Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz breaks silence with heartbreaking post after snubbing David’s 50th

Over the weekend, Nicola Peltz shared her ongoing grief over the passing of her grandmothers, but she also continued to criticize his 50th birthday.

During an annual sporting event, Nicola Peltz wrote a heartbreaking tribute to her late grandmothers as she remembered them both. The 30-year-old actress and filmmaker has grandmothers named Bunny and Gina while her grandmothers are Claudia Heffner and Nelson Peltz, a billionaire businessman and model.

Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham’s passing in recent years left her devastated and with Bunny receiving the honor of maid of honor at her wedding in April of that year. Gina passed away on January 21, 2020 on Nicola’s birthday, while Bunny passed away in May 2024 at the age of 95.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Nicola shared a series of photographs of herself smiling and laughing alongside the two women. She penned a heartfelt message alongside the string of images – making it clear both were still close to her heart.

The actress from Transformers: Age of Extinction wrote, “In life, we have core memories, and this is one of my most favorite days I’ve ever lived. There was never a day I didn’t spend with them because they were my closest friends.

I just miss you both so much, my Naunni and my Gina, and I can’t bear the thought of not being able to hug you or laugh at you right now. I feel scared because I feel farther away from you the further I go since you left Earth.

I remember this day so clearly when I brought everyone to me with Dior fancy sneakers, and I was so proud to match you both this entire summer,” Nicola continued in response to the images she shared.

And then she went on to explain why she had been brought up with the two women and that she would never forget watching the Kentucky Derby on television with you both every year. I cherish you both the most and cherish your every second.

Nicole continued, “I hope I see you soon and that you are currently looking after me.” I’m forever with you, but I’m more than in love with you because of how much you’ve made me feel as a child.

She continued, “I felt more loved than loved, and I think you both feel more loved than loved.”

Nicola’s emotional post comes amid reports of growing friction between her and husband Brooklyn against his family, the Beckhams. For days, football icon David Beckham has been celebrating his 50th birthday with a string of gatherings and events.

He reportedly made friends and family kneel together at his Cotswolds home before participating in additional celebrations on Friday in France. A-List friends and the sports star and his family gathered for a party at a prestigious restaurant in London on Saturday night.

However, Nicola and Brooklyn were absent from all celebrations and, glaringly, did not write any online condolences for David. The footballer is said to be heartbroken by the decision.

David is “heartbroken but putting a brave face on it,” a source told The Sun over the weekend. David and his wife, Nicola, had been incredibly desperate to change their minds.

The fact that he hasn’t attended one of David’s 50th celebrations hurts the entire family, including the grandparents and siblings, is a dagger to the heart.

While there have long been rumours of a feud between Nicola and her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham – rumours that the pair have attempted to quash by supporting each other online and at fashion events – a new cause of a rift has emerged in recent weeks. It has been reported that Brooklyn has clashed with his younger brother Romeo over his choice of girlfriend.

On Saturday night, Romeo, 22, and his partner Kim Turnbull, 24, arrived in the same car as Cruz Beckham, 20, and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29 – with the two couples looking in good spirits as they arrived to party in elegant evening wear.

Sabalenka Beats Gauff To Win Third Madrid Open Crown

Aryna Sabalenka won her third Madrid Open title against Coco Gauff on Saturday, falling 6-3, 7-6 (7/3).

The American, who was ranked fourth last year, defeated the runner-up in the first set before winning in a tie-break and sealing victory with a double fault.

Sabalenka won the WTA 1000 trophy in Brisbane and Miami, adding to her tour-leading 31st victories on Madrid clay.

She reached the final six times in a row at Madrid this year, and it was her 37th of her career.

Iga Swiatek, who Gauff thrashed in the semi-final on Thursday, defeated Sabalenka in the showpiece last year.

Before addressing the crowd, Sabalenka told the crowd, “I’m pretty sure we’re going to play many more times in the finals — although I hope I’m going to get all (the wins).”

“I’m always so excited to play in front of you, and I’m so happy to win this year.”

Gauff managed an initial hold, but the three-time Grand Slam champion waded through the first set.

As Gauff struggled to deal with her immense power, Sabalenka racked up a 4-1 lead with breaks in the third and fifth games and won the next 17 points.

The American, who won the US Open in 2023, was able to stifle the 2021 and 2023 Madrid champion with her own break.

