In a continuing row over the German goalkeeper’s fitness status, Barcelona announced on Thursday that they had removed Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s captain’s armband.
The club has decided to temporarily remove Marc-Andre ter Stegen as captain of the first football team until such proceedings are concluded, according to Barca in a statement.
They announced the replacement of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo.
The dispute centers on 33-year-old Ter Stegen’s refusal to cooperate with a La Liga investigation into his long-term injury, which would allow the club to deduct a portion of his salary from their official wage.

Barcelona are once more battling to adhere to Spanish financial fair play regulations as the new Liga season draws near. They might not be able to register new players if they can if they cannot.
This month, the club intends to partially reopen Camp Nou, which has undergone a pricey renovation.
At the end of July, Ter Stegen made the decision to have back surgery after two seasons of injury-damaged. In order to stop Barcelona from attempting to have him officially declared a long-term absentee, he has refused to sign a form that allows his medical information to be disclosed to La Liga.
One of the summer signings, 24-year-old Joan Garcia, and 35-year-old Wojciech Szczesny, a veteran of the Polish league who received a contract extension for taking over during the title-winning campaign of the previous year, are putting his place in danger.
The last remaining member of Luis Enrique’s 2015 European champion team, the German goalkeeper, is subject to severe penalties, including the end of his contract.
Gregg Wallace, a former MasterChef presenter, has responded to questions posted on social media about the findings of a report forcing him to resign from the BBC cooking program.

Former MasterChef host Gregg Wallace has hit back at an Instagram user seemingly referring to his alleged conduct during his time working at the BBC.
In November 2024 it was announced that Wallace would step away from his role on the BBC cooking show while historical allegations of misconduct were investigated.
Wallace issued an apology saying he was “deeply sorry for any distress caused” and that he “never set out to harm or humiliate” in the wake of the Lewis Silkin review, which upheld 45 out of 83 allegations made against him. One of the allegations came from a complaint from a former MasterChef worker who accused Wallace of dropping his trousers in front of her – something Wallace denies.

Wallace asserted that this was one of the 38 inquiries that the independent inquiry had rejected in a recent post-reply on social media today. Wallace and wife Anna celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary in a video that was shared on Instagram.
However, Wallace’s most recent scandal was the subject of more discussion in the comment section. However, one Instagram user wrote to Wallace, “I’m surprised she stayed with you despite the things you were accused of doing.”
Wallace responded, “Possibly because she realized that I was just accused and that they weren’t true.” Another question that Wallace might ask is, “Are your pants up or down… asking for a friend.” No allegations of that nature were upheld, Wallace responded. Please explain what you thought they were.
Wallace once more thanked anyone who was offended by his actions last month, insisting that he is not “a groper, a sex pest, or a flasher.” Wallace acknowledged in recent comments to The Sun that his remarks “offended people, weren’t socially acceptable, and perhaps they felt too intimidated or nervous to say anything at the time.” I am so sorry for anyone I have hurt, and I am aware of that now.

He continued, “I don’t groper.” People assume that I’ve been exposing myself by removing my underwear. I’m perceived as a sex pest by some. I don’t.
The former greengrocer added that he finds it difficult to “read people because of his recent autism diagnosis.” He said, “I know people find me odd.” Autism is a registered disability, not a disability.
After both presenters were removed from the well-known cooking program, Wallace and John Torode’s final season of amateur MasterChef aired on BBC iPlayer earlier this week.
The first three episodes of the 21st series were made available on iPlayer early on Wednesday morning, with the first episode of the show beginning at 8 o’clock.
In the opening moments of episode one, both presenters can be seen saying, “This is the kind of stuff that dreams are made of,” while Wallace can be seen addressing a contestant and saying, “That is a cracker of a job.”
Torode was the subject of a racist language claim that was supported in the Lewis Silkin review, but the TV star claimed the claim left him shocked and saddened and that he had no memory of the incident.

