Oasis tour Manchester Heaton Park banned items and new travel advice

Fans frequently have questions about the Oasis website’s new update regarding the opening of tour dates in Manchester Heaton Park.

Oasis fans who are traveling to Manchester’s Heaton Park for the second leg of their 2025 tour have a long list of prohibited items.

The official Oasis website has a link to an updated page on gigsandtours.com which sold tickets for the shows. It states only small bags and handbags no bigger than A4 size are allowed in the park. So any fans with larger rucksacks or suitcases will need to store them before they get there. Help is at hand as Manchester has several companies that store large bags including Stasher.

A long list of prohibited items, including any form of seating, are also included in the park’s list. The organization’s rules state that no outside seating is permitted in any circumstances during a fully-standing performance.

One suggestion for watching Noel and Liam Gallagher is for you to “bring a foldable blanket to sit on” but it would need to fit into your bag. You are also banned from bringing in food and drink into the concert venue area of the park. However there will be water points. Rules state: “You are welcome to bring an empty plastic bottle, we will have water refill points on site.”

From the Manchester town center, there are a number of ways to get to Heaton Park. People are being encouraged to use a shuttle bus by the concert organizers.

Arrival: All Ticket Types can use the Heaton Park Bus Park (North Gate).

With a valid ticket, you can use any shuttle service to and from Heaton Park.

Return tickets cost £10 while return tickets are available through the Bee Network App.

Please take note that services are anticipated to be busy, so we suggest arriving early to avoid delays.

Shuttles will depart from Heaton Park at 13:30 and 19:00, respectively, and then return to Manchester from a specialized bus station inside Heaton Park, accessible via North Gate.

Walk directly from Exchange Square/Victoria station along Cheetham Hill Road/Bury Old Road, which is a well-marked walking route. The best course of action is to take both before and after the concerts. It is well lit, has a lot of services, and will make sure you don’t get lost! The most direct route takes you to the venue and back from City Center. After the show, it’s likely to be the quickest way to get back to the city center. The Park is located along Cheetham Hill Road for about 50 minutes.

Take the Bury Line from Victoria Station to Heaton Park, though this service is anticipated to be busy. As part of the Manchester Bee Network, just tap in and out for tickets.

Finally, you could try driving, despite the difficulty of parking. We advise alternative transportation options, such as a dedicated city center event bus, walking, the tram, or regular bus services, since there are no official parking lots for this event.

The tour is now just days away from starting with Oasis beginning in the UK and two nights at Cardiff before heading out on the road for a world tour with the second venue being the homecoming Manchester shows.

Oasis began their rehearsals on May 20 with the first sessions being without Liam who was resting his voice. Noel Gallagher was pictured alongside Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and new drummer Joey Waronker.

Noel broke his silence about the Oasis Live 25 tour in a new book in April. Noel told photographer Kevin Cummins, “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was surprised by how much of a big deal it was,” referring to the demand for tickets.

On June 3, Liam and the rest of Oasis began rehearsals, and at the time, he declared to the audience that he was “biblical” about seeing brother Noel perform for the first time in 16 years. Noel was asked which Oasis song he liked best, but he responded, “Can I have more than one? ” earlier this year. Rock’n’Roll Star, Some Might Say, Live Forever, and Supersonic are just a few examples. Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are close friends with the band, will also be performing in the UK shows.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom ‘SPLIT’ after nine-year relationship

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split after being engaged for six years and together for nine years – it comes after rumors and speculation that the two have had a rough patch

Rumors of their split appeared to intensify earlier this year as Katy has not been seen with her engagement ring in a few of her Instagram posts(Image: Getty Images)

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split after nearly a decade of their on–off relationship.

The couple have seen ups and downs since they first dated in 2016. They went Instagram official in May 2016 when the musician shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France.

They dated for a little over a year before calling it quits in early 2017, but they soon got back together in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2019 before moving in together that same year. Her ring consists of a ruby in the middle surrounded by eight white diamonds in a floral pattern.

Katy showed the ring off in an Instagram post on Valentine’s Day, revealing Orlando had proposed, according to The Daily Mail Katy and Orlando then took their relationship to the next level and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove in August 2020.

The pair was last spotted together publicly at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March 2025. And an expert has pinpointed a telling sign that the couple weren’t their usual selves even then, as unearthed snaps show a sad signal from Katy – who looks ‘almost unrecognisable’.

