This Morning star, Emma Kenny, looks overjoyed in adorable snaps after announcing she’d become a mum at 52 today. However, the mum-of-four, who sadly lost her own mum only a couple of weeks ago, admitted “it’s really strange” that her new baby won’t get to meet her grandparents following her dad’s tragic death in 2019.

Taking to Instagram, sharing news of her daughter’s safe arrival today, the psychologist posted a snap of herself cuddling Ella-Grey in hospital, telling fans the baby had “entered the world with a very loud cry”. Emma was inundated with well wishes from her followers, who loved the family photos. However, the This Morning contributor, who is married to Pete, 34, admitted that it was “really strange” to know that the tot and her older sister would never meet their grandparents.

Captioning the post, Emma wrote: “I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as my older boys did before them.

“Ella-Grey has been lying on me all day, she latched on immediately and is as wonderful as I imagined she would be…..but like her sister…..I am blindsided that she is a girl. So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.”

Tragically, Emma’s dad died in 2019 when he took his own life. Admitting she thought she would ‘never be happy again’, she continued: “When my dad took his life in 2019, I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong.

“I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it. I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me.”

Following her emotional post, friends and family rushed to congratulate her on the baby’s arrival as one wrote: “Massive congrats! You are such a massive inspiration :).”

Another added: “Awww congratulations to you both, your girls will be besties! It is hard when the younger ones don’t get to know your parents the same way as older siblings, I feel my youngest missed out on so much too, best wishes to your lovely family.”

Former This Morning star Ruth Langsford also had a sweet message for Emma and her partner, writing: “Congratulations both”.

Meanwhile, Atomic Kitten star, Natasha Hamilton, also shared: “So happy for you Emma – what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all xxx.”

The TV star kept her pregnancy secret until last week – when she shared a post on her Instagram to reveal she was nine months pregnant.

Showing off her bump while filming herself stood in front of a mirror, Emma told her fans: “Last show before I give birth! 9 months pregnant, quite happy to go into labour on stage….so any of you with health care qualifications at my Killer Couples, Liverpool Empire show tonight please be prepared!”

Revealing her plans to return to work in just a few weeks, she continued: “Back on stage in September…..but for now it’s time for baby, 2 year old, filming YouTube and Facebook and going on a road trip to Italy the minute this babies fast track passport arrives! X.”

Any early shocks? Brown-Finnis’ Euro 2025 predictions – opening group games

BBC Sport football expert Rachel Brown-Finnis is predicting the outcome of all 31 games at Euro 2025.

She starts with the opening games in each group, including holders England against France, first-time qualifiers Wales versus the Netherlands and hosts Switzerland against Norway.

Do you agree with her scores? You can make your own predictions below.

Brown-Finnis has also picked her two teams to go through from each group into the knockout stage, and given her reasons why.

Group A

Brown-Finnis’s pre-tournament picks: Norway (winners) and Switzerland (runners-up).

Iceland are the highest-ranked team in Group A but the Fifa rankings are quite slow to reflect current form and I certainly don’t see them as favourites to progress.

Norway have the likes of Caroline Graham Hansen and Ada Hegerberg in their team and they also have to shake a monkey off their back after getting battered 8-0 by England at Euro 2022 and failing to make it out of their group.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

Historically, both of these teams have a strong record of qualifying for the European Championship, although they have found it harder to make progress at recent tournaments.

Neither of them won a game at Euro 2022 – Iceland drew all three of their group games, while Finland lost all of theirs – and this match probably offers both sides their best chance of a victory this time.

My initial thinking was that Finland would edge it but tournament openers are often very cagey, so I am going to go with a draw.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

Norway will want to rectify what went wrong for them at Euro 2022.

They have got Guro Reiten’s goals from midfield as well as Hegerberg and Graham Hansen up front, but they have not been scoring as heavily as you’d expect from a team with that kind of firepower.

I do think their attack will click at this tournament, though, which is why they are my pick to top the group.

Still, taking on the hosts is a tough way to start any tournament, and I can see this game being extremely close.

It will be interesting to see how Switzerland approach this – do they go out to not get beaten because they see this as their hardest game in Group A, or do they want to put down a marker as hosts and show what they can do?

I don’t expect them to be too open, but I do think we will see a winner here… and I am going to go with Norway.

Group B

Brown-Finnis’s pre-tournament picks: Spain (winners) and Portugal (runners-up).

Spain are nailed on to win this group, but after that it gets tricky.

