Meghan Markle and Harry divided over King Charles issue after ditching royal duties

There were high hopes that Prince Harry and King Charles’ family’s conflict would end when they convened for peace talks last month, but there is still a long way to go.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly divided over a potential truce with the Royal Family. The controversial couple left ‘The Firm’ gobsmacked when they ditched their royal duties in 2020 and hot-footed it to America.

They then shared their story with Oprah, Netflix and also in Prince Harry’s damning book, Spare. However, when the dad-of-two, 40, met his father, King Charles, 76, last month for peace talks, there were high hopes a reconciliation may be on the cards.

Sources now claim the monarch is pushing for a “pre-nup style” agreement to shore up any future relationship between the Sussexes and the Palace. However, Meghan, 44, is said to be “less forthcoming” over the arrangement.

A source told Closer that the Palace was “pushing for a formal contract.” There would be a set of official rules governing what information is kept secret and when and how the Sussexes can attend events. Any royal dramas should be stopped, in essence.

Meghan has been less forthcoming, they continued, adding that Meghan is said to have offered Harry a “degree of transparency.” Meghan may be less lenient than Harry, but Harry might. If their needs are not met, she is unwavering about her refusal to participate in royal negotiations.

The Suits actress, whose second season of With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix today, is said to have “floated around” security guarantee visits with her husband in the UK in an effort to mend their relationship with the Palace.

These demands, which the Royal Family reportedly has to deal with, reportedly irk the Palace.

After speaking with chat show legend Oprah Winfrey and streaming company Netflix, the source claims that the royals are still “struggling trust the couple” and are “struggling to trust them.

Adding to the tension, it’s been alleged that Prince William and Kate Middleton are reluctant to reunite with Meghan and Harry after the Spare star met with King Charles.

The source asserts that “William and Kate haven’t been involved in that process,” which is interesting. There is still a lot of harm there.

It comes after Harry admitted he would ‘love a reconciliation’ with his family in a BBC interview earlier this year, in which he conceded that “There is no point fighting any more, life is precious.”

However, it seems like a long way to go before both sides are content because Meghan and Harry are said to only want a deal “if it meets their needs” and the Palace is said to want any future relationships with the couple to be on “their terms.”

Meghan and Harry’s representatives and Buckingham Palace have been contacted by The Mirror for comment on this story.

Botswana declares public health emergency over medicine shortage

President Duma Boko claimed that the government’s supply chain collapsed as a result of steep cuts in aid from the United States and a depleted government budget.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness earlier this month warned the system was “severely strained” with $ 75 million owed to private health facilities and suppliers, making the announcement on Monday.

It cited a lack of medications for a variety of illnesses, including those caused by hypertension, cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis, asthma, mental and sexual health, and said elective surgeries were delayed.

Additionally, the Health Ministry reported a lack of dressings and sutures.

In a televised address on Monday, President Boko declared that “the medical supply chain, as run by central medical stores, has failed.” “This failure has severely impacted the availability of health supplies throughout the country.”

According to Boko, the ministry of finance had previously approved 250 million pula ($18.7 million) in emergency procurement funding. The military would handle the distribution of emergency medicines, with priority given to rural deprived areas.

“Medical prices are frequently inflated five to ten times,” according to the article. This scenario is not sustainable in the current economic climate, Boko continued.

The global diamond market’s ongoing decline is also related to the shrinking national budget.

One of the largest diamond producers in the world is Botswana, which has a population of 2.5 million. About 80% of the nation’s foreign earnings come from its vast diamond reserves, which were discovered shortly after it gained independence from Britain in 1966.

However, recent sales declines have caused a cash-strapped government to suspend some ministerial purchases last month.

Under President Donald Trump, drastic cuts in US aid have strained the economy even more. UNAIDS reported that the US provided $ 12 million through The Global Fund to combat malaria and tuberculosis prior to funding a third of Botswana’s HIV response.

Japan lodges protest with China over ‘installation’ in East China Sea

In disputed waters in the East China Sea, Japan has filed a protest, accusing China of carrying out “unilateral development.”

The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced late on Monday that it had discovered “a new structure” in the waters west of the countries’ median line, the “new structure.”

The ministry expressed regret that China continues to pursue unilateral development in the East China Sea while the East China Sea’s Exclusive Economic Zone and continental shelf are still undelined.

Shi Yong, the deputy chief of mission at the Chinese embassy in Tokyo, was reportedly “strong protests” by director-general of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau Kanai Masaaki.

Masaaki also “strongly urged” Beijing to resume discussions regarding the implementation of a 2008 agreement to cooperate in the East China Sea’s natural resources.

Since late 2010, when a Chinese fishing boat collided with two Japanese Coast Guard vessels near the Senkaku Islands, talks on the pact have been suspended.

Following Japan’s recent filing of similar protests in May and June, which were followed by Chinese-made installations, Tokyo issued its most recent statement.

US President Trump tightens grip on security in Washington

A day after National Guard troops began carrying weapons in the US capital, Donald Trump announced new security measures that made things easier for him to control the country.

Trump announced earlier this month that he would send more than 2,200 members of the National Guard as part of his plan to combat allegedly out-of-control crime in the city.

Trump ordered Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to establish a special unit within the National Guard that would “maintenance and protect public safety and order in the nation’s capital” on Monday.

Trump also mandated the hiring of additional US Park Police officers in the city under the same executive order, as well as more prosecutors to concentrate on bringing legal cases against violent and property crimes.

In a separate order, Trump also criticized cashless bail and urged law enforcement to “to the extent permissible” and file federal charges against those who were detained.

The US military noted that National Guard troops in Washington, DC are only permitted to use force as a last resort, and that they started carrying their service-issued weapons the day before.

Washington, DC, which has a majority of Democratic-voting states, as well as the Republican-controlled states of West Virginia, South Carolina, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee, are the national guard forces in the capital.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, among other federal law enforcement agencies, have expanded their presence on the city’s streets, causing some residents to protest.

Both Ms Kaye and Mr Deluca, both 70, were discovered dead when officers soon carried out welfare checks at the lavish address in Encino, Los Angeles. Their death certificates confirm they both died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds from July 10 at around 4:45pm.

According to the documents obtained by People, their date of death has been recorded as July 14 at 4:14pm, despite them dying days earlier. It is due to the time when officers found them.

The couple were shot in the head in their $4.5million home on July 10. Despite a neighbour making a 911 call to report an intruder at the property on the same day, Ms Kaye and Mr Deluca were not found until their family requested a welfare check.

Raymond Boodarian, 22, has been charged with two counts of murder as well as other offences in relation to the deaths. He is set to appear at a mental health court in Hollywood on September 3 and remains behind bars without bail.

Last month, an American Idol spokesperson confirmed the deaths of Ms Kaye, an industry veteran, and her spouse. Their statement read: “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her.

“Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.” The star had been part of the American Idol production team for 15 seasons.

According to her IMDB page, she worked as the music supervisor for singing competition American Idol for some 300 episodes.

Ms Kaye also worked in the music departments of several other TV productions, such as The Singing Bee, Hollywood Game Night, Lip Sync Battle and several Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

Ms Kaye won a number of Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for her work on Idol during her career. She previously opened up on her experience within the industry.

Speaking a the Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards in 2017, she said: “It’s one of those parts of the business that people don’t even know it exists.

“It’s a very important part of films and TV. Pretty much everything in the entertainment industry has music in it and people just think that it’s there.”
