Kerry Katona’s daughter broke down in tears as she recalled a chilling childhood memory of her stepdad hitting her mum.

Heidi Katona was just a child when her third husband, former rugby player George Kay, tragically passed away in a drugs overdose in 2019 at the age of 39 after “eating cocaine” at a hotel.

The now 18-year-old, who claims her biological father, Mark Croft, is Kerry’s second husband, a cab driver, and drug dealer, opened up about growing up and admitted: “I saw things as I should not have seen.”

The teen claimed she witnessed George brutally assault her mother, who is the father of Dylan-Jorge, Kerry’s 11-year-old daughter, DJ. He once threatened to kill DJ by injecting her with heroin.

Heidi, who wants to follow in her mum Kerry’s footsteps and be famous, now has mixed feelings about the man she called dad. In her first ever interview, she told The Sun: “I am grieving for him. But I also saw my dad hitting my mum.

She was unaware of what I saw at the time. It affects who I am at the moment. I should not have seen things when I was younger. I went to a therapist, but I don’t understand why. I make an effort to be resilient. Like my mother, I use humor to cover up situations, but it’s not always simple.

The 44-year-old Atomic Kitten star has gained notoriety for both her career and personal life over the years. She and her first husband, Westlife star Brian McFadden, are the mother of five with three children: Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22.

Heidi, 18, and her brother, age 17, were both born while Mark Croft, her second husband, was still alive. Heidi, who suggested her real father wasn’t a part of her life any longer, paid tribute to her mother on father’s day earlier this month and shared the photo on social media as “The woman who did both jobs @kerrykatona7 Happy Father’s Day.” DJ, 11, is Kerry’s youngest child, and her father, George Kay, her late third husband, is her.

Over her 25-year career Kerry – who grew up in foster care – has been a singer and reality TV star and been declared bankrupt twice. But she is now a self-made millionaire again after joining adults only site OnlyFans – and Heidi revealed she got her kids approval before signing up to the platform during lockdown.

Before explaining what the site was, she explained how mum Kerry sat them all down and said, “I want to do OnlyFans, tell me if you have a problem with that.” She claimed that Lockdown meant that all of her other work had ended. She should do it because she is a mature woman who makes her own decisions, we all agreed.

She made money from her earnings to purchase all of our Airpods. I thought, “This is fantastic.” There is no significant difference between her previous attempts at glamour and those of which she has been pictured with her boobs out. She then takes control of her sexuality and profits from it.

We weren’t aware that she was having money problems at the time. Over the years, she has kept a lot of secrets from us.

Her mother, who works for OnlyFans, now lives in a five-bedroom home in Cheshire and drives a Lamborghini, which Kerry acknowledges she’s made a lot of money selling foot fetish photos.

But though she has fame in her sights, Heidi insists she wants to be a lawyer or a property developer – and says she would never do Love Island as she doesn’t want her mum to see her kissing on TV.

A boy was attacked by a shark at Cabarita Beach on Sunday, and he is now receiving serious arm injuries in the hospital.

A suspected Great White shark bit a teenage boy after he was bitten by it at a beach in New South Wales, which TV hosts Ant and Dec frequent.

Shark fatalities are uncommon in NSW, Australia, but it’s thought there have been three since 2021.

A 17-year-old girl was killed by a shark while swimming at a well-known tourist destination on Bribie Island, north of Brisbane, just weeks prior to the recent attack.

Charlize Zmuda, the victim of life-threatening upper body injuries, was treated immediately at the scene by emergency personnel. She later passed away tragically.

After the incident, her devastated family decided to concentrate on the “incredible life she lived and not the awful way she died.”

In a statement, they stated that Charlotte was a “brilliant light who truly touched the lives of everyone she met.”

Club World Cup: Chelsea Overcome Weather Delay, Set Up Palmeiras Quarter-Final

At the Club World Cup in the United States on Saturday, Chelsea defeated Benfica in a game that lasted for close to five hours before the quarter-final showdown with Brazilian side Palmeiras.

The London club won 4-1 over Benfica thanks to extra-time goals from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

After a nearly two-hour delay due to the weather, their late burst of scoring at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina resolved the last-16 tie.

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, was happy with the victory for his team, but criticized the delay, which had already spanned almost five hours.

