Boss Rohl leaves beleaguered Sheffield Wednesday

Danny Rohl, the crisis-hit Championship side, has resigned as Sheffield Wednesday boss with mutual consent.

The 36-year-old’s departure comes just two weeks before the start of the summer, which is the most recent development.

Due to financial problems, including players being paid late in both May and June, and owner Dejphon Chansiri is considering selling the club, the Owls are currently under a number of embargoes.

When Rohl left pre-season training last month and eventually arrived in early July, he had a plan to leave.

“A very special time is coming to an end, and I’m incredibly appreciative of the experiences we shared over our 21 unforgettable months together,” Rohl wrote on Instagram.

The club and I ultimately made the difficult decision to end this summer.

I am aware of the various opinions and responses to everything that has happened recently.

“It’s very nice to have this opportunity,” I said. I have always felt the support of everyone, even through the challenging times and setbacks.

The German led the team’s worst-ever season debut at Hillsborough in October 2023, avoiding relegation to League One, with the team having endured a fantastic run of form.

Then, as their play-off push faded, Wednesday finished 12th in 2024-25, but they only won one of their final nine games.

Rohl stated that his time at Watford could be up before the off-field issues became significant after the team’s season-ending defeat at Watford.

On August 10, the Owls travel to relegated Leicester City to kick off the new Championship campaign.

Analysis: Rohl departs with the squad looking weary-up.

It is thought that Rohl had been planning his first game against Leicester. However, a difficult past few months that at times appeared to be unsustainable have resulted in the conclusion of a split.

In an effort to build bridges and launch a new chapter, Rohl had held individual meetings with players. The players, according to legend, did so with a successful final fortnight at Middlewood Road.

In their previous training, Wednesday defeated York City and Mansfield Town, scoring five goals without conceding a goal.

However, Rohl’s departure comes as a result of Callum Paterson’s announcement to leave League Two MK Dons on Monday night.

After missing their wages for May and June, the Owls have a rundown squad, and those who are still on will be monitoring pay day this week.

Justin Timberlake sparks concern as fans demand refund for ‘bare minimum’ concerts

Justin Timberlake, the star of Cry Me A River, has sparked outrage after appearing at his most recent performance, with some fans calling him “tired” and “withdrawn.”

Justin Timberlake has worried fans with his appearance ahead of his final Forget Tomorrow World Tour show. The Cry Me A River star, 44, is due to wrap up his year-long tour on July 30, but some fans have expressed concern for the dad-of-two – while others have demanded a refund.

Justin, who is married to Hollywood actress, Jessica Biel, has been accused of ‘hardly singing’ and putting on ‘lazy’ performances during the gigs following a string of ’embarrassing and bare minimum’ shows.

Following the obscene backlash he faced last week on the stage in Georgia, his supporters urged the SexyBack star to “take a break and recharge” as he took to the stage.

They praised the singer and said, “I can’t believe it’s almost over! I know you are TIRED, but I know you’re going to miss you so much. So “rest up, good, and we can start over”

Another person responded, “I saw you in Atlanta in November, and you were amazing. Best concert I’ve ever attended. You simply need a break, in my opinion. You’ve been conducting this tour for a year.

Following the “lacklustre” shows, some people weren’t as understanding as they had been demanding their money. One person questioned why he treats performing like a side job. What was your singing capacity? Another person questioned, “When are the audience paid to perform?” Imagine paying $600 to hear Justin Timberlake’s music perform at a Justin Timberlake concert.

One insider told the Daily Mail that Justin is ‘in a rut’ after shooting to fame with the Disney Club as a child and then later boy band, N-Sync, and desperately ‘needs to do something new.’

After his Romanian performance, a viral TikTok received thousands of likes after a paid-for “a lot of money” fan called the Senorita star an absolute disappointment.

According to ticket holders, Justin reportedly only sang a few words of each song after arriving late onstage.

The TikTok user then asked Justin to “reconsider” the idea behind his tour, saying, “You can’t be singing two songs and then taking a break.” Numerous fans demanded a refund, and many people agreed with the claims.

Justin’s world tour has been marred with controversy since his DWAI arrest in the Hamptons, US, last year where he hit the headlines when he told the officer: “This is going to ruin the tour”.

After a judge rejected a “disappointing” plea deal that would have allowed the singer to leave his Hamptons drunken arrest, the star was given community service last September.

Justin told the judge, “I should have had better judgment, but I was driving while intoxicated,” and that his plea was less serious. I am aware of how serious this is.

Justin’s representatives have been contacted by The Mirror to comment on this story.