The BBC confirmed the series’ release in August last month, saying that it had “not been an easy decision in the circumstances” and that it had been filmed last year before Wallace and Torode’s allegations were upheld.
The unruly behavior of Fuji maestro Wasiu Ayinde, known as K 1 de Ultimate, has been harshly condemned by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo in a letter.
Keyamo criticized the singer for blocking a moving aircraft as repulsive and against the law.
The singer was blacklisted for six months on Thursday for blocking a ValueJet aircraft from taxiing on the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday when the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) wielded its big stick.
Any local or international airline that flies the singer could lose its license, according to the minister.
Ayinde was slapped with the sanctions in response to Keyamo’s warning that the singer, who behaved disorderly, is not above the law.
Remember that two ValueJet pilots were suspended on Wednesday by the NCAA for unruly behavior at the airport.
While Ayinde was clearly visible in viral videos and a clip shared on X by the minister blocking the aircraft, the pilots had taxied the aircraft.
Ayinde was denied entry to the Lagos-bound flight because he had a flask full of alcohol in his hands, according to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). In a alleged outburst, he was imprisoned for allegedly inflicting a compulsion on an aviation staffer.
Keyamo claimed that the NCAA was correct to suspend the two erring pilots in a post on X, but he also criticized the one-sidedness of the decision, insisting that the unruly passenger also be dealt with.
Keyamo asserted that, contrary to what Kwam 1’s agents have claimed, he consistently moved his position on the tarmac to allow the aircraft to take a position on the runway for take-off. This behavior is completely unacceptable.
At this point, it’s not even an issue whether he was carrying water or alcohol. The reprobable behavior is reprehensible, similar to a hostage situation, because the aircraft is physically preventing taxiing.

Hulk Hogan was spotted watching his own funeral after a friend noticed a chilling sign. On Tuesday, friends and family gathered for the funeral of the WWE legend, who died aged 71 at the end of last month.
After receiving therapy, the wrestler, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, had a heart attack at home. He was taken by paramedics to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was later declared dead. Acute myocardial infarction was Bollea’s official cause of death.
His medical records revealed that he had been battling atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia in secret. However, an old friend revealed that he had seen the late wrestler as Hulk’s funeral was coming to an end.

It’s believed that his funeral took place at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, just seven miles south of Hogan’s home in Clearwater. Taking to Instagram, Jackass Bam Margera shared an eerie sign that the late wrestler had made his presence known at the event.
With one hand pointing in the air and a clenched fist in his place, Margera noticed a sign in the clouds that resembled Hulk Hogan’s signature pose. The cloud outside of Hulk Hogan’s funeral at Indian Rocks, Florida was captured by Margera during his upload. Wow! You perceive what I perceive? I don’t know what it means if this isn’t.

Despite the funeral being a private service, several famous faces were spotted amongst the mourners, including Triple H, his wife Stephanie McMahon, singer Kid Rock and comedian Theo Von. Linda Hogan, Hulk’s wife between 1983 and 2009, the mother of their daughter Brooke, was the only member of his family seen going in or out of the service.
In the later years of her father’s life, Brooke, who had a feud with her father, decided to not attend the funeral and instead honored her late father in her own way. Steven Oleksy, a mother-of-two, and the mother-of-two decided to have twins.
Brooke wrote about the morbidity of funerals in a letter to herself and her twins on the beach. He refused to have one. And although I am aware that people grieve in many ways, and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and occasions held to honor him, I had to choose to honor him in the most authentic and private way possible, the way that brought me the closest to him.

“Molly adored the water.” She’ll be a “little fish,” as you’ve called her, in my opinion. We respect your contributions to what made you so special. We bonded because every wave and grain of sand brought us closer to each other. I sincerely wish you peace and love. Daddy, please go to heaven.
A “medical-related call” was responded to by officers and fire crews shortly before 10am on Thursday, July 24 in the Clearwater Police Department. Major Nate Burnside stated that there are “no signs of foul play or suspicious activity” and that he passed away at 11.17 am in the hospital.
Benjamin Sesko has been signed by Manchester United for a sum of £73.7 million (85 million euros) through Red Bull Leipzig.
A guaranteed payment of £66.3 million (76. 5 million euros), with the rest being added on, is included in the agreement.
Before making his final move to Old Trafford, Sesko will now complete the paperwork, including a Friday medical.
The 22-year-old Slovenian international has made 87 starts for German side Leipzig and has also attracted interest from Newcastle.
For a combined fee of around £130 million, United have already signed forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer.
While Marcus Rashford’s entire £325, 000-a-week salary is being covered by his loan move to Barcelona, those payments have been put in place in a favorable manner so that United can continue to spend.
After Chelsea pulled out of a Jadon Sancho deal, United also received £5 million from them.
Additionally, United could raise another £50 million by selling Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, who is attracting interest from Chelsea and has been given a transfer deadline this summer.
Rasmus Hojlund, their main striker from last season, has been offered for sale for £40 million after only 14 Premier League goals in the last two years.
With 39 goals in 87 games, Sesko is currently the top scorer under the age of 23 among players in Europe’s top five leagues. He moved to Germany.
Florian Wirtz, who left Bayer Leverkusen for £100m this summer, is one step ahead of Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and is five clear of him.
Sesko is big, strong, quick, agile, and a strong finisher, and not just because they both played for Salzburg.
champion of Italy. Player of the Year in the Serie A. endorsed by one of football’s most devoted supporters. Currently a nominee for the Ballon d’Or.
Scott McTominay would not want to wake up if the previous year had been his dream.
The 28-year-old Napoli and Scotland midfielder’s place on the 30-man shortlist for the best player in the world was announced 347 days after his last game for Manchester United.
That served as a substitute. Towards Brighton, away. In a 2-1 defeat.
However, McTominay was living the dream in Naples after moving for a bargain £25.7 million fee on August 30, while his boyhood club United struggled to finish in 15th place.
He won the league, finished the season with 12 goals, and McTominay was named Serie A’s MVP (most valuable player).
And it was McTominay’s stunning scissor kick against Cagliari on the final day of the season that helped Napoli win the title, much like something from a script.
A far cry from the Manchester United player who would have arguably been referred to as solid but unspectacular.
Conte transforms McTominay into a “raider.”