Italy and Portugal are ever-improving, in terms of their domestic leagues as well as their national teams, and Belgium have got a lot of experience in their squad.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

Both of these teams will fancy their chances of getting out of the group, and three points here would be massive for whoever gets them.

I don’t think there is too much between these sides quality-wise, but Belgium’s experience – like striker Tessa Wullaert, for example – might make the difference.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

Portugal are the underdogs here but with the momentum they have from their recent results, they won’t necessarily feel that way.

Instead, they may see this as an opportunity of a major scalp, by getting something out of the world champions.

They will definitely believe they can run Spain close, because they did the same they when they drew with the holders, the United States, at the 2023 World Cup.

I still think Spain will win, though. They will go at this at full tilt because they will want to win their first two games and book their place in the last eight as quickly as possible.

Group C

Brown-Finnis’s pre-tournament picks: Germany (winners) and Sweden (runners-up).

Germany will still be licking their wounds after losing to England in the final of Euro 2022 and they have definitely got a point to prove at this tournament.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

Sweden have already beaten Denmark twice in the Nations League this year, including a 6-1 win in Solna in June, and I am going for the same outcome this time.

I don’t see Sweden as being particularly good at shutting up shop but they are pretty relentless at going forward, and they will outscore Denmark one way or another here.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

This is Poland’s first game at any major finals and it couldn’t be much tougher – Germany are looking very strong and could be in contention to win the entire tournament.

Poland scored first in both games when these sides played each other in qualifying, but Germany fought back on both occasions to win quite comfortably.

I think that going behind twice like that will have annoyed Germany so we might see a reaction here – they will want to be flawless in this group stage, and they won’t want a narrative that involves them having to fall behind before they get going.

Group D

Brown-Finnis’ pre-tournament picks: England (winners) and France (runners-up).

I had to take a sharp intake of breath before I tried to predict who will finish where in Group D.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

The first task for Wales is to try to control the emotions and adrenaline rush that comes with playing your first game at a major tournament.

They can still enjoy themselves, though. I am so excited for Jess Fishlock because she has done so much to showcase Welsh football around the world for many years, and has worked so hard to get here.

It will be a proud moment for her and lot of the other Cymru girls and, as much as they have a lot to learn on this stage, it could be a very quick learning process.

Once they deal with the emotional side of things, they will focus on executing their game plan at the level they need to against a team that has been European champions in the past decade.

Wales are certainly capable of making things difficult for the Netherlands, but the Dutch probably have enough quality to find a way through in the end.

What information do we collect from this quiz?

I keep changing my mind about how this game might work out for England, and I am sure that will continue right up until kick-off.

I feel like the Lionesses will probably need to be a little conservative if they are to start the defence of their title with a win, but I can see them keeping a clean sheet if they get things right at the back.

Even in this week’s friendly win over Jamaica, England showed some vulnerability at set-pieces, so they are going to have to tighten up and be sharper in those situations.

England lost two key defensive players, goalkeeper Mary Earps and centre-back Millie Bright, in the run-up to the tournament and while our backline is still at world-class level without them, replacing them has caused some disruption to our defensive unit.

So, I am sure there will still be a few issues that will need to be ironed out as this tournament progresses, but hopefully that won’t cost England any goals or points here.

The key for England winning this game will be them being tight at the back – maintaining possession, controlling the game and reducing the number of mistakes.

If they can do that and also create some chances for our forward line then our attackers are so ruthless, they will take care of the rest.

Spendolini-Sirieix to miss Worlds with ‘mental blocks’

Great Britain’s Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix says she will not be compete at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, which start this month, because she is struggling with “mental blocks”.

Spendolini-Sirieix, whose father Fred is a TV personality and stars in First Dates, won bronze alongside Lois Toulson in the synchronised 10m platform at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The World Aquatics Championships take place from 11 July to 3 August in Singapore.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be attending the World Championships this year in Singapore,” said Spendolini-Sirieix in a social media post.

“I’ve had a tough battle with mental blocks in diving this season, and I’ve tried to fight through them, but I’ve decided it would be best for me to take a break from the pool.

“I am getting all the help I need from my family, my coach and my support team at Aquatics GB and I am so thankful for their love and support.

“As an athlete, the words ‘rest’ and ‘break’ are foreign, but I know that this period will greatly help me in the long run.