Maresca said, “I don’t believe it’s a joke; it’s not football.”

We held the lead in the 85-minute period. We had enough chances to win the game. Then, after the break, the game changed; personally, it’s not football.

Chelsea had already sounded confident in winning the match with four minutes left before Reece James’ opportunistic second-half free kick had given them a 1-0 lead.

However, a storm over Charlotte just as Chelsea began to consider their quarter-final matchup prompted local safety regulations that required the suspension of the game.

A weather warning has interrupted a game for the sixth time during the Club World Cup.

After Chelsea substitute Malo Gusto was deemed to have handled in the penalty area in response to an intervention by the Video Assistant Referee, play resumed just under two hours later.

Angel Di Maria, an Argentine veteran, scored an ice-cold penalty to make it extra time for Benfica.

Following Gianluca Prestianni’s second yellow card at the end of regulation, Benfica threatened to take the lead in the pursuit of an improbable victory in an end-to-end first half of extra time.

Instead, Nkunku fired back from close range after Moises Caicedo’s low shot was squirted underneath Benfica goalkeeper Antoliy Trubin, who had the ball squirted underneath Chelsea.

Chelsea launched an attack as the game progressed, and Benfica became more vulnerable on the counter-attack.

After going clean through on goal in the 114th minute, Neto made it 3-1 with a nerveless finish, and Dewsbury-Hall added three minutes later to send Chelsea through to the last eight.

On Friday, they will travel to Philadelphia, where they previously lost two games in the group stage, to face Palmeiras in the quarter-finals.

Brazilian Derby is halted by Paulinho

In a battle of attrition earlier on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the Brazilian club were appreciative of Paulinho’s winner at extra-time after winning 1-0 to beat domestic rivals Botafogo 1-0.

The winger started the second half with the addition of teenage sensation Estevao Willian, who initially appeared uninspired but ultimately proved to be inspiring, as Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira did in the first half.

When Paulinho received a pass from Richard Rios on the right flank, the tie reached 100 minutes later, and he had the opportunity to enter the box before slotting a low shot into the far corner.

The majority of the 33, 657 Palmeiras fans were in awe of the fiery celebrations, and the Sao Paulo side held on to win the game despite having captain Gustavo Gomez sent off late on.

“He came because he wanted to play for long enough to decide a game,” he said. After the tournament, Ferreira, who has struggled with injuries since signing for Palmeiras at the start of the year, said, “He is going to have to stop again.”

Palmeiras, who won the Copa Libertadores in 2020 and 2021, will now hope to elude their Brazilian rival Flamengo, who defeated Chelsea in the group stage.

Paris Saint-Germain take on Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami on Sunday in Atlanta for the last-16 match.

Bayern Munich will face Flamengo in Miami later.

‘Tuipulotu finds feet again and hails world-class Ringrose and Russell’

Having missed the Six Nations through injury, Sione Tuipulotu feels he’s now finding his best stuff again, the kind of power and influence that shot him to favourite for the Lions Test 12 jersey in the first place.

“I’m starting to get my feet back underneath me,” said the centre after playing the full 80 minutes in the convincing win over Western Force on Saturday.

“Obviously, I haven’t played Test rugby since the autumn. I still feel like I’ve got massive growth to do and I know I can start playing my best rugby in the bigger games at the end of this tour.”

There’s no doubt he is getting better with every game. There’s also no doubt that the battle for the Test midfield partnership is intense.

In Perth the partnership was Tuipulotu and Garry Ringrose, who the Scotland captain was impressed by, to put it mildly. “Jeez, mate, he’s a missile out there,” Tuipulotu said of the Irishman’s physicality.

He enjoyed being alongside Ringrose in the red of the Lions as opposed to in front of him in the blue of Scotland.

The last time Tuipulotu faced Ringrose in the international arena was at the World Cup in Paris in 2023. Ireland sprinted into a 36-0 lead before Scotland managed a couple of late consolation tries. Ringrose was exceptional on one of the darker days of Tuipulotu’s Test career.

“He backed himself to make those [defensive] reads,” said Tuipulotu of the howitzers Ringrose put in on a succession of Western Force attackers. “He left a few sore bodies out there, including himself. What a player.

“I really enjoyed playing with him. And then I also enjoyed when Shuggie [Huw Jones] came off the bench and got some valuable minutes after being out for a while.”

