Russia ‘will not back down’ on Ukraine war goals, Putin tells Trump

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has assured Donald Trump that Moscow will continue to work toward eradicating the “root causes” of the Ukrainian conflict.

Russian President Yuri Ushakov said to reporters, “Russia will not back down,” despite the fact that Putin had also indicated in his one-hour phone call with Trump that he was “ready to seek a political and negotiated solution to the conflict.”

The Kremlin’s claim that it was forced to invade Ukraine in full-fledged form in 2022 to stop it from joining NATO and being used by the West as a launchpad to attack Russia is shorthand, supported in part by Trump, is known as “root causes,” but rejected by Kyiv and its allies.

The Pentagon reaffirmed that some deliveries of weapons to Kyiv, including precision-guided artillery and air defense missiles, would be stopped, prompting them to make the sixth phone call since Trump began his second term in January. Under President Joe Biden’s leadership, they were promised. Russia’s increased attacks on Ukraine have prompted the announcement.

According to the Kremlin aide, Trump and Putin did not discuss the halted weapons deliveries, saying that the US president had raised the issue of putting an end to the war quickly.

The two leaders agreed to continue speaking even though it was not discussed.

Trump has attempted to mediate the conflict in Ukraine, but he hasn’t made much progress. There was nothing in the Kremlin readout that suggested any change in Putin’s position, despite the fact that he has so far rejected Washington’s request for an unconditional ceasefire. The proposal was approved by Ukraine.

Ushakov argued that any peace negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv needed to take place even though Russia was ready to talk to the US.

In response to some indications that Moscow is attempting to avoid holding any peace negotiations in a trilateral format, he made the comment. Russian negotiators allegedly demanded US diplomats leave the room during an early-June meeting in Istanbul, according to Ukrainian officials.

The last time Putin and Trump spoke on were in mid-June, when Putin offered to serve as the media for the recent 12-day Iran-Israel conflict. Trump responded to Putin’s request by shifting Ukraine’s attention, saying, “No, I don’t need assistance with Iran.” I need assistance with you.

According to Ushakov, Putin stressed the need to resolve all “dissartions, and conflict situations” involving Iran during Thursday’s call.

Last month, the US launched a three-site bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, which Moscow deemed to be unprovoked and illegal.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, met with leaders of the European Union in Denmark earlier on Thursday, stressing the need to “strengthen our cooperation and coordination through the EU, NATO, and also in our direct relations.”

Trump has in essence resisted Ukraine’s attempts to join NATO militarily.

Last month the Oasis deal with Adidas was announced with huge fanfare including a two minute TV advert on Channel 4 and YouTube.

Noel and Liam Gallagher posed up together for the first time since the Oasis global tour was announced. The brothers were pictured as part of an Adidas promotional campaign, which launched in an advert on Channel 4.

Liam and Noel have only been photographed together once in the last two decades in August last year, when they confirmed the reunion tour with a black and white shot which made headlines around the world.

At the start of the Knebworth concerts, giant Adidas footballs were filmed. A tambourine once struck ice, and Liam could be heard saying, “At some point, a tambourine struck ice.”

You are aware of my words, “There are times when you are in the zone.” You simply remain completely silent as a result of the chaos that surrounds you. Simply put, this feeling is the best in the world, without the need to participate in it. Simply remain completely still.

Then, as the final scene of the commercial showed them reunited and posing together, Liam and Noel could be seen preparing to play a concert on stage.

On Friday night during the Oasis tour, the stadium Merchandise stand will remain open until 11 p.m.

Jessica Simpson looked out of this world as she slipped back into denim shorts two decades after Dukes of Hazzard. The 2005 action comedy movie is loosely based on the 80s series of the same name, with the likes of Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Willie Nelson and Jessica in starring roles.

In the movie, Jessica rocked daisy dukes and red heels. She recently took to her Instagram page to recreate her iconic 00s look. Jessica posed in light blue daisy dukes and a low-cut cheetah print halter neck top. She added a chunky belt, matching bracelets and layered a few statement necklaces.