The pair posed together on the red carpet at points, while Katy also had solo time in front of the cameras. Body language expert Judi James tells the Mirror: “Katy’s body language mood here looks serious with only a few brief outbreaks of the more familiar, fun displays as she poses alone on the red carpet.

“She seems to adopt a high fashion style of posing, with the accent on elegance rather than cheerfulness. Her very unsmiling facial expression and her cropped fringe make her look almost unrecognizable and it’s only when she pulls a goofy face at the end and sticks out her tongue to make the photographers laugh that we see a flash of the usual, upbeat Katy.”

Since then, Katy’s diary has been jam-packed as she’s been on a world tour for months. Spending so much time away from her home in Montecito, California, has reportedly caused a ‘big disruption’ in her home life with Orlando, with a source claiming they have been ‘living separate lives’.

On Sunday, June 22, Orlando was spotted in Australia with their four-year-old daughter while Katy was in the city for two tour stops at the RAC Arena on June 22 and Monday, June 23. While the couple was not photographed together, it appeared Orlando and Daisy visited Katy.

Earlier this month a source told Page Six that the couple’s relationship was already “over” and they are waiting till her world tour ends in December to break up. A source told PEOPLE that the pop singer’s latest album 143, which released in September, “caused some tension” in the pair’s relationship with Katy being “stressed” and “deeply frustrated” after the album’s reception.

Whille a source told Us Weekly, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.” The source described the alleged split as ‘a long time coming’ and claimed their relations ‘have been tense for months.’

Liam Payne’s sister Ruth shared her “immeasurable pride” after seeing her late brother in his final TV appearance. The late One Direction star, who tragically passed away at 31 last year after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina, features as a judge in the forthcoming Netflix series called Building the Band.

His sister Ruth Gibbins said she was “heartbroken” that he won’t have the opportunity to see himself on the show. Ruth shared on her Instagram Stories: “I didn’t know whether to share this, but it felt odd when I’ve raved about Liam’s work and achievements for the past 15 years.

He never had the opportunity to see how talented he is in this show, and I’m heartbroken. We all told him this while we were filming, but watching it back, wow! He knew he had done a good job. “.

You’re a star, Liam, you’ve always been and will always be, Gibbins continued. I witnessed a variety of emotions while watching this, but unfathomable pride was one of them all. Every day, I miss you more.

Presenter AJ McLean has assured viewers that the series is “unique anything you have ever seen before” when it premieres on Netflix on July 9.

Ruth weighed in on Instagram and shared her thoughts.

The Backstreet Boys singer stated last month: “Today’s most talented singers in the world will audition for each other and choose their own bandmates before ever seeing them.

“Our judge and mentor Nicole Scherzinger, and guest judges Kelly Rowland and the late Liam Payne, are from some of the biggest bands of all time. This show is all about one word: chemistry. And believe me: in a band, you really need some good chemistry.”

Before his tragic passing in October, Liam had just finished filming for the program, which features singers forming a band despite being kept in separate booths so they couldn’t see one another.

The series’ summary states that “the contestants have to go on musical compatibility, connection, chemistry, and merit… with incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal: to find the next great music band – the stage is set for an unforgettable experience.”

Meanwhile, Liam’s ex-boyfriend DJ Fat Tony recently admitted to trying to “help” the singer with “demons” as a drug.

The musician, 59, told The Times Magazine, “I tried to help Liam Payne with his demons. I’ve been sober for 18 years. He was a truly close friend, incredible.

He “got clean and sober at many amazing times.” Not everyone achieves this. What transpired by falling from the balcony is a real shame. It has devastated me.

How Alcaraz uses firepower and unpredictability to dominate the court

Whether it is forehand, backhand or a slice, knowing what type of shot to play and when is key to winning tennis matches.

But so too is a player’s position on the court – with the very best in the world knowing where to be to anticipate a return, or to gain a few more valuable seconds to plan their next move.

Few are better masters of this art than Carlos Alcaraz, who is proving to be one of the most complete players on the tour at the moment.

Having won the French Open in his final match of the clay season, the 22-year-old Spaniard transitioned to grass seamlessly by winning Queen’s for the second time last week.

It sets him up perfectly for the pursuit of a third title in a row at Wimbledon, where his dominance of the court will once again come to the fore.

“He is so exciting,” former British number one John Lloyd told BBC Sport.

