EastEnders’ Samantha Womack has revealed that she gets stopped in the street and warned about her Emmerdale actor boyfriend, Oliver Farnworth, who plays the role of a serial killer in the ITV soap.

Samantha, 52, is best known for playing the fan-favourite role of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, but was sadly killed off on New Year’s Day in 2017 along with her sister Roxy. They both died in a dramatic swimming pool accident at Ronnie’s wedding to Jack Branning.

Samantha’s partner Oliver is now involved in his own soap scandal as he has committed several murders in the Dales as character John Sugden. The former Ronnie Mitchel actress has since revealed that she has been ‘warned’ about him as she gave an insight into their relationship.

She told The Sun: “I do get warned about him. But Oli is actually so strict about confidentiality. So he comes back every few days, and he won’t tell me what’s happening with anything. He’s like ‘I just can’t let you know,’ and I’ll say ‘come on, I’m not going to tell anybody.’”

Samantha continued: “But I really think this is one of his favourite jobs to date. I visited the set and it’s beautiful. They have rolling hills and cute cottages. It’s very different to EastEnders. And what is funny is he gets a lot of attention when he goes up north, but when we go down south everyone knows me from EastEnders so it changes where we go. ”

The couple, who have been dating since 2019 after co-starring in ‘The Girl On The Train’ on London’s West End stage, now reportedly live happily in Spain.

Samantha recently admitted that it was not her decision to leave EastEnders and that she felt ‘rejected’ by the boss, Sean O’Connor. She told The Mail that she didn’t ‘understand’ what happened and she felt like she was losing ‘a family’ when she left.

The soap star said: “It was really hard for us because it wasn’t in our hands. We didn’t make the decision to go. I don’t really understand what happened, one producer was leaving and another was coming in, I don’t know what went on. “

Adding: “At the time it felt like bereavement, it felt like losing a family member. It was like losing family and losing stability. But the thing that was the most painful – and it really was painful – was that me and Rita loved feeling like we belonged there. ”

Since leaving the soap, Samantha has battled breast cancer after being diagnosed in August 2022.

Her diagnosis came about during a routine check-up, despite her not having any symptoms. She luckily found the disease early and was declared cancer-free in December that same year.

Sophia Hutchins dead: new details emerge on Caitlyn Jenner’s manager’s ATV crash

New details have emerged regarding the devastating death of Caitlyn Jenner’s manager, Sophia Hutchins. Sophia tragically collided with a car while enjoying an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) ride near Caitlyn’s Malibu mansion and subsequently tumbled into a ravine.

The LA Sheriff’s Department reported that the 29-year-old died at around 11. 30am. The crash occurred on Decker Canyon Road, which is a public road about a mile north of Pacific Coast Highway. Authorities were called, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. It has been said that drones were used to help locate Sophia’s body after the ATV collided with another vehicle on the road above.

In new reports from MailOnline, officers claimed Sophia was speeding at the time of the crash.

“It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff,” Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo said to the publication.

“It doesn’t seem like she was following them. I think she just she came up on them and then hit the car. ” The women in the Mazda, which Sophia is said to have tried to swerve around, were uninjured.

The sergeant said: “So it looked like she tried to manoeuvre to go around it, but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there. “

It comes as an insider close to Caitlyn disclosed to RadarOnline. com: “Caitlyn is numb with shock. She is absolutely devastated and can’t believe what’s happened. Sophia was a big part of her life. “

Sophia helped Caitlyn with her professional affairs after her split from Kris Jenner in 2017. Sophia, who featured in Caitlyn’s I Am Cait docuseries, wanted to help shield Caitlyn from exploitation.

In a candid New York Times piece from 2019, she explained: “I saw nobody was managing her, and there were all these people taking massive advantage. And I was saying: ‘Caitlyn, if I don’t step in here and start managing you, you’re going to go broke’. “

She clarified their relationship further by adding: “Caitlyn is a parent to me. I have said that a million times. It is a parental, familial relationship. “

In a previous conversation, Sophia further dispelled rumours regarding their association, declaring unambiguously: “We were never romantically involved. “

In a heartbreaking final post before the fatal accident, Sophia spoke about healing. She shared a snap of an ornament she had fixed, and wrote alongside it: “From a headless cherub, missing one leg, arm, and foot, to a healing cherub. You can officially call me surgeon, Dr. Hutchins…”

Gunboats target cargo vessel in Red Sea; crew abandons ship

A commercial vessel in the Red Sea has come under attack after small boats fired rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons towards the ship.

According to the organisation United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the incident took place 94km (51 nautical miles) southwest of the Yemeni port of Hodeidah.

“The vessel has been engaged by multiple small vessels who have opened fire with small arms and self-propelled grenades. [The] armed security team have returned fire and situation is ongoing,” said UKMTO, which is run by Britain’s Royal Navy.

The UKMTO said the attack resulted in a fire onboard and the vessel began taking on water Sunday night as its crew prepared to abandon ship.

“Authorities are investigating,” it said, adding later the ship was ablaze after being “struck by unknown projectiles”.

“UKMTO has had confirmation from the Company Security Officer that the vessel is taking on water and crew are preparing to abandon ship,” a statement said.

Maritime security sources added that the vessel was identified as the Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier Magic Seas.

British maritime security firm Ambrey said in an advisory that the ship was attacked by four unmanned surface vehicles [USVs].

“Two of the USVs impacted the port side of the vessel, damaging the vessel’s cargo,” Ambrey added.

While no one has claimed responsibility, Ambrey said the attack matched the “established Houthi target profile”.

The Yemen-based armed group the Houthis began targeting vessels in the Red Sea shortly after Israel’s war on Gaza began in October 2023, which the Houthis say is in defence of the Palestinians living in the besieged enclave.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have launched more than 100 attacks targeting commercial vessels, disrupting global shipping and forcing firms to reroute.