At Napoli, McTominay has unmistakably excelled. However, Antonio Conte made the tactical choice that made all of this possible.
He was a “water carrier,” as BBC pundit Pat Nevin put it. He was a defensive midfielder at Manchester United.
Before Steve Clarke began playing him in an attacking midfield position, Scotland even used him at center-back for a while.
And Conte seemed to enjoy it as well if it was good enough for Clarke.
McTominay, the joint league top-scoring midfielder, scored 12 goals in 34 Serie A games for Napoli.
In contrast, he had only managed 19 goals in United’s 178 Premier League games.
The best option when you have a number nine like Romelu Lukaku is to have him raid in the system of Conte, according to journalist Vincenzo Credendino, who spoke to BBC Sport in May.
In terms of duels won in Serie A and midfielders touched the ball in the opposition penalty area, McTominay was near the top.
You can compare McTominay to the dominant midfielders of Conte’s time, Credendino said. Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal each scored nine and ten goals during their first seasons with Juventus, 2011-12 and 2012-13, respectively.

What makes McTominay so successful in Naples?
McTominay, who is a member of Scotland through his father, enjoys life both on and off the field.
He joined Manchester United at the age of five after being born in Lancaster, north-west England.
After making 255 appearances for United, he made the decision to stand on his own two feet.
He recently mentioned living abroad and how it gives you more mental strength.
“My mother and I have always been very close, so I could travel wherever I wanted.”
It’s different because I live 1,500 miles away from my parents, my family, my sister, and my children, so it’s different, but in life you sometimes have to push yourself outside your comfort zone, and I’ve always taken advantage of that.
“If I can go anywhere, establish myself, and do well, why not?” “I would never want to be in my comfort zone. Who can I turn to for help with that?”
Billy Gilmour, his friend and Scotland teammate, is a plus. On the same day as McTominay’s arrival from Brighton, the midfielder joined Napoli.
The way you eat, the way you live, and everything else are completely different in this country, McTominay continued.
“I’m fortunate that Billy Gilmour, one of my close friends, has been fantastic with me. Along the way, we have encouraged each other and engaged in various activities.
Why is McTominay so popular with Napoli fans?
San Ciro
The legends of Napoli are idolized in a way unique to other clubs, most notably Diego Maradona.
McTominay became the face of Conte’s revolution with the success of last season, which marked only Napoli’s fourth Serie A title.
A city center shrine bears his image on it.
San Ciro restaurant in Edinburgh have a Scotland flag bearing with the words ‘Napoli. McTominay. Pizza. In that order.’
The co-owner of the restaurant, Ciro Sartore, and his brother Santo, said: “Napoli fans love when a player commits to the city, and his kissing the Napoli badge shows how important the love and appreciation are to him. Of course, scoring a lot of goals is also beneficial.
He was reportedly known as McFratm (basically McBro), and one tattoo of his on a supporter’s leg went viral.
Before they settled on that one, he was also known as McTerminator, MacGyver, and apribottiglie (the bottle opener), and he claims that it is his favorite.
“Neapolitans are incredible people,” McTominay recently said.
They are so passionate, and people always say “Forza Napoli” and want to talk to you and strike up a conversation. They care because they always inspire you when you pitch.
“Every time we pitch on the pitch, it’s inspiring, and we want to push ourselves to win.”
