Judd Trump will defeat Mark Williams 13-11 to advance to Saturday night’s final match of the World Championship semifinals.

After Williams recovered from 7-3 down to retake the top spot on Friday in Sheffield, the players had an engaging morning of play that started with 8-8.

Williams, 50, who is competing to become the oldest Crucible finalist, continued his quest by creating four half-centuries out of the eight frames available.

The Welshman reeled off the next three frames before opening up with a break of 57 and then reeled off the next three with a 71 run in response to Trump’s 57.

Englishman Trump, who has won 30 ranking contests in his career and made six of his finals this year, compiled a timely 64 to lower his arrears to 12-11.

No refunds are given for the afternoon session.

For what was supposed to be the fourth session of the Ronnie O’Sullivan vs. Zhao Xintong semi-final, fans were denied refunds.

There will be no competitive action at the Crucible on Saturday afternoon due to Zhao’s 17-7 victory over the ” Rocket,” which was delivered with a session to spare.

A question-and-answer session with seven-time champion Stephen Hendry and 1997 champion Ken Doherty have been scheduled in addition to Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor’s famous black-ball final victory.

According to the World Snooker Tour’s (WST) box office policies, it is “unable to provide ticket refunds or exchanges.”

The session’s ticket prices ranged from £121 to £660, including all fees.

O’Sullivan to leave UK to live in Middle East

Ronnie O’Sullivan, a seven-time world champion, says he wants to move to the Middle East.

In his first tournament since reversing his grip on the Championship League in January, the Englishman, 49, was defeated by Zhao Xintong 17-7 in the semi-finals of the World Championship in Sheffield on Friday.

With a session to spare, former UK champion Zhao was able to defeat “the Rocket” with a session win over Ali Carter, Pang Junxu, and Si Jiahui, who had earlier hoped he could win a record eighth Crucible title in the modern era.

I’ll be relocating to the Middle East. We’ll see how things turn out; I might return in six months.

“A brand-new life somewhere else.” I’m not sure how that will turn out.

“I’ll still try to play snooker, but I’m not sure what the future holds in reality.”

Whether it’s playing or not, I have to try to figure out what my future will look like.

O’Sullivan has stated on numerous occasions that he has struggled with his anxiety and has taken medication to deal with it.

Given that he turns 50 in December, speculation about his future led to his three-month suspension from the sport earlier this season.

He is engaged in a personal battle at the Crucible to regain his fitness and find a new source of satisfaction.

“I’m not even sure if it was me, the ferrule, or the cue.” He said there were three things.

“I didn’t know where the white ball was going,” I said. I had no idea.

“I won’t throw the cue,” I said. People want the item, so it will be on sale.

It’s just difficult for me to concentrate because I’ve been practicing that a lot. That’s the issue, I can’t even fix it.

FG Vows To Complete 284 Kilometre Kano–Maradi Rail Project By 2026

The 284-kilometer Kano–Jigawa–Katsina–Maradi railway project will be finished by 2026, according to President Bola Tinubu’s announcement on Friday.

The president made the announcement at the state’s Tashar Bala Area’s 24-kilometer Eastern Bypass and Katsina State Agricultural Mechanization Centre public.

The president claims that the construction of a railroad line that connects Maradi in the neighboring Niger Republic to Kano State in Nigeria’s Northwest Region will ease traffic for people and goods there, reducing the burden on Nigerian roads once it is finished.

The president also made it known that the Federal Government had awarded contracts to complete rehabilitation of the Kafur-Malumfashi-Dayi-Gidan Mutum Daya Roads as well as the complete rehabilitation of Martabar Kankara-Dutsina-Katsina-Katsina Road and Zaria-Hunkuyi-Dabai.

President Tinubu speaking in Katsina

He added that work is still being done on the road and that the second phase of the Katsina-Kano Road is on track. He claimed that the Federal Government had overcome the road’s previous technical and bureaucratic difficulties.

The Katsina-Kano Road’s second phase is “firmly on track.” The work is still being done along the way, thanks to the accomplishment of previous technical and administrative challenges.

“We have received the contract for the complete rehabilitation of the Kafur-Malumfashi-Dayi-Gidan Mutum Daya Roads, as well as the Martabar Kankara-Dutsina-Katsina-Katsina Road and Zaria-Hunkuyi-Dabai Roads. The roads will be delivered on time, according to us.

The 284-kilometer Kano-Jigawa-Katsina-Maradi rail project, in addition, is scheduled to be finished in 2026. When finished, the project will lessen the strain on our roads and ease the transportation of people and goods.

I want to assure the people of Katsina State that there are enough projects and programs under development for the people who are committed. He thanked you for your prayers.

When it was revealed that Kirk Medas, the show’s star, had passed away after spending several weeks in the hospital, fans of the raunchy Jersey Shore spin-off Floribama Shore were heartbroken.

Kirk Medas, a star of Floribama Shore, regrets one thing about his life just before his unanticipated passing from necrotising pancreatitis.

The 33-year-old was a founding cast member of the obscene MTV reality show, which ran for four seasons and follows a group of eight 20-somethings living on the “pan handle” coast, which runs between Florida and Alabama.

Eight weeks ago, Medas posted a video of himself working out in the gym that showed signs of good health. He also posted a heartfelt caption about his life and how he regrets not alcoholic sooner.

He resisted the loss of a lot over the course of the previous year, saying, “But he stayed resilient.” Body, mind, and spirit. The first step was completely altering my lifestyle.

Between 2017 and 2020, Medas was well-liked by viewers and his co-stars when he made 25 episodes of Floribama Shore.

After visiting him in the ICU, one fan said, “Watching someone you love go through something so painful and uncertain is heartbreaking, but your messages, prayers, and kind words have truly lifted us in this dark time.”

“His mama and I are in heaven, and I know Kirk will too.” We’re believing in miracles, healing, and recovery, so please keep praying for him. He’s strong, and we’re praying for him. “One day at a time.”

After appearing in Floribama Shore alongside Aimee, Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, Jeremiah Buoni, Candace Rice, Codi Butts, and Kortni Gilson, Kirk rose to fame in 2017.

Palace forward Eze wins chess tournament

Just days after helping Crystal Palace reach the FA Cup final, Eberechi Eze has celebrated another victory – triumphing in an online chess tournament.

The 26-year-old England international pocketed $20,000 (£15,000) in prize money for winning Chess.com’s four-day amateur PogChamps tournament, contested by 12 celebrity content creators and athletes.

Eze, who scored in a 3-0 win against Aston Villa at Wembley last weekend as Palace set up an FA Cup final against Manchester City, beat American Youtuber Sapnap in the final of the event, which had a $100,000 (£75,000) total prize fund.

Eze began playing chess after he was taught by former Palace team-mate Michael Olise, who he would often play against at the club’s training ground.

He told The Athletic in 2023: “I didn’t start learning chess until Michael came in.

“It was him and my brother who nudged me to learn how to play and face them, so that’s when I started studying the game, watching YouTube videos of the best chess openings, things like that.”

Players had to compete in a group stage to earn a place in the Championship bracket, with Eze winning the final 2-0 live on the streaming service Twitch.

Quoting Chess.com’s announcement of Eze’s victory, Crystal Palace posted on X: “He can do it all.”

On the pitch this season, Eze has scored nine goals and contributed 11 assists in 38 appearances for Crystal Palace.
