Amanda Holden says her husband Chris Hughes compares her to a TV character as she made a “naked” confession. The 54-year-old television presenter admits she regularly likes to walk around the house in the nude.

It recently left Amanda red-faced when she realised a camera installed at her home had been filming her. She had the camera installed on a drainpipe by her electrician, believing it would be made operational after a few days.

However, Amanda says that when the tradesman returned, he told her he had to check the footage to make sure it was at the right angle. She joked that electrician Andy would have to “delete the footage”.

Now, in a conversation with The Times, Amanda revealed she likes to go around “naked all day”. Although she admits she does wear pyjamas to bed.

She continued, “My husband calls me Elmo, the Sesame Street character.” I wear pyjamas to bed all day and am completely naked all day. “

When asked if she sleeps clothed, she replied: “Yes. It’s weird. I like pyjamas buttoned up to the neck. I’m Wee Willie Winkie, even on summer holidays. I just feel snug.”

Elmo from the television show Sesame Street is reputed to go to bed in pyjamas. The red monster is rarely seen wearing clothing, though that’s usually the case.

Amanda has recently discussed her love of being naked around her own home on her Heart Radio show with Jamie Theakston. On a recent show, a listener wrote in to say they had received a message from their child’s school saying there had been an “incident” as they completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The listener made it clear that the young people had followed a nudist beach as a foodpath. The listener responded that “everything was okay,” but the school’s teachers simply wanted to let them know.

You are aware that those kids intentionally did that, Jimi, 54, joked. I adore the fact that the children have had a fantastic time and that the teachers are concerned about their mental well-being. ”

Amanda, who was shocked, responded, “Mental health watching a bunch of nudey wrinklers on the beach” You know I’m usually naked in my house, so no disrespect, I know. barbecues and lawnmowing done in a secret…

We won’t get 16 seconds of this, jamie said. Which made Amanda laugh.

Amanda had previously described the incident as being “potentially terrible” when discussing it with her home camera. Amanda responded, “yes,” when Jamie inquired if the situation was “career-threatening.”

She recalled the conversation she had had with her electrician Andy: “I get him round the other day because I need something else putting up, and he says, “I’ll have a look at what we’re doing, make sure the angle is alright on that camera,” and he replied, “It’s been going for the last couple of days.”

I pleaded with you to forgive me. ! He responded, “Oh no, I’ve downloaded the app,” and he added, “I just need to check the angle.” “

The judge Amanda from Britain’s Got Talent, Jamie, and Amanda turned to her and said, “Can you imagine what I’ve got up to in my garden in a few days?” “

Amanda confessed to husband Chris Hughes that she had mowed the lawn naked and that she had questioned what she could have done in her garden as Jamie speculated. In my back garden, she continued, “I’m always naked.

I was actually naked, and as a joke, my husband waved at me from the bedroom window as I was sorting out something in the garden, and I flashed my boobs at him because I thought it was funny, so I flashed my boobs. “

Amanda explained that because the camera merged with her drainpipe, she had forgotten it was there. She explained that she needed the entire footage deleted because Andy will be reviewing it right now.

The electrician was then informed that all recordings would be saved as a digital file once the camera was remotely viewed on Amanda’s explaination. It does exist, indeed! She continued, “Naked lawnmowing and me flashing my boobs to my husband.”

Jamie playfully proposed that her escapades would make TV gold, which she playfully embraced. “I’d go [to] Netflix, Netflix can have it,” she quipped.

She pleaded in vain with her electrician to turn on the lights and said, “If Andy is listening, go round to my home! Remove the footage from Monday and Tuesday.

We seem to prefer to sleep right now, don’t we? admitted Sue jokingly. Noel reaffirmed, “Yah.” That’s a great story, paddy remarked.

The kids eagerly loaded bowls and plates into the kitchen while the kids ran around.

Hallie, 9, collected four items while some younger children helped with dishwashing. Noel made a joke about washing hands instead of washing hands. They retorted, “Washing,” with assurance!

Noel said, “Bonnie’s really going for it,” when fourteen-year-old Tillie stacked three items.

Noel declared, “Looks like Heidie’s our clear winner,” as Heidie, four-year-old, proudly claimed she had collected “seven million” items.

Noel savagely observed the children’s rapid jumping, “That was done really quickly, guys.”

Barrios Draws With Pacquiao To Retain WBC Welterweight Crown

With a fight that was ruled a majority draw on Saturday, Miguel Barrios fought off a battling Manny Pacquiao to retain his WBC world welterweight title.

Barrio, 30, held onto his belt despite being dominated by Filipino icon Pacquiao, 46, for several rounds before making his first appearance in the ring after a four-year break.

One judge gave Barrios the fight 115-113, and the other two cards, 114-114, gave him the victory.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena crowd, who had roared on Pacquiao as he attempted to make a spectacular return to boxing, drew a subdued response from the outcome.

As he used all of his guile and experience to deceive Barrios, it seemed like Pacquiao was about to start a new chapter in his 30-year professional career.

However, Barrios rallied fiercely over the final three rounds, being declared the winner of each of those three cards, to do just enough to keep his title.

Pacquiao later said, “I thought I won the fight. It was a close fight, I mean. My adversary was very tough. But the fight was fantastic.

I was trying to finish the fight, but my opponent was so tough. It was difficult because he used defense and combined punches. ”

In the meantime, Barrio argued that the draw was sufficient for him.

Barrios remarked, “I thought I pulled it out.” But Manny is still in my top hat. He had a lot of experience and accomplishments in this sport, so it was a pleasure to share the ring with him. Nothing but love and respect was left in the ring, leaving us with nothing. ”

Barros acknowledged how incredible Pacquiao’s extraordinary reserves of energy and endurance were.

