Dumbarton field entire squad of trialists

Because every member of Dumbarton’s squad was a trialist, their pre-season friendly games against Stenhousemuir and Stirling Albion caused a stir on social media.

Stevie Farrell was forced to bring in different players for a mini-tournament in Stenhousemuir after a difficult few months off the pitch for the Sons and players who were taking vacations.

Before kick-off in their first game, Dumbarton announced on X that “the team news is in.”

“All changes for the clash with the Binos as Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, and Trialist come in place of Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, and Trialist,” Dumbarton said before their later game against Stirling Albion on Saturday.

The bench consists of “trialist, trialist, trialist, and trialist.”

By dissolving its holding company and creating a new company that is entirely owned by Canadian businessman Mario Lapointe, a deal was reached earlier this month for Dumbarton to leave its administration.

The club is still awaiting approval from the Scottish FA and SPFL, who both requested that they register new signings and play in League 2, given that they were previously relegated following a 15-point deduction.

Due to the number of contracted senior players taking vacations, manager Farrell stated that he would also be hiring trialists and younger players in the run-up to the game.

One X user responded to the club while football fans made jokes about the team news, saying “Amazing day for the Trialist family.”

Archer set for red-ball return with Sussex

Jofra Archer, a fast bowler, is expected to play in the County Championship against Durham on Sunday, making him eligible for a long-awaited comeback.

After a number of injuries, most notably to his right elbow and back, Archer, 30, has not played a top-notch match for more than four years.

Although he has since returned to the white ball team, England hopes to make a significant transition to a Division One appearance at Chester-le-Street this year.

Archer made a thrilling debut in the 2019 Ashes after taking the decisive super over in the World Cup final earlier that summer. He was regarded as a generational talent.

In his electric bowling performance at Lord’s, which resulted in the Australia batter retiring hurt after being hit in the neck, he took 22 wickets at 20.27 over four Tests.

Archer hasn’t appeared in white for England since the third Test in India in 2021 despite playing nine more Tests.

On that tour, he experienced stress fractures in his right elbow, which required multiple surgeries. In 2022, he also experienced a stress fracture to his back.

Since Sussex lost to Kent in a County Championship game in May 2021, he has not played any red-ball cricket.

Archer, who was injured in the recent T20 and 50-over encounters against West Indies, returned for the T20 World Cup last year and competed in the Champions Trophy earlier this year, having recovered from a minor thumb injury to make it through 12 months of white-ball cricket unhurt.

In the hope that Archer, who can still travel at speeds above 90 mph, will still be a significant part in the Ashes this winter, England has meticulously managed his schedule over the past 12 months.

An eye will be kept on Archer if he does make a return to the north east while Stokes’ side play India in the first Test at Headingley, according to Test captain Ben Stokes earlier this week when he revealed Archer had texted him about the possibility of playing in the one-off Test against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge.

Lucy Spraggan has to ‘go through’ Simon Cowell’s partner to contact him despite close bond

Lucy Spraggan, the X Factor star, has maintained a close friendship with music mogul Simon Cowell, who has had a successful career since appearing on the talent show in 2012.

Good friends are Lucy and Simon.

Lucy Spraggan has said that she has to “go through” Lauren to speak to Simon Cowell, despite him walking her down the aisle. Simon and Lucy have been close ever since she competed on The X Factor back in 2012, but she still doesn’t have direct contact with him.

Lucy has argued that Simon never communicates with her first, and that Lauren, Simon’s partner, is her only option when she wants to communicate with him. This is however caused by Simon’s lack of access to his personal cell phone.

Due to this, Simon can only be reached through Lauren Silverman, his fiance. Lucy and her wife Emilia Smith frequently stay with Simon and Lauren at their homes in Los Angeles and the Cotswolds as well as taking trips to Barbados, despite not having regular phone conversations.

I communicate with Lauren constantly, Lucy told The Sun. But since Simon isn’t using a phone, I can speak with him.”