With her second set point, Gauff sliced wide, Sabalenka broke once more to tie the match in 35 minutes.

The American consolidated for a 3-1 lead in the second set by upping her serve and securing a break in the third game.

In the sixth game, Sabalenka put in a lot of pressure on Gauff, who held on for a 4-2 lead.

Gauff twice double faulted her opponent, giving her opponent three break points, when she was 5-4 up and serving the set.

As Gauff saved all three of those, Sabalenka dropped her racquet in a comical moment during a rally on the second, the Belarusian gazing at the crowd in disbelief.

Gauff saved a further break point after a wasteful set point, but Sabalenka won the game for good at the fifth time without asking.

The world number one fought through a difficult tie-break with 6-5 but was denied a championship point by Gauff.

Before Gauff’s serve-assisted mini-break, Sabalenka secured two more points before he fought back, but the 26-year-old eventually took control and won three more championship points.

Gauff handed victory to the Australian Open’s runner-up this year with a double fault.

With a 5-5 lead over Gauff, Sabalenka equaled Petra Kvitova’s winning streak for three women’s Madrid Open titles.

Despite losing, Gauff thanked her team and the Madrid Open organizers, saying, “I think this is a step in the right direction.”

Football hunk Bradley Dack has paid a gushing tribute to wife Olivia Attwood to mark her birthday. The Gillingham FC midfielder, 31, has been married to former Love Island contestant Olivia since 2023.

The TV babe turned 34 on Friday, and she’s getting ready to make her happy comeback on Saturday night. Bradley gushed praise to his wife on Instagram as they prepared to celebrate together on the day of her birth.

He chose a close-up of them kissing on their wedding day as the album’s hero image from a collection of photos taken over the years. The couple was photographed in bars, at home, and of course, on a beach in Dubai, with beaming smiles appearing frequently in their photos.

The footballer wrote: “From where it started to where it is now, and everything in between. My lovely wife had a wonderful birthday.

You’ve been there through it all and always had my back, so I’m always grateful to have you on my team because I couldn’t ask for someone else to do life with. “I’m so proud of the person you have become and continue to be. I hope you have a wonderful day, and tomorrow we can truly celebrate.

And he authorized further, “P.S. there may be some embarrassing videos coming up on this app today. Love You emojis, along with crying-with-laughter.

Olivia joked back that she might file legal action against him if he shared anything too damning and that she took the threat of embarrassing videos seriously.

She responded with “My legal team is on standby, don’t make me call them” in an amusing manner, and she also added “Emotional faced emojis and a black heart emoji.”

Olivia shot to fame in 2017 when she was a contestant on Love Island in which she partnered with recent Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chris Hughes as they embarked on an ultimately doomed romance. While the pair grew close in the villa, the romance soured once the cameras turned off and they returned to their lives in the UK.

The couple endured a bitter break-up – and Olivia rushed back into the arms of her now husband, who she reportedly dated before she entered the Love Island villa during season three of the now long-running ITV reality dating show. Olivia has enjoyed further fame on camera as a cast member of the reality show The Only Way Is Essex, and she also hosts a range of investigative documentaries for ITV.

Liv and Brad swapped vows on 3 June 2023 in an intimate ceremony at a five-star hotel in Knightsbridge. The couple said said “I Do” in front of 80 guests, including family friends, and Love Island stars including Amber Davies and Georgia Harrison.

Since 2020, the couple has welcomed cameras into their own lives in the reality series Olivia Meets Her Match, which demonstrates how the couple is progressing in their relationship.

Prior to their wedding, the couple had gushed about how excited they were to continue their reality television series. Olivia stated in a trailer from 2023, “This is the moment we have been anticipating.” It will be a fairytale-like story. Husband and wife.

Then Bradley said, “I’m about to wed the one who will forever be my spouse.” I won’t cry because I don’t want my make-up to go wrong. Since the most recent batch of episodes that were broadcast in 2023, the series has not yet made a return to ITV.

Leeds victory puts pressure on Saints boss Wellens

Betfred Super League

St Helens (0) 4

Try: Whitley

Leeds (10) 17

Leeds Rhinos sealed a Magic Weekend win over St Helens which cranked up the pressure on Saints coach Paul Wellens.

