With a baby on one hip and a toddler running around her feet, it’s clear that Jorgie Porter is happy but being kept on her toes when we sit down to chat. “My social life is a two-year-old and a seven-month-old, so I love getting to chat with adults,” the Hollyoaks actress says, laughing.

Jorgie, 37, who plays Theresa McQueen in the soap, is clearly a doting mum to son Forest and daughter Peony, who was born last December. She shares them with fiancé Ollie Piotrowski, but, as she admits, it hasn’t been an easy transition. Here, the chatty soap star tells OK! how she’s striking the right balance with her little ones, why she’s passionate about showing every side of motherhood and why she can’t wait to get back to work…

How is life like for a mother of two, Jorgie?

Oh, it’s horrendous going from one to two, nobody tells you that! We are honestly in the trenches of war. It is extremely different, I’m not gonna lie. I think nobody prepares you for the baby growing up and you miss all the checkpoints because you’re focusing on them both. It’s like, “Oh, she’s eating now,” whereas with Forest we were celebrating every moment. It’s heartbreaking in a way, because I don’t want to miss a thing when I love them so much.

Little Peony, how are you?

Dare I say, she’s been a very easy baby so far. I haven’t noticed a massive difference between having a boy and a girl just yet. I’m quite lucky that I’ve got happy babies, but Forest is definitely a tad dramatic, like me. He’s a bit bossy and so am I – but you can’t have two bosses, so I’m navigating that.

On social media, you undoubtedly discuss both the positive and negative aspects of parenting. Do you care about that much?

Oh no, because when you’re a mother or parent at home on your own and you’re thinking, “Why on earth is my baby crying so much no matter what I try,” you share it and your followers cheer you on. Or they’ll say, “That happens to me, too.” I realized I wasn’t the only one.

Because you encourage each other, I enjoy talking about it with other mothers. Everyone goes through the same experiences, despite the fact that you might feel like you’re not.

And how does Ollie act as a father?

He is fantastic. Because Forest will stay with me all day and then continue to say he wants Daddy, it’s a little annoying. I’m like, “I’ve been looking after you, mate”! Although he is excellent and involved, that is fantastic. He is a 10-year-old with a previous partner, so he is more knowledgeable about certain matters than I am. Because this isn’t his first rodeo, he feels more at ease.

Do you give the kids any “me time”?

Not much, gosh. I do more now that my baby is older, but there was no way I could have imagined when I was just a baby. I spend an hour or two getting my nails or hair done, but I then wonder, “What should I do now?” You don’t really relax because you become inquisitive about what the babies are up to and whether or not they’re alright.

Would you be expecting more children?

No, we are now at peace. We have unquestionably chosen that option. Ollie needs to do it because he is getting the snip. If there were another one, I would be like, “There is no time for anything,” which is true for me personally. I want to enjoy my two-minutes without missing any more. No, we are content and blessed, then.

Will you soon make a trip to Hollyoaks?

Yes, I’ll return when my maternity is over. I can’t disclose anything that is particularly unique about going back, but it’s exciting. After having Forest, I thought to myself, “Oh, my God, this is so exciting!” I haven’t been to an adult gathering in a while, so I’m going to cut it this time. On set, I feel like I enter a different life and don’t care as much about the kids. It’s like living twice.

This fall, you’re participating in Hollyoaks’ 30th anniversary tour.

And I’m so excited about it. I thought it was going to be a little sit-down panel but now I’ve been told I can dance on stage. So in my mind I’m like, “Oh, this is my show now!” I’m doing it with Gary [Lucy], Ashley [Taylor Dawson] and Nick [Pickard], which is great because we bounce off each other so well. I’ve known Nick since I first started on Hollyoaks – every day with him is great. We’re gonna chat about backstage things that have happened because we’re celebrating 30 years of the show. We’ll talk about all the best bits, the funniest bits. I’ve got thousands of them.

Any lingering jitters about returning to work?

Never do I get anxious. I don’t get scared when I perform. I’m okay with talking, in all fairness. I can tell it will be brilliant.

Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler reflects on 57 years with Ozzy Osbourne in moving tribute

Geezer Butler, the bassist for Black Sabbath, wrote a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, saying he realized he would never see him again after their final performance.