Iran president signs law suspending cooperation with IAEA

In response to Israeli and US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities last month, President Masoud Pezeshkian has signed a law severing cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Iranian state TV reported on Wednesday that “Masoud Pezeshkian promulgated the law … interfering with the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

The announcement comes a week after Iran’s parliament passed a law requiring the IAEA to stop cooperating with Israel, citing Israel’s surprise surprise attack on Iran on June 13 and US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

IAEA inspectors won’t be able to visit nuclear sites without Iran’s Supreme National Security Council’s approval, according to the parliament resolution.

“These reports are known to us. The IAEA is awaiting Iran’s next official information, the organization stated in a statement.

Iranian officials have harshly criticized IAEA chief Rafael Grossi for rejecting Israeli and US strikes during the conflict, according to Iran’s foreign minister earlier this week.

Grossi has also received criticism from officials for a board resolution the IAEA passed on June 12 that accused Tehran of breaking its nuclear obligations.

According to Iranian officials, the resolution was one of the “excuses” for the 12 day-long Israeli attacks that started on June 13.

Grossi, the head of the IAEA, requested a visit to nuclear facilities that were bombed during the war, but Iran has also refrained.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on X on Monday that Gorsi’s insistence on visiting the bombed sites under the pretext of safeguards was meaningless and possibly even malign in intent. Iran “reserves the right to pursue any defenses of its interests, its people, and its sovereignty.”

Pezeshkian earlier this week decried Grossi’s “destructive” behavior, while France, Germany, and the United Kingdom all decried unspecified “threats” directed at the IAEA chief.

The ultra-conservative Kayhan newspaper in Iran recently argued that Grossi should be executed based on documents that revealed the spy’s identity to be an Israeli spy.

Grossi or the agency’s inspectors have been kept safe, according to Iran.

Israel’s surprise attack on Iranian nuclear facilities and military installations assassinated several senior military figures and scientists, starting the 12-day conflict. Israel was hit by a number of missile- and drone-firing waves by Tehran.

On June 22, Israel’s ally, the US, launched unprecedented strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz. On June 24, Iran and Israel reached a truce.

According to judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir, citing the most recent forensic evidence, at least 935 people have died as a result of Israeli attacks on Iran. 132 women and 38 children were among the deceased, Jahangir added.

According to Israeli authorities, 28 people were killed in retaliatory attacks by Iran.

Iran’s nuclear program was “obliterated,” according to US President Donald Trump, despite the extent of the damage’s nature.

Araghchi acknowledged that nuclear sites have suffered “serious” harm.

However, he stated in an interview with the US media outlet CBS Evening News that “one cannot destroy the technology and science through bombings.”

Australia Cancels Kanye West’s Visa Over ‘Heil Hitler’ Song

Kanye West’s visa was suspended by Australia because of his song, which glorifies Nazis and was released on Wednesday, the government announced.

The 48-year-old musician, who legally changed his name to Ye, released “Heil Hitler” on May 8 to mark the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s victory in World War II.

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke claimed that West, whose wife Bianca Censori is Australian, has been visiting Australia for some time because of his country’s family.

He has made numerous offensive remarks. However, my officials reexamined it after he released the song “Helen Heil Hitler,” and he no longer has an Australian visa.

Burke claimed that performing artists were not permitted to hold concerts because of the rapper’s cancelled visa.

The officials still looked at the law and said, “We don’t need that in Australia,” he told ABC, a public broadcaster.

When asked if it was possible to outlaw a popular figure like this, the minister responded, “I think what’s not sustainable is to import hatred.”

He claimed that immigration officials periodically review each visa application.

Importing bigotry

According to Burke, Australian citizens are free to speak.

“But we already have enough issues in this country,” he said.

When it was revealed that Kanye West would be playing a concert there in July, the song “Heil Hitler” sparked public outcry last week in Slovakia.

More than 3, 000 people criticized West’s performance in the Slovak capital in a petition.

The rapper, who has a strong support for US President Donald Trump, “repeatedly and openly adheres to symbols and ideology connected to the darkest period of modern global history,” according to the petition’s authors.

The petition read, “Kanye West’s concert in our city and our country is an insult to historical memory, glorification of wartime violence, and debasement of all Nazi regime victims.”

Difficult Black men chant the song’s title in the “Heil Hitler” clip as West raps about being misunderstood and about his custody battle with ex-wife Kim Kardashian while standing in a block formation and wearing animal pelts and masks.

The Nazi dictator’s speech is the song’s concluding line.

Sean Combs, a rapper and music mogul, has also been tried in New York for allegedly sex trafficking and racketeering, which West has publicly supported. The jury is currently deciding its verdict in that case.
