

It’s about the fans and the young people who are coming out to see us, not the player or whether there’s been a little history.

Inside EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley’s wedding with sweet role for daughter

Lorraine Stanley, a former EastEnders regular, has revealed that her forthcoming wedding to Mark Perez will be “low-key” and involving just one of her former cast members.

Lorraine and fiance Mark tie the knot this month(Image: lorraine_stanley_/instagram)

Former EastEnders stalwart Lorraine Stanley – who played Karen Taylor, the lovable yet perpetually dishevelled mum on the BBC soap from 2017 to 2024 has lost 6½st over two years, and has never looked better, as she opens up about tying the knot this month. Lorraine, who has nine-year-old daughter Nancy with her fiancé Mark Perez, shares her excitement about her Big Day with her partner of 12 years after a two-year engagement, including a very special guest – and the adorable role for her daughter, 9.

Opening up excitedly about her impending nuptials, the telly star says: “Yes, it’s very exciting! I’m getting married to my partner in a ceremony local to where we live in Hertfordshire. It’s going to be low-key. From my EastEnders gang, Danny Walters is coming. I wanted them all to come, but we’re just having a small, intimate wedding at a church, then a pub with a tepee and barbecue.”

Nancy, the couple’s daughter, could also make the jaw-dropping entrance to the ceremony, according to Lorraine, who acknowledges that she is also the one wearing the “big wedding dress” or “flower girl dress.” Really, that’s modest. But I’m so excited. After dating for 12 years, Mark and I just felt like a long time.

She goes on to explain why the pair decided to make the announcement after so many years, saying, “We’re just in a really good place. Every couple goes through its ups and downs, you know, but we’re happy because it feels right. I wanted his surname, but Nancy requested that we get married, even though I know some women do not. Mrs. Perez is what I want to be. Given that we both have different surnames on our passports, I was asked if Nancy was my daughter after spending a few trips abroad. However, love is at the center of everything.

Eplaining their special chemistry, she confesses: “We’ve got an understanding, we respect each other. We give each other space, we’ve got our own lives. He’s the best father. He’s in marketing, so nothing to do with my world, though I think he could be an actor – he can be quite dramatic at times!”

It’s not the only big event coming up, though. Lorraine turns the big 50 next year, but says she won’t be doing anything crazy to celebrate the milestone. I have the wedding this year so…. no, I won’t have a big showbiz bash. We might go to Disney World Florida. We’ll see.”

Lorraine Kelly’s makeup artist shares anti-ageing product from Boots for ‘dewy’ skin

Helen Hand, a skilled makeup artist, said she wore a radiant product to keep Lorraine’s complexion glowy, and that she abides by a simple rule.

Helen, the makeup artist, gave Lorraine Kelly an anti-ageing advice.

The makeup artist for Lorraine Kelly’s makeup shows a makeup trick that can take years off of one’s appearance thanks to a myriad of skincare and cosmetic changes that can help you look youthful. The dewy complexion of Lorraine was the subject of a fascination.

Helen Hand, a makeup artist, shared her top hints for avoiding looking dated with the ITV presenter. She used the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, which is currently on sale at Boots and reduced from £52 to £44.20, to create a soft glow for Lorraine in the YouTube video.

She continued, “I always believe that having a good head of hair does make you look young.” And yes, it used to be said to “cut your hair as you get older,” but it no longer does. I always use the word “soft,” so keep it that way. As we age, you can use any color of makeup, but keep everything soft. It’s ageing if it’s difficult.

As many viewers posed the question, “What foundation did you use on Lorraine in this video?” many viewers couldn’t help but notice Lorraine’s glowy appearance. It is very dewy. Would you kindly show us the makeup tutorial for your face, a second person asked. It has a fantastic appearance.

A fresh, lightweight emulsion with a formula that claims to protect and hydrate the skin all day, the Chanel Les Beiges foundation contains over 40% of water. Smooth skin has visible pores filled with the polymer, which acts as an emulsifying agent and reduces blemishes and fine lines.

Customers can look online and find their match from the selection, but Lorraine chose shades B30 (medium shade, neutral undertone) and B40 (intense medium shade, neutral undertone).

The foundation has a delicate, silky texture that resembles a second skin by forming a layer that is invisible to the eye and barely noticeable to the touch. “Good coverage without drying out mature skin,” one customer said. The best substitute since Channel’s discontinuation of Vitaluminier is this. I used to use retailing for a lot of years.

Fans were interested in learning Lorraine’s secret to a radiant complexion.

However, a customer disagreed and claimed that the Les Beiges foundation “does not have the luminosity of your old one.”

Another shared the dewy appearance, saying, “Natural radiance in a bottle.” This foundation and the natural appearance it gives have been my absolute favorites. Depending on how you apply it, it can be adjusted to fit your needs with just your fingers and even more so with a brush. However, the skin won’t ever feel too heavy with this. My skin care routine is this, but people frequently ask how beautiful my skin looks.

Skin care enthusiasts who want a skin-like foundation with coverage will enjoy Chantecaille’s Future Skin Oil-Free Gel Foundation. It is highly regarded by famous people like Lisa Snowdon, and it typically costs £83. Shoppers can save 25% by using the BEAUTY25 discount to lower the price to £62.25.