Terence “Geezer” Butler, the bassist for Black Sabbath, honors his bandmate and friend Ozzy Osbourne in a heartfelt piece in The Sunday Times, praising their “57 incredible years of friendship.”

The rock world is mourning the loss of the iconic frontman who passed away on 22 July at the age of 76, just two weeks following Black Sabbath’s final performance.

Geezer wrote in his tribute, “I didn’t realize then that I would never see Ozzy again after that night.”

The seminal band, which included The Polka Tulk Blues Band and Earth, was formed in 1968 by Geezer and Ozzy and Tony Iommi and Bill Ward.

He recalled when an uni-foot Ozzy showed up at his door, prompting him to invite Ozzy to the band.

Geezer wrote in his own words, “Ozzy wasn’t the Prince of Darkness; rather, he was the Prince of Laughter,” at the age of 76. He was born an entertainer and would do anything to make people laugh.

In acknowledging Ozzy’s health issues as they approached rehearsals that began a month prior, Geezer looked back at their final performance on July 5th.

He admitted, “I wasn’t prepared to see how frail he was, but I knew he wasn’t in good health.” He was using a cane, which was black and adorned with gold and precious stones, as Ozzy, and two helpers and a nurse helped him enter the rehearsal room.

He sat in a chair while singing, and he didn’t really say much other than the typical greetings.

He observed them practicing their songs, but he noted that Ozzy appeared worn-out after only a few songs and was noticeably subdued in comparison to his former self.

The finale, according to Geezer, was the strangest aspect of the entire show. We normally give each other hugs and bows to the audience, but we didn’t consider it when Ozzy was there. How do we behave? Tony waved his hand to me and gave him a cake, but it was such an odd way to end our story.

“Wishes are now redundant, but I wish I could have spent more time with Ozzy backstage.” As Ozzy once said, “Wish in one hand and s*** in the other and see which comes first.” ‘”.

“The fact that he had to leave us just over two weeks after the final performance was beyond belief.” I’m still so grateful for our most recent performance in front of his adoring fans, though.

Geezer described having shared the majority of his life with Ozzy as “privileged.”

He concluded his tribute by saying, “God bless, Oz, it has been a wild ride!” Love you”!.

GB’s Jones & Loffhagen win Challenger titles

Francesca Jones defeated Anouk Koevermans 6-3, 6-2 in Palermo to win her second Challenger Tour title in a dominant display.

The 24-year-old will move up to 84th overall when the rankings are released on Monday, marking her first appearance in the top 100.

Jones, an England international, lost in the opening round of the US Open earlier this month, but he has since won four clay-based Challenger Tour victories. He is the fourth alternate for the main draw of the US Open in the coming month.

She served out the first set before breaking her Dutch opponent to take the 5-3 lead.

At the Palermo Ladies Open, Jones, who is undefeated, continued that momentum into the second and broke once more in the opening match before putting up a double break at 4-1 to seal the victory.

The Bradford-born player has never been outside the first round of a Grand Slam event and reached her first semi-final in 2023 with a hamstring problem.

In Segovia, fellow Briton George Loffhagen defeated Spain’s Nicolas Alvarez Varona 7-6 (7-4) 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 to seal the victory.

Win over Washington for Fernandez and De Minaur

With a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Anna Kalinskaya at the Washington Open, Leylah Fernandez won the tournament’s biggest victory of her career.

Fernandez broke again for 5-1 before serving out the first set after a double fault from Russian Kalinskaya, who gave her a break to take the lead 3-1.

As Canada’s Fernandez added another double break, helping her win the set in 40 minutes, Kalinskaya struggled with the humid conditions in the second half.

Fernandez won her first WTA 500 title and her first final appearance since June 2024 when she lost at Eastbourne.

She won the Canadian Open in Montreal, where she will face Australian Maya Joint in the first round, and rose from the position of world number 36 to 24.

After avoiding three match points against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina from Spain, Joint’s compatriot Alex de Minaur won the men’s title in Washington, DC.

The Australian number one rallied from a set down before turning the tables in the third set to win 5-7, 6-1, 7-6, 7-3.

England vs India: Gill, Jadeja dig deep with bat to draw fourth Test

In the fourth Test against England, India, led by captain Shubman Gill, batted brilliantly to maintain the series’ momentum heading into the final game.

