King Charles rushes to console teenager as they pass out during visit

King Charles and Queen Camilla carried out a second day of engagements in Scotland today by braving the rain to visit a War Memorial in Kirkcaldy where they were greeted by hundreds of wellwishers

The King consoled a teenage cadet who passed out and needed medical attention on their visit to Scotland. Charles and Queen Camilla clutched their umbrellas as they were greeted by hundreds despite pouring rain today to mark the centenary of the Kirkcaldy War Memorial, in Fife.

They unveiled a commemorative stone Cairn containing school badges caps and USBs with children’s stories acting as a time capsule. The King also laid a wreath at the war memorial and held a minute’s silence. But during the service marking 100 years of Kirkcaldy War Memorial local cadet Robbie McGovern, 13, collapsed and needed medical help.

He was back to full health and as a reward brought to meet the King just before he departed. Charles shook his hand asked: “Did you hit your head? ” Robbie replied ‘no’ but nodded and said “a little bit” when the King asked if he had any ‘buzzing’ in between his ears. Charles replied: “Don’t worry I remember. “

The heavens opened as Charles and Camilla arrived but hundreds lined the path in the memorial garden. Charles unveiled the commemorative Cairn to a round of applause. And Sculptor George Sweeney, 69, said afterwards: “They wanted something special to mark the centenary of the memorial gardens. It took me more than four and half months and it’s made from local sandstone.

“Because of what it represents I feel very proud and an honour and privilege. I hope the King likes it. I hope it gets royal approval. “

Jackson Sergeant, seven, was dressed in a traditional Scottish outfit and waiting with his mum since 5. 30am. He said: “I did get wet but it was worth it to meet the King and Queen. “

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who yesterday was with Prince William at his Homewards event in Sheffield, turned up to speak to Charles about his Multibank initiative that provides essential goods to low-income families.

Meanwhile, as the Princess of Wales talked about the ‘rollercoaster’ of cancer recover, her mother-in-law, Queen Camilla, praised the ‘invaluable’ work of Maggie’s cancer care centres. The Queen, 77, was visiting one of its 24 centres nationwide at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, in her role as Maggie’s President.

Greeting its inspirational founder and chief executive, Dame Laura Lee, with a warm hug, Her Majesty spoke of how “brilliant” the centres were for patients and their families. There is something so special about them”, she said.

Maggie’s Fife was set up in 2006 with the help of £161million Euromillions lottery winner Christine Harkness, who is now an honorary patron. She met the Queen today, who thanked her profusely for her support.

Diddy’s young daughters seen leaving court as rapper avoids life behind bars

Sean P. Diddy Combs’ twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie Combs, have been present for much of their dad’s sex trafficking trial, but were reportedly taken out of the courtroom during parts of the testimony

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ children were in attendance at the courthouse when he received his verdict in the sex trafficking case. D’Lila and Jessie Combs, the youngest of Diddy’s children to attend the trial, were often spotted in the courtroom but sometimes found the testimony too distressing to sit through.

They were escorted out during particularly explicit segments, which is understandable given they’ve only just finished high school and celebrated their prom amidst the legal drama.

On Wednesday, Diddy was cleared of the most serious accusations levelled against him, including sex trafficking and racketeering, sparing him a potential life sentence – a relief that saw him drop to his knees in court.

Nevertheless, he was convicted on two lesser counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution purposes. Throughout the proceedings, the twins were seen donning coordinated outfits.

On Monday, June 30, they arrived at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse wearing identical black trouser suits, accompanied by their sister, Chance.

By Wednesday, July 2, they had chosen more subdued attire, with one in an all-black ensemble and the other in a navy blue jumpsuit. The siblings were holding hands as they walked into the courtroom to hear their father’s fate.

Diddy’s family broke their silence on Wednesday as he was cleared of the most serious charges. When asked how his dad was, Diddy’s son, Christian responded: “Great,” while his daughters added: “Good, happy. “

Diddy faced a total of five charges spread over three federal indictments, encompassing sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.

He entered a plea of not guilty to all charges levelled against him. Furthermore, he strongly refutes any allegations of misconduct, including those brought forward in civil lawsuits. He has now been acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges but has been found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution.

The allegations against him were thrust into the public eye in November 2023 when his former partner, Cassie Ventura, lodged a civil complaint against him.

Despite the former couple resolving the issue out of court, with Diddy not conceding any wrongdoing, her action sparked a flurry of additional lawsuits from across the nation, accusing him of comparable offences which then sparked a police investigation.

During the two-month trial, the court heard how Diddy flew people around the country, including his girlfriends and paid male sex workers, to engage in sexual encounters, a felony violation of the federal Mann Act.