In all probability Jones, after his Lions debut against the Force, will get his chance to shine from the start on Wednesday when Andy Farrell’s side face the more difficult challenge of the Reds in Brisbane. The Reds, coached by incoming Wallabies boss Les Kiss, finished fifth in this season’s Super Rugby compared to the Force who struggled in ninth.

Pre-match in Perth, when the stadium announcer was calling the teams, Tuipulotu was introduced as “another former Aussie Sione Tuipulotu”, a crack at the Melbourne-born centre’s expense. Mack Hansen, James Lowe and Pierre Schoeman, the other southern hemisphere-born Lions, got similar treatment from the wiseguy with the mic.

Tuipulotu had a chuckle at the wind-up. “I knew there would be some good humour coming back home to Australia,” he said. “Look, these are all things we’ve got to take in our stride. To not announce the elephant in the room, I am from Australia. You know, I was born here. I don’t know how funny that gag is to everyone.

Tuipulotu also spoke about fly-half Finn Russell’s influence on the game and the stamp he’s putting on the 2025 Lions.

“We’re taking ideas from all the nations. Obviously, the coaching style is very Ireland dominant and there’s a lot of ideas that we’re getting from the Irish coaches, but then they’re sprinkled on. When Finn comes in, he plays his style. He plays to the structure of the team, but he’s a very instinctive player and he wants to play what’s directly in front of his face.

“There’s a mixture there and I think that’s what’s going to make it hard to defend for teams. They’re not necessarily defending a structure of play, they’re kind of defending a structure of play with really supreme individuals conducting it, like Finn.

“Finn coming into the line-up helped a lot. I’ve played a lot of rugby with Finn so that combination doesn’t really need to be worked on.

“He’s a world-class number 10. He’s been here, done that. He’s come off a really good season after winning the Premiership with Bath and I thought him and Tomos [Williams] controlled the game and were able to move the ball like we talked about during the week. You could see how we’re trying to play the game.”

In a lighter moment during the press conference after the game, Farrell mentioned that the squad had created their own song, a first blast coming in Perth.

“I think Fin Smith and Huw Jones wrote up the song. We got the first crack of it in the changing room. I’d like to perfect it before I share it to the world. Yeah it was pretty rough, to be honest. We were off beat, so we’re going to need a few more practice runs before we nail it and put it out to the media.”

Forgotten Blue Peter presenter tragically died at 28 after courageous health battle

Michael Sundin once co-hosted the renowned BBC program Blue Peter, but he left after less than a year. He bravely battled a courageous health battle to pass away at the age of 28.

At the young age of 12, Michael Sundin was already a trampolining champion, a skill that would later help him land the role of Blue Peter presenter in 1984.

Before joining the iconic children’s programme, Michael had starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Cats before he went on to play Tik-Tok in Disney’s Return To Oz.

He was subsequently cast alongside her and Simon Groom after meeting the Blue Peter producers during an interview with Janet Ellis, the show’s then-presenter.

Michael quickly gained notoriety for his daredevil antics on Blue Peter, reporting from movie sets and even visiting Elton John’s home after taking Peter Duncan’s shoes.

However, Michael’s on-screen charisma was sorely lacking that he left the show less than a year later, reportedly when his contract expired. He tragically passed away in 1989, at the age of 28, from an Aids-related illness.

During his brief time on Blue Peter, Michael was cruelly outdone by the media as a “blond, outgoing, gregarious ball of fun” and referred to by loved ones as a “blond, outgoing, gregarious ball of fun.”

Although then-Editor Biddy Baxter put his departure down to unpopularity with viewers, his exit was engulfed in controversy as many claimed it was because of his sexuality, OK! reports.

Baxter refuted these claims in a television interview in 2007 by saying that it was his decision to leave the program because his fans were not interested in him and had nothing to do with his sexual preferences.

Michael pursued acting after his Blue Peter stint, where he co-starred in the 1987 film Lionheart. He performed in the musical numbers Seven Brides For Seven Brothers and Starlight Express on stage, and he even made an appearance in the 1988 music video for She Wants To Dance With Me by Rick Astley.

However, Michael’s illness also caused tragedy that year. He was 28 years old when he passed away at Newcastle General Hospital, where liver cancer was initially suspected to be his cause of death.