India batted for over five sessions to take two more wickets to put an end to the match 425-4 at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday after losing two wickets before the team had scored a run in their second innings.

The home crowd had little to cheer on a difficult day five for England thanks to a brave 100 from Gill, his fourth of the series, and his unwavering unbeaten centuries from Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar.

The hosts must win the series opener at The Oval in London on Thursday to avoid being defeated, which will be a close one with England still in play.

Given that we were running about 300 runs short of the lead, this is no less than a win for us. Our batsman put on a fantastic performance, Gill told the BBC.

“With a little bit of luck going our way as some balls can get dragged on, brilliant batting and brave batting,” England’s batters did a little bit, but it was doing a little bit, and it was fantastic.

England’s Ben Stokes, who took five wickets for India in their opening innings but was unable to bowl much on Saturday, started the attack on Sunday morning, leading India to 174-2.

At this point, the hosts were undisputed favorites to win, and Stokes’ reintroduction paid off. KL Rahul’s excellent third-wicket partnership with Gill came to an end with 188 and the 34-year-old was trapped by lbw for 90.

Even after receiving a nasty hand, Gill remained unfazed, though. The 25-year-old became the third captain to score four hundred runs in a single Test series in his first capstone role.

Gill Falls

A tired-looking Gill looked on as a Jofra Archer delivery fell just before lunchtime for 103. Joe Root had a difficult first-class chance when Jadeja was dropped on the next ball.

India saw the draw in relative comfort, but England still had plenty of time to win.

After lunch, Washington settled in a conservative manner, but he hit numerous boundaries, including a massive six, to complete his fifth Test half-century. Jadeja became the third Indian player to do so this series after going through 1, 000 Test runs against England.

After tea, England offered India the chance to call a late stop to the game, but Gill kept his team there as their chance of winning was gone.

Before Washington’s maiden Test hundred, Jadeja swept to his fifth century under no pressure as England switched their bowlers.

Then, in 2022, England’s first non-rain-affected draw since coach Brendon McCullum and Stokes were paired together, India agreed to a draw.

Stokes addressed the media with “another hard-fought Test.” “A new five-dayer,” We did a fantastic job of setting up the game by pressing on the Indian bowlers and batting once.

We had a good chance of beating them. Stokes continued, “We played the game as we wanted to, and it didn’t just turn out as we wanted.”

I feel better physically, and I feel better mentally. This series has had a lot of work going.

North Korea says it has ‘no interest’ in dialogue with South Korea

In response to Seoul’s outreach efforts under its new left-leaning president, Kim Jong Un’s powerful sister has rejected the possibility of a dialogue with South Korea.

Kim Yo Jong criticized South Korean President Lee Jae-myung’s efforts to bolster ties with Pyongyang, including the suspension of loudspeaker propaganda along the tense inter-Korean border, in a statement released by state-run media on Monday.

Kim, the head of the Workers’ Party of Korea’s ruling party, described Lee’s decision to halt the broadcasts as a “reversible turning backward of what they should not have done in the first place.”

Nothing could be a “more serious miscalculation” than South Korea “expected that it could reverse all the outcomes it had produced,” Kim claimed in remarks made by the official Korean Central News Agency.

Kim also criticized the Lee administration for “spinning a daydream” after its unification minister, Chung Dong-young, earlier this month endorsed Kim Jong Un’s invitation to the South Korean summit on economic cooperation in October.

According to Kim, the Lee administration’s “blind trust” in South Korea’s security partnership with the United States and “attempt to stand in confrontation” with Pyongyang are not at all different from Yoon Suk-yeol’s previous, conservative administration’s policies.

Kim, speaking in the name of South Korea’s Republic of Korea, “We clarify once more the official position that no matter what policy is put forth and what proposal is made in Seoul, we have no interest in it,” Kim said.

After Yoon was removed over a brief-lived declaration of martial law, Lee, who took office last month, has vowed to boost ties between the two Koreas, which have technically been at war since the Korean War of 1950-1953.

In contrast to Yoon’s conservative People Power Party and its ally, Lee’s left-leaning Democratic Party and its predecessors have traditionally favored closer ties with North Korea.