However, he was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, relating to allegations that he forced his former girlfriends into drug-fuelled sex encounters, which had been known as ‘freak offs.’

Rangers sign ‘huge asset’ Rothwell from Bournemouth

Midfielder Joe Rothwell has joined Rangers from Bournemouth on a three-year contract.

The Manchester-born 30-year-old was on loan to Leeds United from the Cherries last season, making 39 appearances, 27 of them starts, as they won the Championship and promotion.

It was a repeat of his feat the previous season under Rangers head coach Russell Martin on loan to Southampton.

“Excited” by the signing, Martin told Rangers’ website: “He is a player who we thoroughly enjoyed working with during my time at Southampton.

A “delighted” Rothwell says there were two main factors that persuaded him to end his three-year spell with his Premier League parent club.

“It is brilliant,” he said. “The size of the club speaks for itself and, as soon as the interest was there, it was an immediate yes from me.

“With Russell coming in too, it made that decision a little bit easier because working with him in the past and I know what type of guy he is and how he wants to do things. That was an even bigger pull for me. “

Rothwell came through Manchester United’s youth ranks and, after loan spells with Blackpool and Barnsley, joined Oxford United.

He moved on to Blackburn Rovers and then, in 2022, to Bournemouth and has made 351 club appearances overall in his career, scoring 24 goals.

Rothwell follows right-back Max Aarons to Ibrox from Bournemouth, the 25-year-old having joined on a season-long loan, while 22-year-old fellow midfielder Lyall Cameron was a free agent arrival from Dundee.

‘I swear by this soothing hair mask to restore my dry locks after a day in the sun’

Mirror’s shopping writer Grace deals with dry and brittle hair, especially after sun exposure, but swears by this nourishing mask to revive her locks

In sunny weather, we usually think about how the sun will effect our face and skin, and take the neccesary precautions to prevent any damage or burns. But we can often forget the effect the sun will have on our hair. Exposure to UV rays can often lead to dry and brittle locks.

Of course, there are products we can use to prevent this, such as Goldwell’s Dualsenses Sun Reflects UV Protect Spray, currently £12.75, and REHAB.’s Sunshine Spritz UV Protection Hair Oil, currently £20.80 here.

However, if like me, this is something you usually forget about, then it’s worth investing in a hair mask that works for your hair type to try and reverse some of the damage, and I think I’ve found just the one.

Maria Nila’s Head & Hair Heal Masque, now £23.80 at Sephora, is my current go-to hair saviour, and after the heatwave week we’ve just had, it’s been a true lifesaver.

This nourishing mask has not been specifically designed to restore hair from sun damage, instead a growth stimulating and dandruff preventing hair mask. However, it’s the only hair mask I’ve found to work for my frizzy, dry and wavy hair after a day laying out in the sun. Previous masks I’ve tried have been too heavy, either weighing my hair down or leaving a greasy residue. That’s not the case with this Maria Nila one, which nourishes and softens my brittle strands, restoring them back to their (almost) full health.

Packed full of soothing ingredients like Piroctone Olamine and natural Aloe Vera extract, this mask helps to treat dandruff and scalp problems, while also stimulating hair growth and preventing hair loss. So it’s really a win-win for my hair.

So far I have not noticed any new hair growth, instead I can see an improvement in my scalp health and smoother strands. However, I’ve only been using it for the past month so there’s a chance if I continue with it, I will see more growth.

To use, simply apply to freshly washed, wet hair for three to five minutes, wash off and then condition as usual. The result? Hydrated, silky smooth and soft locks.

Katie Price’s worrying plastic surgery U-turn as terrified friends beg her to stop

Former glamour model Katie Price has undergone another procedure to enhance her derrière despite making a bold vow just a few months ago

Katie Price has sparked concern after making a major U-turn on a plastic surgery decision.

The former glamour model, 47, recently showed off her extremely slim figure and fuller bottom during a sun-soaked getaway to Dubai, where she donned a tiny bikini while on a lavish yacht.

Katie, who suffered complications with an earlier Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) operation, vowed earlier this year to not have another. But she’s since gone back on her word, opting for more filler to amplify her posterior this summer.

Before her latest treatment, she had already had two BBL operations, despite the procedure being classed as the most “dangerous” by many surgeons. The BBL procedure involves fat transfer, extracted via liposuction to the buttocks to create a more voluptuous, shapely rear.