NYC shooting: What we know about the victims, suspect Shane Tamura

Four people were killed by a lone attacker with an assault-style rifle, including a NYPD officer, before fatally shooting himself inside a Manhattan skyscraper in New York City, according to the police.

At a late on Monday press conference, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated to reporters that the shooting is still being looked into. According to the police, the motive for the shooting is still undetermined.

The attack took place at the skyscraper, where Blackstone, one of the largest investment firms in the world, and the National Football League (NFL), are headquartered, among others.

Who were the victims of the most recent mass shooting in the US, then? What was the suspect’s motivation, and who was he?

What additional information is there about the shooting?

At 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan on Monday evening after 6 p.m. local time (22:00 GMT).

Police Commissioner Tisch claimed that a man was seen on surveillance video marching across a public plaza into the building before 6:30 pm while exiting a BMW with an M4 rifle.

As he sprayed the lobby with gunfire, he then started firing, killing a police officer employed by a corporate security firm. He then struck a woman who tried to hide.

A guard was shot at a security desk by the man who entered the elevator, and another man was shot in the lobby.

One person was shot dead on the 33rd-floor offices of Rudin Management, the business’s owner, after taking the lift there.

The attacker fatally shot himself in the chest, putting an end to the bloodshed.

In the hours immediately following the killings, local TV footage showed groups of people evacuating the office building while raising their hands above their heads.

Nekeisha Lewis told The Associated Press that “it felt like it was two quick shots before it was rapid fire.”

A man ran away from the building and yelled “Help, help.” Lewis, who was having dinner with friends on the plaza, said, “I’m shot.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit that records gun-related violence, this shooting is the 254th mass shooting in the US this year.

A mass shooting incident, according to the group, is one in which four or more people, excluding the attacker, are killed or hurt by firearms.

Where in Manhattan did the shooting occur?

According to Tisch, “what we know so far is that a man exits a double-parked black BMW on Park Avenue between 51st and 52nd streets while holding an M4 rifle in his right hand.”

He then entered the 44-story, opulent building at 345 Park Avenue, where Deutsche Bank and KPMG are both well-known.

Just a few blocks south of Central Park is the building, which is located about a block east of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The shooting occurred at the end of a workday in the same area of Manhattan where UnitedHealthcare’s CEO was fatally shot outside a hotel late last year.

What is known about the suspect, Shane Tamura?

According to Tisch, “The shooter is believed to be Shane Tamura, a 27-year-old man with a Las Vegas address.”

His motivations are still being investigated. We are trying to figure out why he chose this particular location, she continued.

Significant criminal history was not discovered during preliminary background checks of the suspect. He did, however, have a mental illness.

At the scene, investigators searched the suspect’s car and discovered a rifle case with rounds, a loaded revolver and ammunition, a backpack, and the attacker’s medication, according to Tisch.

She claimed that a preliminary investigation revealed that Tamura’s vehicle traveled across the nation, passing through Colorado on July 26, Nebraska, and Iowa on July 27.

The vehicle was in Columbia, New Jersey, on Monday at 4:24 p.m. She claimed that shortly after that he entered New York City.

Tisch added that there are no indications that Tamura had any prior ties to the city.

What are the victims’ and the murdered officer’s details known to us?

Didarul Islam, a member of the victims, was recognized as a hero by the NYPD. According to Tisch, the 36-year-old was a Bangladeshi immigrant who had been a police officer for three and a half years.

“He was carrying out the duties that we had given him.” He caused harm to himself. She remarked, “He made the ultimate sacrifice.” A hero, he died as he lived.

Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, called him a “true blue hero.”

According to Adams, “He was saving lives and protecting New Yorkers.” He cherished this city, and everyone we spoke with referred to him as a believer and believer.

Two young boys and Islam were married. Tisch reported that his wife is expecting their third child.

Authorities only provided a few details about the three other victims, each of whom were the suspect’s two victims, and their identities.

In Rudin Management’s office, the final victim was struck. The entire building is owned by it, one of New York’s oldest real estate companies.

According to Mayor Adams, a third man was seriously hurt by the gunfire and was “fighting for his life” nearby.

Later, Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, named the injured victim as the league’s employee.

A gunman allegedly carried out an unspeakable act of violence inside our building at 345 Park Avenue, according to reports. In this attack, one of our employees suffered serious injuries. In a message to employees, Goodell stated that he is currently in a stable condition in a hospital.

Prior to their families being informed, the victims’ names were being kept secret, according to Commissioner Tisch.

The current situation is it safe?

According to the Reuters news agency, a sizable police force gathered in the area around the tower after the shooting.
