Meghan, a writer of shopping, raves about how Ryanair-approved suitcases made sharing luggage so simple, and they also saved on expensive extra fees at the airport.

If you’re heading off on holiday this September or travelling for work, a spacious suitcase is a must-have—especially if you’re sharing luggage. My boyfriend and I recently had to share a checked-in suitcase on our trip to Greece (to avoid paying extra luggage fees), and this set from Kapten & Son came in clutch.

This large suitcase was ideal for effortlessly packing a week’s worth of clothing each thanks to its generous space and numerous organizational features. Plus, the set’s cabin bag perfectly met the luggage requirements for Ryanair and Jet2 so we were able to get through the airport without any additional (hefty) costs.

The larger suitcase has a 77-litre capacity, is 69 (H x 48 (W x 29 (D), and is comparatively light (when empty) at 5 4 kg. The cabin case has a 38-litre capacity, weighs 4.2 kg, and measures 55 (H x 38 (W x 23 (D) cm. There are no last-minute fees because it can easily fit into the cabin bag restrictions on most airlines. This suitcase set is currently 25% off if you want to save as much money as possible.

Ryanair approved Frankie Bridge’s latest collection of luxurious suede cabin bags.

My new suitcases, which come with a luxurious silver hard shell and have an understated yet glamorous look to your airport fit, were genuinely a lifesaver as we traveled to Bristol airport through luggage check-in, security, etc. It’s difficult to choose just one feature because so many amazing features made our travel experience so enjoyable.

As soon as the cases arrived, the aluminum shell promised durability and security as soon as we arrived, knowing that our belongings would be safe and secure while traveling. Additionally, larger and cabin cases come with fully customisable double TSA locks, making it even safer to enter your own 3-digit code in the airport and on board.

Both cases have strong, detachable 360° swivel wheels that are incredibly smooth, allowing for quick and seamless airport travel. In a large airport like Bristol, where you can travel with a packed-to-the-brim suitcase for more than a brief 5-minute period, this was a huge help. Even my boyfriend turned to the wheels for their convenience, even though I personally would not have been able to carry the heavier case once it was packed.

We didn’t have to hear any obnoxious clunking noises while duty-free roaming, because they’re super maneuverable, allowing you to quickly and painlessly weave in and out of crowds and around them without falling off. These cases couldn’t have been simpler companions as we got ready for our trip because they were height-adjustable telescopic handles. A personalisable name tag that adds an extra layer of security to keeping your cases safe is also included with both cases.

I had seven days worth of clothes, shoes, and swimming costumes to pack, so I was concerned that one suitcase wouldn’t be big enough. Both my boyfriend and I are overpackers. But boy, was I mistaken. The check-in case and the cabin bag both have the same features and compartments.

The dividing flap on the other side, which featured two strong clips, kept the divider in place even when the luggage was bulging underneath, and the adjustable straps on one side that help keep your belongings organized and out of the way of the zip. We used ours for our small items like paperwork, medication, or phone calls, which are also conveniently stored in the flap’s two large zip pockets.

The built-in laundry bag was another unique feature in a suitcase that I’ve never seen before. Oh no, this is even designed to prevent your dirty clothes from coming out of your clean outfits. This laundry bag, which is attached to one compartment’s side, extends nearly the entire length of the suitcase in a similar depth. However, because it wasn’t quite big enough for two people to wash their dirty underwear, socks, and bikinis for the entire week, we didn’t use it for anything other than small clothing, which is incredibly useful. However, it would be the ideal size for a single person’s dirty washing for shorter trips.

The joys extend to putting your belongings in perspective as well, as both suitcases come equipped with a large selection of packing cubes and bags, which aids in making the most of our available space while separating his stuff from mine. Due to the different sized cubes, we were able to fit everything in perfectly and fill the suitcases to the brim, which meant we could also easily pack extra shoes, wash bags, and other bulkier items. No more hunching over the case and hoping it will come to an end.

My experience with Kapten & Son Heathrow Aluminium Silver changed the way long-haul travel was handled, making it simple to share a suitcase, and avoiding extra luggage fees or broken items. I can’t wait to use them the next time we travel because they were so handy and kept our belongings safe, secure, and tidy throughout our entire trip.

New Zealand rugby player who called for study of concussions dies at 39

A rugby player from New Zealand who had suffered from numerous concussions and wanted to study his brain passed away at the age of 39, according to the police.

Shane Christie, who played for the Highlanders in Super Rugby and for New Zealand Maori, was found dead early on Wednesday morning when police were called to his Nelson home.

The coroner will receive the death, according to police, and we have no further information or comments to offer.

Christie had a suspicion that he had Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain condition linked to a number of suicides in the National Football League players, in the United States. In 2016, the NFL acknowledged the relationship between CTE and American football.

Only post-mortem can reveal the condition. In an effort to make rugby a safer sport, Christie had stated that he intended to give his brain to scientists so they could study it.

Without brain donations, we won’t be able to determine the duration of this disease. In a recent interview, Christie stated that it is crucial to support research in New Zealand.

