Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan shows off painful ‘black eye’ after surgery

Helen Flanagan, who portrayed Rosie Webster on the ITV soap, had a cosmetic surgery on her, and she now has a “black eye.”

Helen has been candid about having surgery.

Helen Flanagan has shown off her ‘black eyes’ after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The Coronation Street star – who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap – was seen sporting some bruising around her eye in a new post on social media.

The Corrie star has been open about the surgery she has undergone, which at times she has been heavily criticised for. She opened up in 2022 about undergoing a breast enhancement and said it really helped her to get her confidence back.

She defended her decision a few years ago, saying, “I was quite candid about my recent boob job on Instagram.” I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time, and by doing so, I’ve really gained my confidence.

I breastfed total for three years. I ate with Matilda for eight months. I spent 13 months feeding Delilah. I fed Charlie for 14 months. I wanted to finish my breastfeeding journey with Charlie pretty quickly so I could finish them. You might tie them in a bow, I thought. After giving birth, I had to wait six months before taking it in January.

She continued, “I don’t regret any of my breastfeeding journeys, because they were precious.” They are so inexplicably big for my frame, which was a little bit scary for me.

In addition to her most recent treatment, Helen had polynucleotide cosmetic facial surgery. It uses DNA fragments to promote skin regeneration and revitalization as part of a cosmetic procedure. Although it initially results in redness, swelling, and bruises where they are injected, it still leaves a young, radiant complexion.

She flashed her painful, black eyes.

Helen also made the decision to get Botox in 2019 and described how it has improved her self-assurance.

I wanted to feel more upbeat and self-assured because I had Delilah. She said, “I would take pictures with my kids on my phone and be shocked at how much older I looked, even though I still think I’m 20.”

I’m so happy with my Botox, and it’s a good idea if you’re like me and still want to look 23.

Just a few weeks ago, Helen recalled how she was verbally abused by a man on the Tube for standing up for another woman. She explained how the woman had been harassed by the man and when she stood up for the woman, she was verbally abused too.

He was really bad, and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn’t talk to him because I actually felt intimidated. He said, “You’ve got so much Botox in your forehead, and I’m sitting there with an iced coffee, I’m surprised you can even drink through a straw,” and she said it was the strangest thing he could have said.

We’ve had items left on my car that were attempted break-ins. More sinister than just fans arriving and requesting selfies, really?

He continued, saying he now comprehends and has to accept that his family will always need some form of protection. We have a level of security that, according to Ed, is unlikely to change once I pass away. Our current existence is just that.

And he explained how protective his protective ways have led to his refusal to allow photos of his young children, adding that the attempt has sparked “real arguments” among those who try.

“I’m fine with taking pictures,” he said. “But I just think it’s weird with a four-year-old and a three-year-old.”

As he revealed the negatives of his enormous fame, Ed candidly admitted he wished his family could lead a more “normal” life. You must accept both the good and the bad to be in the public sphere. However, I believe my children would definitely benefit from a more normal lifestyle.

The update comes just a month after he had revealed to Louis Theroux how difficult it was to spend time with his kids in public. He said on an episode of the journalist’s podcast that he has had to install 24 hour security at his home because of “weird things which have happened”.

On the episode of the Louis Theroux podcast, he said, “I was actually having a conversation with my wife about this because I believe there is a different kind of normal that our business is.”

“For instance, I have 24-hour security at my house, I have security with my kids, I have security with my wife, and I have security with my wife because, like, over the years, there have been a few strange things that have happened.”

Ed continued, “Just, you know, there are a lot of dangerous people out there,” when Louis expressed shock at the admission. We’ve had break-ins and s***, just like that, you know…

I’ve never seen that as normal (having security), but it’s completely normal in my industry. Like many others I know, security and similar things are present.

“So I don’t know, that’s kind of like an underlying thing that no one ever really talks about, but I suppose that’s a part of being in the public eye.”

Late Odegaard Penalty Gives Arsenal 3-2 Win Over Newcastle

In a pre-season friendly in Singapore on Sunday, Martin Odegaard scored the winner from the spot in the 84th minute as Arsenal defeated Newcastle 3-2.

Before kickoff, the crowd of more than 38,700 gathered to introduce Swedish international striker Viktor Gyokeres, who was signed from Sporting Lisbon on Saturday.

In the Singapore heat, he watched from the bench as his new club won a thrilling match.