Red and denim-colored shoes are this summer’s go-tos, according to the caption of the post. Fans hurried to her comment section to compare her appearance to that in Dukes of Hazzard.

One user wrote, “You’re absolutely beautiful hun,” and another wrote, “You’re so beautiful and gorgeous especially in the Dukes of Hazard movie.”

One follower wrote, “One of my all-time favorite movies.” Prior to this, Jessica revealed that she has a “ridiculous number” of shorts in her closet, including those from The Dukes of Hazzard.

In Dukes of Hazzard, Jessica starred in 2005.

She claimed that Diana Ross’ clothing was more glamorous than her outfits. Ashlee’s mother-in-law is Diana’s sister. She said, “Here is full of sequins that make you salivate, and mine is full of Daisy Dukes and Juicy suits.”

Jessica and her husband Eric Johnson split up earlier this year.

The singer and the former NFL player tied the knot on July 5, 2014 after beginning their relationship in January 2010. Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie, their five-year-old children, are their parents.

According to an insider at the time, Jessica had to call it quits on her relationship because the pop star had been sober since October 2017 and that protecting her sobriety was one of the main goals.

A source shared that while Jessica had “grown” since marrying Eric, her husband hadn’t developed alongside her. “Eric likes to take the credit for Jessica getting sober and turning her life around, and while he was supportive of her and her journey, she did this herself. He didn’t babysit her,” they claimed.

Jessica and Eric had been “extremely absent” for a few years, and with the “spark gone,” it no longer made sense to stay together for the kids, according to the insider.

The couple tried a number of methods, including counseling, spiritual healing, and tantric exercises, according to the insider, but “it didn’t work.” Concerns for Jessica’s own health rose in addition to the relationship’s worries.

Death of Liverpool forward Jota leaves football world in shock

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

The football world is shocked by the death of Liverpool and Portugal’s Diogo Jota at the age of 28 in a car accident.

Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, both died in the Zamora province of Spain after their Lamborghini crashed.

The 28-year-old Jota had minor surgery and was being flown back to Liverpool for pre-season training, so doctors advised him against flying, so he had to make the trip by car and ferry instead.

Just 11 days before the fatal crash, Jota wed his long-term partner Rute Cardoso, who he had three children with.

Fans gathered outside Anfield to pay tribute to Jota, who Liverpool described as a “tragedy that transcends” the club.

Jota was “the essence of what a Liverpool player should be,” according to Reds manager Arne Slot.

What transpired?

After their car left the road due to a tyre blowout that occurred while overtaking another vehicle, Jota and Silva, both 25, were killed. Silva is also a professional footballer for Portuguese second-tier club Penafiel.

Both men passed away on Thursday at around 00:30 local time, according to The Guardia Civil.

Jota was supposed to be taking a ferry from Santander to Liverpool by car, but he was also supposed to be returning by boat.

In the south of England, Santander and Plymouth and Portsmouth are both connected by ferry.

Porto and Zamora, which are close to the Portuguese border, are both about 190 miles away.

Liverpool led the tributes to Jota, blaming the “unimaginable loss” the club had suffered from.

In 182 games for Liverpool, he scored 65 goals, helping them to win the FA Cup, League Cup, and title last year.

Later on Thursday, the club released additional statements, with manager Slot paying tribute to a player who had “becomed to be a loved one to everyone at the club.”

Someone who, in addition to being with others, made other people feel good about themselves. a person who gave his family a lot of love.

Slot said he last spoke with Jota to congratulate him on his victory in the Nations League and wish him luck for his wedding.

It was a dream summer for Diogo and his family in many ways, he continued, adding that it was heartbreaking that it should come to this.

According to Slot, Liverpool and its supporters “are completely in tune with” Jota’s family and “the same can be said of the wider family of football.”

It was a privilege to have played alongside Jota and to have been his friend off the field, according to Reds captain Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutchman continued, “We will miss you beyond words and never forget you.” We will ensure that your legacy endures, as they say.