“He is so quick, lightning quick, groundstrokes are huge both sides. He has one of the best volleys on the tour, his serves are getting better and better.

“He is a showman and a great entertainer.”

From all over to behind the baseline – the evolution of play

To understand a bit more about why five-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz is so good it is worth checking back on how tennis has changed over the years.

Playing styles have gone from almost every part of the court being covered by a player to the game now being predominantly fought out from behind the baseline.

Although improvements in grass maintenance will undoubtedly have played a part, this evolution can be seen in images from Wimbledon over the years, with more patches of wear evident on more areas of the grass in the 1970s and 1980s compared to more recent years.

The statistics that show the decline of the serve-and-volley game do seem to correspond with the changes to where grass wear at Wimbledon can be seen.

In 2002, serve-and-volley points in the men’s draw accounted for 32.6% of total service points won, but by 2018 that figure was down to 6.93%.

‘He takes the tour to new levels’ – how Alcaraz dominates the court

The above detail is relevant because Alcaraz has shown he is adept at both styles of play.

In last year’s men’s final at Wimbledon, the old and the new guard were matched up for the second year in a row as Alcaraz faced 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.

There, Alcaraz dictated play with his speed and movement, causing Djokovic to lose confidence in his ability to live with his opponent from the back of the court and instead rush to the net.

It was a trap that worked as Djokovic won just 50.9% of his points at the net, compared to 72.7% for Alcaraz.

But the younger man was just as strong when staying on the baseline where once again his quick movement and powerful ball striking was too much for Djokovic, who was placed under near constant pressure by Alcaraz.

“In that final, Djokovic was only able to generate three break points and won one, whereas Alcaraz was able to generate 14 break points and won five, so there was constant pressure on him,” says Craig O’Shannessy, tennis analyst and founder of Brain Game Tennis, who has worked with Djokovic.

“And from the ground stroke department Alcaraz had too much firepower from the back, hitting 21 forehand winners while Djokovic hit six.

Alcaraz’s dominance of the court was once again on show at Queen’s and, at 22, he has already won four grass-court titles – as many as compatriot Rafael Nadal secured in his career.

Nadal, of course, was the ‘King of Clay’ given his brilliance on that surface, but Alcaraz is showing proficiency on all court types.

“It is never a letdown with this player,” said former British number one Andrew Castle, who was commentating on the Queen’s tournament.

“Expectation every time he plays is always high and it is just supreme performances lately week in and week out.”

“His movement is incredible,” adds O’Shannessy.

“His acceleration from the first two or three steps helps him get to balls other players can’t, and then also his recovery out of the shot is incredibly fast as well.

“When I saw him up close and personal for the very first time, I was blown away. I didn’t think people could move that well on a tennis court.

Video analysis and warm-up tricks – getting the edge on an opponent

Being able to anticipate a player’s movement on the court and the type of shots they will probably play is key to securing victory, which is why someone as unpredictable as Alcaraz is so hard to play against.

Most players fall into familiar patterns of play and studying those becomes important in attempting to secure the edge.

“Gabriel Diallo is a guy I work with and he was playing in Majorca recently, and for his match with Jaume Munar I sent a detailed game plan to him on how to face him,” says O’Shannessy.

“Things I’ll usually show will include where the serve’s going, what kind of serve he likes to hit, and then where on the court he’s more vulnerable to make errors, particularly forehand errors. Because they happen more often than anything else.”

Another important battleground can be the warm-up.

Rather than being – as it may seem to those watching – just two players getting ready for the match, it also presents an opportunity to see how the opponent will react to certain types of shots.

“In the warm-up you may want to disguise the type of shots you want to hit,” adds O’Shannessy.

“I think it’s probably more of an advantage at the club level because you don’t necessarily know the opponent or have scouting on them.

Can anyone stop Alcaraz?

Alcaraz heads to Wimbledon looking to complete a hat-trick of titles and, having won his past 18 matches in a row, he is in a strong position to do just that.

World number one Jannik Sinner – who lost out to Alcaraz in an epic French Open final earlier this month – will be looking to stop him, as well as Djokovic, the runner-up in the past two Wimbledon finals.

But they will know they face a tough task against a player in form.

“When he’s on it, he is the most complete player of his age I have ever seen,” Lloyd says of Alcaraz.

“You look at him already and he’s the finished package.”

Castle is similarly impressed, adding: “He is setting new standards along with Jannik Sinner, the current number one.
