Today marks the first full day of Oasis rehearsals, with Liam Gallagher rejoining the rest of the band at a covert location and revealing his “loving life” status. Frontman Liam, who had a brother Noel Gallagher playing music with, was up at 6am tweeting to fans on X and telling them rehearsals were taking place.
After having already begun band rehearsals without Liam last month, a second source confirmed that the band was meeting again today.
It will be the first time since 2009 that Liam and Noel have performed together and played music together, and they will be performing on a massive UK tour for the first time.
Liam stated to his fans that he was feeling “biblical,” but that he would not pose for photos outside the rehearsal rooms. He declared, “I’ll be in and out if you won’t see me. I’m not a poser.”
He added, “I’m fine, loving life, how about you,” to another fan.
In May, the band’s first images of rehearsals in London were released. Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, and Andy Bell, who will play guitar in the massive sold-out shows, were shown. Andy on bass and Andy on guitar.
Christian Madden, a keyboardist, and Joey Waronker, a drummer, both join the band on drums. He has previously performed on tour with Liam, but never with Oasis.
On July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Noel and Liam will perform together for the first time in public since their band split nearly 20 years ago. As part of the tour, dates will be held in Dublin, London, and Manchester.
Noel, 57, left the Manchester rock band on August 28, 2009, saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” The brothers had previously made disparaging remarks about one another.
That all changed when the tour was announced in August of last year. The pair exchanged several photos to confirm the band’s long-awaited reunion on Tuesday, saying, “The great wait is over.
In April, Oasis’ album, Live Forever, won the title of greatest British song ever in a new poll ahead of the band’s eagerly awaited reunion tour this summer.
Noel and Liam Gallagher’s Manchester band placed 16 incredible tracks in Radio X’s top 100 results. The top 10 also included “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” “Slide Away,” and “Champaign Supernova.”
The 10th annual Best of British broadcast on Radio X featured B& and Q poll.