Katie has previously opened up about the challenges she faced with a BBL procedure while on the podcast, Katherine Ryan: Telling Everybody Everything. She revealed: “I tried that BBL abroad where they take your own fat and put it in your bum. It was so painful. And it just did not look right on me. “

She went on to share her preference for overseas cosmetic procedures: “I would never have surgery in England again. Ever, ever. I’d always have it abroad. “

And in February this year, Katie even also insisted she wouldn’t be getting another BBL and instead had an aim to hit the gym to plump it up naturally.

Speaking on her own The Katie Price Podcast, she told listeners: “I’m starting the gym next week. I’ve decided I’m not going to have filler or implants, I’m going to work my a*** off at the gym. I’ll take before and after pictures, though it’ll probably take a year to get my bum where I want it. “

Despite warnings from medical professionals and concerns from loved ones about the high-risk surgery, Katie has since gone ahead with what was to be her most perilous operation to date.

Taking to Instagram recently with a video, the TV personality said: “So the bum is done! Here’s a little sneaky, beaky, boopky,” offering her followers a peek at her latest cosmetic enhancement.

Dr Gerard Lambe, a leading UK plastic surgeon and head of Reflect Clinic, issued a stark warning in New Magazine. “Katie needs to be aware that she is putting her health and body under extreme pressure with the now countless number of procedures she’s had done in the last year alone,” he said.

“BBL is one of the most dangerous surgeries anyone can undergo and it has the highest mortality rate – it’s one of Katie’s riskiest surgeries yet. She is dicing with death. “

Her loved ones had also expressed concern. A source previously told OK! Magazine: “Her friends and family are worried because she has lost a lot of weight very quickly, and she still wants more procedures. She’s considering ear correction surgery and more bum filler, but those close to her fear she’s not healthy or strong enough to undergo more operations. “

In addition to two previous BBLs, Katie has undergone 16 breast enhancements and countless other cosmetic procedures throughout her career. The cost of these procedures can soon add up, but earlier this year, Katie revealed that she can get them for free.

While appearing on the Disruptors podcast, Katie confessed: “I don’t pay for my surgery. I get it free for an Instagram post. ” Podcast host Rob Moore asked: “So if you share who did the operation, you get it for free? “, to which Katie replied: “Yeah. I have an open book where I can flick through and have any surgery I want from most clinics. “

Major update in desperate search for victim’s head after TV star charged with murder

Tamika Chesser was once a reality TV star – now she stands accused of committing a horrific murder. We take a look at the latest development in the hunt for her alleged victim

Chesser was said to be “unresponsive and catatonic” when arrested(Image: @tamikachesser/Instagram)

Former reality star Tamika Chesser is accused of murdering and decapitating her partner in a grisly case that has shocked Australia. The 34-year-old, who appeared in series two of Beauty and the Geek back in 2010, is accused of killing Julian Story on or around June 17.

On June 19, neighbours of Story’s called the emergency services after spotting smoke coming from the apartment the couple shared in the South Australian fishing port of Port Lincoln. Julian, 38, was subsequently found dismembered and missing his head on the bathroom floor of the unit.

According to ABC, police documents said officers had discovered “deceased remains which were severely burnt and disfigured” at the property. “The accused was seated in a garden chair in the rear yard adjacent to unit 3 in an unresponsive and catatonic state at this time,” the official report added.

Chesser was arrested and charged with murder. The former TV star was taken to Port Lincoln hospital, before being admitted to forensic mental health care facility James Nash House.

The murder suspect is alleged to have used a bag to transport Julian’s head to an unknown location and police officers and disaster volunteer organisation SES went onto scour cliffs, parks and bushland in the town, as well as the ocean around the pier and bay area. But in a major update, the multi-agency search has been called off.

South Australian police said in a statement: “Intensive searching using these resources has been paused for now but may resume at a later stage. Investigators are now in the process of reviewing a significant amount of CCTV footage to determine any other areas for searching and may return to Port Lincoln. Police wish to reassure the public that the accused remains in custody charged with murder, and that this was not a random incident. “

CCTV images show Chesser walking three dogs and carrying a bag while wearing a Hijab-style head covering. Detectives are keen to pin down more of her movements in the week of the murder, particularly between midnight on June 17 and and 3.30pm on June 19, with locals asked to review any CCTV or dashcam footage.

“We know that Tamika did not drive a vehicle and regularly walked around the township of Port Lincoln,” said Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke. “We are appealing to anyone who can help us to identify Tamika’s movements to please contact police. We are releasing the details of this horrific crime because it is vital for Julian’s family to peacefully lay him to rest. “

Chesser appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court last Friday, with a date set for her to return in December. As he appealed for information, Det Supt Fielke said Julian’s family were keen to lay their loved one to rest.