Billy Guyton’s friend and teammate, Christie, who passed away from suicide in 2023, became the first rugby player in New Zealand to have CTE diagnosed. The Billy Guyton Foundation, which is aimed at improving our understanding of concussion effects, was founded by Christie.

At a foundation event last year, Christie said, “Bill motivated me to have the courage to speak my mind about what I see.”

Christie claimed to have experienced headaches and memory lapses after a number of concussions while playing for the team and that he had previously had one. CTE is known to alter one’s mood, behavior, and cognitive function.

When you walk, it hurts, and it feels like a bruise in your head. He was quoted as saying, “So when you’re thinking it hurts, when you’re trying to exercise, the pressure hurts, and you’re not as fast as you can’t think as quickly,” he was saying.

Former NFL players have been cited for a number of violent deaths.

According to a study conducted by the Boston University CTE Center in 2023, 345 of the former NFL players’ brains were identified as having CTE.

According to New Zealand Rugby, Christie became passionate about coaching after beginning his professional football career.

New Zealand Rugby said that whenever a player leaves the rugby team, they are deeply affected. “Shane will always be remembered for his enthusiasm for the game. At this extremely challenging time, we are in the thoughts of Shane’s whanau (family), friends, former teammates, and community.

British law firm Rylands Garth reported that more than 1, 000 former rugby players were reportedly filing legal claims against sporting governing bodies in June because of claims they had suffered brain injuries during their careers.

Before the case might go to trial in 2026, it claimed more than 520 former rugby union and rugby league players signed on to the lawsuit.

Claimants are suing World Rugby, the governing bodies of 15-a-side rugby, the English Rugby Football League, and the British Amateur Rugby League Association, the company said, for lost earnings, medical bills, and medical expenses incurred by their injuries.

‘Taylor Swift’s engagement is the worst news for fans – I’m fearing what’s next’

Since I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan since Fearless first came out in 2008, the singer’s music has infused every emotion into my life. But what will happen when she tells Travis Kelce about her engagement?

Taylor Swift would be the first song I recall really listening to and feeling every emotion she conveys. I was 15 years old when I started listening to You Belong With Me like I had a chance to compete with the famous student.

My rollercoaster of teenage emotions led me through unrequited love (Hey Stephen) and thinking I was in love (Fifteen), which I totally wasn’t, but when someone tells you they love you at the age of fifteen, and you know the rest, and I still relate to the heartbreak of not being the one he even looked at.

As the years progressed, Taylor’s ability to effortlessly capture every sensation I was feeling at the time. 2010 and the release of Speak Now, both with highs and lows (I just wanted to point out that I didn’t crash a wedding)!

I’d probably be right that heartache finds me, but I’ve always been a fan of music because it helps me get through the tougher times. The struggles, the breakups, and the times when you believe no one is listening. Music does.

I adored Taylor’s Lover album, including Paper Rings, Daylight, and of course the song’s title, Lover, but none of them spoke to me as strongly as Red and 1989 did.

I was relieved to learn that Taylor had engaged Travis Kelce, but a selfish part of me wondered if I would never experience the same feelings as a teenager when she sang “in love” and learned that she had been in love with him.

Taylor is so desperately hoping (like most people will be) that she can turn the clock back and still have those emotional and fiery (reputation) moments. She has an effortless way of capturing those emotions and relating to her fans. songs that have resonated with so many people over the years.

From the teenage girl who cried in her bedroom over the famous boy’s inability to leave (think Teardrops on My Guitar) to the young woman who realized she had to leave just in time (think I Bet You Think About Me), to the Eras Tour version of me who screamed “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” alongside 90, 000 other people at Wembley Stadium last year… We might never hear new heartbreaking songs that can express exactly how I feel, but I’m sad.

However, I can’t help but be happy that the English teacher and gym instructor finally have a true Swiftie.

Wolves reject £55m Newcastle bid for Strand Larsen

Jorgen Strand Larsen, who scored twice in the win over West Ham on Tuesday, has been turned down by Wolves.

Following a £50m rejection earlier this week, the Magpies had returned with a £55m offer.

With the transfer window closing on Monday and the team’s ability to find a replacement, Wolves do not want to sell the Norway international.

Alexander Isak, a striker from Sweden who hasn’t played for the Magpies in a while trying to make a move to Liverpool, is looking for new firepower.

With a final eight minutes of the game, Wolves defeated West Ham 3-2 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, Strand Larsen came off the bench to score twice. He had only signed for a £23 million loan deal with Celta Vigo this summer.

Even though he wants to keep the forward, boss Vitor Pereira later refused to rule out a sale.

Every player has a price, even [Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo], he said. Football is very important to me, but I understand it. What will occur, we’ll keep you informed.

He stays, of course, if it’s my choice. He plays a very significant role.

Strand Larsen, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season, has remained a professional, and Pereira believes the 25-year-old will not be forced to make a move, is an attractive option there.

He said, “I know a lot of players in my career who have asked me not to play, but he wants to play every time.” He wants to assist the team.