Their campaign has expanded to include vessels linked to the United States and the United Kingdom since the two countries initiated military strikes in January 2024.

In May, the Houthis and the US agreed on a ceasefire that would see the end of attacks on US ships. But the Houthis vowed to continue to target Israeli-linked vessels.

A renewed Houthi campaign against shipping could again draw in US and Western forces to the area.

This comes at a sensitive moment in the Middle East as a possible ceasefire in the war on Gaza hangs in the balance, and as Iran weighs whether to restart negotiations over its nuclear programme following US air strikes targeting its most sensitive atomic sites.

Nicole Scherzinger will return to the UK with a one-off performance at the Royal Albert Hall. The American singer and actress, who rose to fame as a member of girl group The Pussycat Dolls, will perform on October 6 at the London venue for the concert titled An Evening With Nicole Scherzinger.

This comes after the 47-year old won an Olivier award for best actress in a musical for her role as Norma in a West End production of Sunset Boulevard.

Former X Factor judge Nicole broke down in tears when accepting the best actress honour for her role on Sunset Boulevard praising her family and fiance Thom Evans for his continued support.

She had detailed her upset and frustration at being treated like a pop flop and “put in a box” for over a decade after the Pussycat Dolls success. The American star now plans to build a movie career and continue stage shows, including creating her own, asserting: “I’d love to do it all.”

The singer was told applying for stage and screen roles was a “a waste of time” for over a decade and branded nothing more than a past it girl band star. She said she feels vindicated to have financially banked and created her own solo show, performing show tunes, at small venues across London and the US.

Nicole admitted: “This has been a very healing process for me. I always felt like I wasn’t living in my full potential and full purpose. I was never happy with myself. It is because I knew I had so much more to give. And this role and this opportunity allowed me to give all of me. It’s changed my life.

“But it has been hard. It has not been an easy road. I am so grateful that I am able to connect to people on a spiritual and soulful level and I could make a difference in these people’s lives. That is exactly what we do it for. So I am thankful. “

She added: “I am living in my dream. This is my childhood dream come true. I feel like I win every night when people tell me the impact of how my performances impact them. This has been 30 years in the making and I’ve been working and fighting for this my whole life.

The setlist will feature hits from both the West End and pop tracks accompanied by a live band to capture the full range of her career across musical theatre and as a popstar.

Days later, the singer will make her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City followed by a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA – which she promised fans would be “nothing short of powerful and magical”.

The singer has had a series of top five hits in the UK singles charts as part of The Pussycat Dolls including Don’t Cha, Stickwitu and Buttons.

Aside from her music and acting career, she is also known as a TV personality including being a judge on The X Factor – where she helped to form the boyband One Direction.

She will soon appear as a judge in the upcoming Netflix series Building The Band, where she is joined by the late One Direction singer Liam Payne and former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland as the trio judge attempts by contestants to create a band.

Scherzinger was among the stars who performed at the Coronation Concert in the grounds of Windsor Castle in 2023.

Tickets for An Evening With Nicole Scherzinger go on sale on July 11 at 10am.

Ozzy Osbourne’s foul-mouthed reaction as Kelly gets engaged at Black Sabbath gig

Kelly Osbourne announced her engagement on social media, but Ozzy Osbourne had a cheeky reaction to the special moment

Ozzy Osbourne couldn’t help but make a cheeky comment as his daughter, Kelly Osbourne, got engaged at the Prince of Darkness’ final-ever gig with Black Sabbath. The 40-year-old star took to her Instagram page to share the heartwarming video of her engagement, which happened in front of her dad and mum, Sharon Osbourne.

The Black Sabbath rocker was seen sitting comfortably on a couch while Sharon perched on an arm. Other friends were seen standing in the same room as Kelly’s partner, Sid Wilson, prepared to get down on one knee to ask her to be his wife.

However, after Sid said: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” Ozzy interrupted.

In May 2022, Kelly revealed she was expecting her first baby with Sid as she shared a picture of herself holding an ultrasound photo.

“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why…

“I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma,” she wrote. “To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic! . “

Kelly’s mum Sharon announced the arrival of the baby during a segment on The Talk in January 2023. “[His name is] Sidney. [They’re] doing so great,” Sharon announced. “She won’t let a picture go out of him.”

The new mum shared a message on social media later that day and said: “I am not ready to share him with the world. It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby.”

Akash, India win second cricket Test against England at Edgbaston

Akash Deep, filling in for star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, took six wickets as India crushed England by 336 runs to level the cricket series 1-1 after they bowled out the hosts for 271 to claim their first Test victory at Edgbaston.

With Bumrah being rested in the second Test, Akash was the unlikely inspiration behind the visitors’ dominant, series-tying win just before tea on the final day of the second Test on Sunday.

Akash claimed the first five-wicket haul of his short Test career, removing four of the top five in England’s batting order and then top-scorer Jamie Smith (88) on the way to claiming figures of 6-99.

Akash finished with the bowling figures of 10-for-187 for the match.

Set a world-record target of 608, England started the final day on 72-3 with a draw its only realistic hope and was all out with about two hours still to play on Sunday as India sealed a first win at Edgbaston in nine attempts.

The third Test begins at Lord’s on Thursday.

India recovered well after a tough defeat at Headingley last week, when England chased down 371 on day five.

Bumrah was left out to preserve his fitness, but Akash was a more-than-able deputy.

At age 28, he is a late bloomer – certainly at Test level, where he has played just eight matches since his debut in February last year – but looks the part already with his nagging line and length. He will likely retain his spot for the third Test.

India captain Shubman Gill was India’s other star in the second Test, making 269 in the first innings and 161 in the second innings in a record-setting performance.