Last year, Simon was significant at Lucy’s wedding. At the ceremony, he led the singer down the aisle and read a poem.

Lucy asked Simon to perform the honor during a vacation. The singer-songwriter said: “It’s as nice to have a close bond with anyone as it is to have a close bond with anyone,” in an exclusive interview with The Mirror. He is a truly exceptional and individual person.

There are a lot of people who I talk to a lot about him, and there is a lot of people who I can only talk to about them because of how well they’ve treated me.

I think Simon is a great guy because I’ve had nothing but great times with him and many really important conversations with him.

Before their breakup in 2019, Lucy and Georgina Gordon had previously been married. During their six-year marriage, the two women discussed wanting to start a family together.

Lucy has previously stated that she doesn’t anticipate having children in the future. She stated, “I don’t want kids. All of my former friends who had children were like, “Luce, don’t do it.” I adore them, but I don’t.

“Em has some health issues herself. And, like, I do music and I do my job so that I can experience peace in between. I feel like I couldn’t give what I need to give to my career if I had a child, and I wouldn’t have any f*****g peace If I had a child. It’s dogs, dogs for me.”

Israel strikes Iran’s Isfahan nuclear site, buildings on fire in Tel Aviv

Local authorities in Iran’s Isfahan province claim that there were no radiation leaks at a significant nuclear site.

After Israeli air strikes overnight at the nuclear site, which triggered the air defense system, caused smoke to rise early on Saturday in an area close to a mountain in the city of Isfahan.

At least 430 people were killed and nearly 3,500 others were injured in Iran as a result of the Middle Eastern conflict, according to Iran’s health ministry, which announced its second attack on Isfahan.

According to authorities, the Isfahan attack left no injuries.

According to Iranian media, Israeli forces also attacked a military installation in Shiraz, in southern Iran.

Explosions were audible above Tel Aviv, where buildings were seen engulfed in flames, on the Israeli side.

The emergency services in central Israel released images of a multi-story residential building’s roof that showed flames. According to local media reports, falling debris from an Iranian missile intercepted the fire.

In Israel’s worst conflict between the long-standing adversaries, at least 24 people have been killed by Iranian missile attacks, according to local authorities.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reported on Saturday that Israel had killed Saeed Izadi, who was the leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ (IRGC) overseas arm, in a bombing of an apartment in Qom, Iran.

Katz described Izadi’s death as a “major achievement for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force” in a statement. He claimed Hamas had allegedly funded and armed the Palestinian organization ahead of its Israeli attack on October 7, 2023.

According to Iranian media, the IRGC reported that five of its members perished in Israeli attacks. Izadi, who was listed on American and British sanctions, was not mentioned in the documents.

Tehran launched retaliatory strikes on June 13 after Israel launched air strikes on a number of Iranian sites, including military and nuclear facilities.

Iran’s negotiators were negotiating with the US to curb its enrichment program in exchange for sanctions relief, despite Israel’s claim that it attacked Iran to stop it from developing nuclear weapons.

Iran has enriched uranium beyond what is required for civilian purposes, according to Iranian intelligence and the International Atomic Energy Agency, despite Iranian intelligence saying there are no indications that it is developing nuclear weapons.

Trump, however, claimed on Friday that Tulsi Gabbard, the head of US intelligence, was “wrong” when he claimed Iran wasn’t developing nuclear weapons.

Tehran is still open to dialogue at the United Nations and other such forums, according to Fatemeh Mohajerani, a spokesman for the Iranian government.

“We think it’s important to hear the other side.” Our diplomats are in Geneva to hear the other side’s story, Mohajerani said, adding that any diplomacy must begin with the recognition of Israel’s attack on Iran.

Iranians are upset over Israel “not just attacking nuclear facilities and military complexes,” according to Al Jazeera’s Tohid Asadi, who was based in Tehran.

He claimed that “ordinary people are being attacked daily on a daily basis.”