His strength, strength, and endurance are beyond reproach. His rhythm, timing, and everything else. He fought a lot to figure out, but he was still a very awkward fighter. ”

As tributes from his former coworkers and friends pour in for the iconic one-time managing editor of BBC Radio Lincolnshire, a beloved BBC radio star has tragically passed away.

Charlie Partridge has sadly passed away(Image: BBC)

Colleagues have been paying their respects to Charlie Partridge following the announcement of his passing. The respected media figure had a long-standing career with the BBC, serving as Managing Editor of BBC Radio Lincolnshire from 1999 until his departure in 2020.

Tributes poured in over social media on Saturday, July 19, led by former BBC News Foreign Correspondent and presenter Jonathan Charles. While the cause of death has not been disclosed, Jonathan shared his personal reflections on Twitter : “I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Charlie Partridge. More than 45 years ago, he taught me a lot about broadcasting @BBCNottingham – he was a great guy and we stayed in touch, occasionally swapping messages in the years since. Sometimes discussing @springsteen – My thoughts are with his family.”

He also paid tribute to Charlie’s life and contributions to local radio and public service broadcasting with John Hess, who expressed his sadness and praised Charlie’s achievements.

Sean Dunderdale, a presenter for BBC Radio Lincolnshire, posted a touching message accompanied by a photo of the two together in honor of his late colleague. He wrote, “I’m deeply saddened to have learned of Charlie Partridge’s passing yesterday, as others have posted online.”

Sean also paid tribute to Charlie, saying, “I frequently think about how I remember when I was a teenager, I listened to his breakfast show on Radio Humberside.”

I showed him around Lincs FM and spent years winding up him with bizarre stunts, including parking my Lincs FM car outside the BBC reception doors, and other such tricks.

Before his well-deserved retirement from the BBC, I was proud to serve as his final presenter. His work was reflected in everything he did, particularly his love for local radio. He was always praised for the winning entries even up until earlier this year, and he continued to judge the National Hospital Awards for me.

Sean added: “He was the genius behind Lip Dub Lincoln (check it out on YouTube ) and created Lincolnshire Day and the Lincolnshire flag – neither would have happened without Charlie. Next time you see the flag, think of the great Charlie Partridge. Lincolnshire is poorer for his passing but much richer for the time spent he with us.”

Andy Comfort, a former BBC presenter, wrote on Twitter: “Oh my goodness. How depressing. I had a great time working with Charlie, especially in my role as the NUJ, because he was undoubtedly a champion of BBC Local Radio. Condolences to Jill, her family, and friends. RIP Charlie.

University Of Maiduguri Alumni, Students Reject Remaining Institution After Buhari

In order to honor the immediate-past President, President Bola Tinubu and his fellow students at the University of Maiduguri and concerned citizens of Borno State have rejected the institution’s change of name to Muhammadu Buhari University.

In honor of the late former Nigerian leader, President Bola Tinubu announced the renaming of the University after Buhari at an expanded FEC meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The groups’ assertions included that the University of Maiduguri is more than just a name; it is also a potent representation of resilience, academic excellence, and cultural heritage, especially given the insecurity that once plagued the North-East region. &nbsp,

Read more about Tinubu changing the name to Maiduguri University after Buhari.

Due to his ancestral connections and military service history, President Tinubu was advised to rename the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, or the Army University Biu after the late leader.

A public petition urged the general public to sign up to support the protest by the students’ and alumni groups.

Around 9,000 people have so far signed the petition, which has been popular for the past 48 hours.

See below for their petition:

The Problem

Respectfully challenge the University of Maiduguri’s renaming to Muhammadu Buhari University.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is His Excellency.

The Armed Forces’ President and Commander-in-Chief,

Federal Republic of Nigeria

We, the alumni, students, and concerned citizens, write this sincere letter to Your Excellency regarding the recent change of name to Muhammadu Buhari University.

We have a deep respect for the memory and legacy of late President Muhammadu Buhari, a man whose lasting legacy is still indelible. However, we don’t agree with the University of Maiduguri’s new name because it conflicts with the sentiments of its main stakeholders and the institution’s enduring identity.

More than just a name, Maiduguri University. In the wake of the region’s once-failed insecurity, it is a powerful representation of resilience, academic excellence, and cultural heritage. The institution’s strategic significance in Northern Nigeria’s development, peacebuilding, and intellectual advancement is reflected in the name “University of Maiduguri,” which resonates deeply with the people it serves.

This outstanding institution has produced leaders, scholars, diplomats, scientists, and patriots who formally identifie as UNIMAID alumni for more than 40 years. Its name is a source of pride for both the global academic community and Nigeria as well as for all of Africa.

Our Demand:

Please re-examine and change the University of Maiduguri’s name, as requested by Your Excellency. Although we hold President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy in high regard, we think that alternative national monuments, research institutes, or legacy projects that won’t alter a university’s long-standing historical significance can be immortalized.

We respectfully suggest that the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, a relatively new and incredibly symbolic institution that was once President Buhari’s hometown, be considered for renaming. Based on personal legacy, regional pride, and national significance, this would make a better tribute. The Nigerian Army University Biu is another fitting institution that could be renamed in honor of the late former president Muhammadu Buhari, in addition to his background as a retired military general. His military service and his contributions to national leadership are both reflected in this.

The preservation of this name is not a political position; rather, it is a plea for continuity, emotional attachment, and the reliability of a brand that has endured both conflict and time. Without erasing either of the former president’s legacy or UNIMAID’s soul, let us honor both.

We rely on your wisdom, impartiality, and commitment to promoting national harmony and stakeholder engagement.