The 27-year-old could make his debut next Thursday when Arsenal take on Tottenham in another friendly in Hong Kong.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his delight at having Viktor with us because “we are constantly improving the quality of the squad.”

“He needs to be here for a long time,” he said.

In the sixth minute, Newcastle scored with their first attack, which was without striker Alexander Isak as he considers his future.

After receiving a cross from Sandro Tonali, Anthony Elanga, a new signing, blasted the ball into the bottom corner.

However, after a shaky beginning, Arsenal regained control and rhythm.

In the 33rd minute, Kai Havertz’s film brought in Mikel Merino.

When Arsenal’s defenseman fumbled the ball into his own net two minutes later, Arsenal was ahead.

After the restart, the Magpies almost had a third lead, but keeper Nick Pope thanked him for stopping Bukayo Saka’s bicycle kick.

Unopposed to the start of play, substitute Jacob Murphy scored for Newcastle when his outside-of-box shot smacked past David Raya.

The game-changer came from 15-year-old Max Dowman’s deep run into the box, where he was clipped by Joelinton, with the match seemingly going to be a draw.

Following a 1-0 defeat at AC Milan, Odegaard made no mistakes from the spot to give Arsenal their second Singapore victory.

“Today was a friendly game against Newcastle,” the statement read. It was a real test, Arteta claimed.

It increased our physical and competitiveness levels. We still need to improve, such as how well we compete, comprehend our positions, and demonstrate our resolve to win.

Countries denounce Israel but keep trading with it

The foreign ministers of 28 nations have signed a statement calling for an end to Israel’s war on Gaza as Israel continues to kill Palestinians quickly and slowly through air strikes and starvation.

There hasn’t been much action on other fronts because these nations have spoken in response to the warnings from the UN and other organizations about a looming famine months later.

While France last week caused anger among Israeli officials by announcing it would do the same in September, some of these nations have recognized the Palestinian state.

Many critics have pointed out that many nations continue to benefit from trade with Israel while making these statements and have not imposed any sanctions or other steps to put an end to Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza.

In Gaza, 144 people were killed and 477 were injured in addition to the war’s at least 59.

What you need to know about the nations that Israel favors while its military actions are condemned is this:

What kind of trade are there between Israel and the signatories of the statement?

According to the Observatory of Economic Complexity’s 2023 figures for Israel, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom all have more than $1 billion in imports, exports, or both.

What goods do these nations trade with Israel?

Cars and other motor vehicles, integrated circuits, vaccines, and perfumes are just a few examples of the items that are being traded.

The largest individual product imported to Ireland, accounting for about $3.58 billion, is made up of integrated circuits, which accounts for the majority of its imports from Israel.

Italy exports to Israel more frequently than any other nation that signed the statement. Its $3.49bn of exports included $116m in cars in 2023.

Are these nations tolerant of Palestine?

Ireland and Spain, two of the nations that signed the statement, have publicly opposed Israel’s actions in Gaza and recognized Palestine in 2024. Still, they are still able to continue trading with Israel.

Cyprus, Malta, and Poland, all of which recognized Palestine in 1988, shortly after the Palestinian Declaration of Independence, are also recognized as being members of the seven other nations that signed the statement.

France announced that it will recognize Palestine at the UN General Assembly in September, while Sweden (2014), Norway (2024), and Slovenia (2024) also ratified it.

The statement was signed by who?

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Malta, Malta, Malta, Malta, Malta, Malta, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

They are still trading with Israel in total.

What response did Israel give to the statement?

As anticipated.

Israel rejects the statement, according to Oren Marmorstein, a spokesperson for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saying it is “sent to Hamas in a disjointed manner.”

What other activities do nations engage in in bilateral trading with Israel?

After holding an urgent call to discuss the conflict and the humanitarian crisis brought on by Israel’s siege and aid blockade on the enclave, France, Germany, and the UK called for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza and “unconditional release of all hostages.”

Has anything about this caused Israel to reevaluate its behavior?

Even long-time Israeli stalwart supporters, including former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, have been drawn to the Gaza hunger issue.

In al-Mawasi, Deir el-Balah, and Gaza City, Israel announced “tactical pauses” for “humanitarian purposes” from 10am to 8pm (07:00 to 17:00 GMT). On Sunday, they began.

At least 43 Palestinians were killed early on Sunday by Israeli forces despite the pauses.

In addition to two children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Sunday that it had already recorded six more fatalities as a result of famine and malnutrition over the course of 24 hours.