Jota was “the most British foreign player” he had met, according to left-back Andy Robertson.

The Scotland international stated in a caption on Instagram that his wedding day was his most memorable day of his life. From that magical day, I long for his unflagging smile. How enthralled was he with his family and wife?

The club’s owners, Billy Hogan, John Henry, Tom Werner, and Mike Gordon, said in a statement that they had been “numb with grief” as they condolemented Jota’s family.

Beyond the player, according to them, was a truly humble person who was sincere, intelligent, funny, and tough, and he made friends wherever he went. He had a life-affirming infectious enthusiasm.

This is a tragedy that transcends the Liverpool football club, according to Fenway Sports Group CEO Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes of Liverpool’s sporting director.

Before joining Liverpool in 2020, Jota had previously scored 44 goals in 131 games for Pacos de Ferreira, Atletico Madrid, Porto, and Wolves.

His final appearance was against Spain in the Uefa Nations League final against Portugal. In 49 internationals, he scored 14 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the skipper of Portugal, wrote on social media that it “makes no sense.” You just got married, and we were just now playing for the national team.

Ronaldo, a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, expressed his condolences to Jota’s family, wife, and children, saying, “I know you will always be with them.” Diogo and André, rest in peace. You will be missed by us.

Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager who bought Jota for the Reds, described him as “heartbroken.”

The German wrote on Instagram that “Diogo was a fantastic player, as well as a great friend, a loving and compassionate husband and father.”

Fans gather at Anfield.

Tributes left by fans at AnfieldGetty Images

On Thursday, a horde of football fans gathered at Liverpool’s home ground in Anfield to pay their respects.

A sea of flowers, football shirts, scarves, balloons, and flags were laid out outside the stadium’s Hillsborough disaster memorial.

John Barlow, a lifelong fan and a survivor of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, called the news “absolutely devastated” and had to halt his work and travel to Anfield.

Jota was a popular player with fans who admired his perseverance and reputation as a laid-back, outgoing person off the field.

Steve Rotheram, the metro mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said, “The success that he has helped bring to this city will never be forgotten.”

The One Show star Alex Jones hung up on BBC bosses after important question

Alex Jones has been hosting The One Show for more than ten years, but when she was offered the job in 2010, she almost turned down the chance.

Alex Jones

Alex Jones, a Welsh television personality, paid tribute to Chris Evans, the programme’s Friday host, who taught her “everything” about fronting live TV and how she got her first TV show job on The One Show.

After retiring from his previous roles as presenters Adrian Chiles and Christine Lampard, Alex spoke with Mark Wogan about being approached by The One Show producers in 2010.

She initially acknowledges that she was being considered a potential host when she acknowledged that she didn’t take the opportunity seriously.

Believing the BBC simply wanted her to cover a handful of segments, she declined the offer, citing her packed schedule with other commitments: “I was doing a surfing programme, a poker programme, a holiday programme, a fashion programme, and just in general, like, a bit of a chat show as well on BBC Wales. So I was quite busy, and I thought they meant to be a reporter.”

However, when the caller made clear that Alex was actually being lined up as a potential presenter, she assumed someone was “winding her up” and hung up the phone.

She only gained confirmation that the job was legitimate after six weeks of auditions with various candidates. And Jason Manford and I ultimately won the job.

As a tea-time presenter, Alex underwent a transformation, which also coincided with the start of her on-screen partnership with Jason, and she underwent a transformation.

She recalls their early years in London, where they first stayed at a posh hotel in Sloane Square because they didn’t have any permanent residences.

“We lived in this hotel in Sloane Square, which was so weird. And I remember that shepherd’s pie was £37, and we couldn’t believe how expensive it was. We were living this funny life where we didn’t know anybody.

We would go to the movies like two kids because we knew no one and were far from our families after each show. Then we would complain to the BBC that this pricey shepherd’s pie cost £37 and ask, “Why aren’t you covering our expenses?”

She truly settled in, though, thanks to her friendship with Chris Evans, who covered for Jason on Fridays. And he was the one who taught me everything.
