Noel Gallagher spotted in Oasis crowd just minutes before Principality Stadium performance

Noel Gallagher was spotted enjoying the build-up to the epic Oasis reunion at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The guitarist was seen taking in Richard Ashcroft’s performance as he warmed up the crowd for the big comeback event.

Ashcroft was scheduled to take to the stage at 7pm, with Oasis following behind at 8. 15pm. However, it looks like Noel wasn’t in a rush to get ready for his set as he went to enjoy the warmup act beforehand.

Cast first played at 6pm as the first of two support acts. Oasis announced last year that they would be making a comeback and tonight marks the first date of their reunion tour.

The band announced the tour last year, much to the delight of fans. They shared a video to promote the comeback when Liam was heard saying: “When we both come together, you have greatness. “

Noel then says: “I know my brother better than anybody else. This is it, this is happening. ” It has been rumoured that the band will play 24 of their most iconic songs including Don’t Look Back in Anger, Live Forever, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.

However, a confirmed setlist is yet to be released. This show marks the first of 17 nights across the UK, with fans set to flock to London, Manchester and Edinburgh too.

Oasis will also play in Dublin before the band takes the show on the road to North America, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Chile and Argentina.

Some fans started to camp outside the Welsh stadium 24 hours before the gig even began. However, their dedication paid off as those who were there found themselves being given an upgrade.

Those who camped out did so to be in with a chance of getting to the front of the standing area when gates opened. But, so they didn’t need to do this, they were then given wristbands to access the front pit in the standing crowd.

ITV Lorraine correspondent Nick Dixon revealed that some ticket holders had been waiting outside the Principality Stadium since yesterday in the hopes of getting to the front of the stage.

He explained: “Some of the more passionate fans with tickets have been queuing up at different sections of the stadium since yesterday because they want to get in there as soon as the doors open at 5pm and rush to the stage. “

Nick added: “It turns out that the band and the band’s management had noticed the fact that they were there because all of a sudden, on the other side of the stadium, security rounded up the fans and moved them. “

He then finished the segment by explaining they had been upgraded which left the superfans “deliriously happy”.

India says ready to make deal with US but national interest to be ‘supreme’

India is ready to make trade deals in the national interest, but not just to meet deadlines, Piyush Goyal, minister of trade and industry, has said.

When asked if a deal could be reached by the July 9 deadline set by United States President Donald Trump for all countries to negotiate trade agreements, Goyal said on Friday that “National interest will always be supreme. Keeping that in mind, if a good deal can be made, then India is always ready to make a deal with developed countries. ”

“India never does any trade deal on the basis of deadline or timeframe … we will accept it only when it is completely finalised and in the national interest,” Goyal told reporters.

On April 2, Trump threatened a range of tariffs for all US imports. For India, that was set at 26 percent. On April 9, he paused those tariffs for 90 days and set in place a rate of 10 percent in the interim while countries worked out their respective trade deals with Washington, DC. That deadline is set to expire July 9.

“Free trade agreements are possible only when there is two-way benefit; it should be a win-win agreement,” Goyal said.

Indian officials returned from Washington this week after an extended visit to iron out lingering concerns on both sides. Trade talks between India and the US have hit roadblocks over disagreements on import duties for car components, steel, and farm goods.

India is resisting opening up its agriculture and dairy sectors while asking for a favourable tariff for its goods entering the US compared with the ones available for countries like Vietnam and China.

Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘made it’ message as Black Sabbath prepare for final show

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and a host of megastars are gearing up for a supershow on Saturday

Ozzy Osbourne beamed for the camera as he posed for a powerful snap ahead of the Black Sabbath concert at Villa Park on July 5. In a collaboration post between Aston Villa Football Club and Ozzy, the Prince of Darkness posed with a host of rock and metal stars ahead of the superconcert.

The musician, Bill Ward, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will be joined by the world’s best heavy metal bands for the July 5 show before Ozzy retires from performing. The caption of the Instagram post read: “‘It’s taken us 57 years to get to the Villa, we made it. Back to the Beginning’ – Ozzy Osbourne.”

Black Sabbath performed a farewell tour from 2016 to 2017, with all the founding members minus Bill going on tour. Last year, Ozzy took to his The Madhouse Chronicles podcast to admit the band’s career felt “unfinished” as they didn’t tour with Bill.

He wanted a proper original lineup reunion, with all the band members sharing their interest in the idea. The huge comeback was finally revealed in the Back To The Beginning’s announcement earlier this year.

Ozzy first retired from live singing in 2023 because of his numerous surgeries and his Parkinson’s Disease.

“As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine,” he said on social media. “My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage.

“My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently, groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak. ”

Along with Black Sabbath, the Back To The Beginning supershow will include sets from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Gojira, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Halestorm, Mastodon and Rival Sons.

An all-star super-group will be playing, with The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Megadeth’s David Ellefson, and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst taking to the stage.

The event will be hosted and compered by Game Of Thrones icon Jason Momoa. Sharon Osbourne recently said of the show: “Then you’re going to see one icon playing with another icon, doing a Sabbath song and one or two of their own songs, and people playing with each other that you never you’d see.

“Tom Morello is going to play with the drummer from Tool and they’re going to have Billy Corgan with them. Then you’ll see Slash and Duff and whoever they choose to play with.

“David Draiman is going to come up and sing, Jonathan from Korn is going to be here and he could be playing with Chad Smith or whoever! ”

Chelsea Club World Cup tickets available for £8

Getty Images

Tickets for Chelsea’s Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras are on sale for just £8. 17 ($11. 15) amid concerns over another low attendance at the newly-expanded tournament in the United States.

They are among the cheapest tickets at the Club World Cup to date, although some have gone for as low as £3. 60 ($5) for matches involving minnows in the group stage.

Sources have explained that Fifa expected a lower attendance because of a free Fourth of July parade and concert, taking place at the same time in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was drafted in 1776.

Chelsea matches have not been well-attended outside of the group-stage game in Philadelphia against Flamengo that saw 54,019 inside Lincoln Financial Field.

Matches against Los Angeles FC, ES Tunis and Benfica had crowds of 22,137, 32,967 and 25,929, respectively – leaving stadiums more than half-empty in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Charlotte.

A mixture of reasons have been cited for low attendances, including extreme heat and thunderstorms, a potential lack of interest, kick-off times when the majority of US-based fans are working, poor marketing locally and initial high prices of more than $200 set by Fifa when announcing the matches in December.

Tickets for Real Madrid’s quarter-final with Borussia Dortmund in New Jersey on Saturday start at $183. 40 (£134. 37), while the most affordable for Paris St-Germain versus Bayern Munich in Atlanta are currently listed at $83. 65 (£61. 29).

However, after both Manchester City and Inter Milan suffered upsets in the round of 16, the Al Hilal against Fluminense tie in Orlando has tickets from $11. 15 (£8. 17).