The Rhinos forged ahead in a bright opening with tries from Riley Lumb and Lachlan Miller but the game degenerated into a messy affair with both sides making unforced errors.

Matt Whitley struck back for Saints early in the second half but Lewis Murphy’s sin-binning, a Jack Sinfield drop-goal and Morgan Gannon’s late try ensured Leeds took the win which sends them fourth in Super League.

Leeds leapfrog their opponents with a third win in four games, a run only spoiled by their defeat by leaders Hull KR last week.

They got that loss out of their system in the opening phase as Gannon’s smart kick popped up nicely for Lumb to pounce and score after Gannon and Ash Handley had opened up the defence.

Ten minutes later more enterprising attacking play from the Rhinos saw Harry Newman send Alfie Edgell racing down the right, and he passed the ball inside to send Miller over and establish a 10-point lead at half time.

Lumb pulled off a try-saving tackle on Jon Bennison but Saints rarely troubled the Leeds line in the first half.

Wellens sent on experienced pair Daryl Clark and Jonny Lomax, the latter controversially dropped a fortnight ago, and for a short while they started to piece their game together and shortly into the second half they cracked the Leeds defence as Whitley went over.

That sparked an attacking spell for Saints, with Leeds errors inviting pressure and Saints squandering it with scrappy disorganised rugby.

Tristan Sailor’s interception and sprint downfield set Saints up perfectly but an incorrect play-the-ball cost them possession in a threatening position, a moment that summed up their game.

Murphy’s sin-binning took the wind out of their sails and came as he leaped high to gather a kick and caught Edgell in the face with his knee, as the Leeds man kept his feet firmly planted on the ground.

Murphy was disconsolate and Wellens infuriated, and Leeds took advantage by going up the other end, with Sinfield coolly drop-kicking the ball between the posts.

Murphy yellow ‘ridiculous’ – reaction

St Helens boss Paul Wellens:

“The start of the game really did hurt us. We were winning exchanges in terms of the defensive side of things but both edges got done and we made it very difficult for ourselves from that point on.

“We dug in, rallied, went down to 12 men and dug deep through that period as well. There were certain bits of the performance that were okay in that respect but I feel like in some ways I keep repeating myself.”

On Lewis Murphy’s yellow card:

“I thought it was ridiculous. Lewis Murphy goes up and contests the ball. He’s got eyes for one thing and one thing only and that’s the ball.

“We had Jake Wingfield in a Challenge Cup game at Warrington knocked out cold and we were told then it was just an accidental rugby injury.

“So what’s the difference between that then and this here tonight? It’s quite flabbergasting to be honest because that was a big momentum shift in the game.

Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur:

“I thought the boys were brave and tough. It’s been a long six weeks for us. We’ve had some big games and every game we’ve had to fight really hard.

“We’ve probably got what we deserve I think and put ourselves in a position. Those past six games to win every one of those games, we’ve made it hard even for ourselves tonight and we’re still learning but we found a way.

“We came out in the second half and looked a bit flat and a bit tired at times but we hung on and that was a result where we’ve worked extremely hard. The attitude and effort has been outstanding.”

On Lewis Murphy’s sin binning:

“It’s accidental but at the end of the day the rules are it’s the player’s responsibility to make sure you don’t make contact with the head. And that’s what’s been officiated for the past nine or 10 weeks, so you can’t change it now.

“It was accidental and I feel sorry for the fella but that’s the rules.”

St Helens: Sailor; Bennison, Cross, Percival, Murphy; Welsby, Whitby; Paasi, Mbye, Lees, Sironen, Whitley, Knowles

Interchanges: Lomax, Walmsley, Clark, Delaney

Leeds: Miller; Edgell, Newman, Handley, Lumb; Connor, Sinfield; Palasia, O’Connor, Oledzki, McDonnell, Gannon, Watkins

Inside David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash – as one A-list star snubs dress code

Celebrating David Beckham’s 50th birthday with a huge bash in London with his family, including his wife Victoria, along with Guy Ritchie and Tom Cruise, is a big deal.

David Beckham is celebrating his milestone birthday in style on July 50. The football legend and his wife Victoria Beckham were seen arriving at the black-and-white party.

David and his famous family were seen arriving at the opulent Core restaurant in Kensington, London, where chef Clare Smyth will prepare a special three-course menu for him.

To decorate the venue prior to the arrivals, florists had seen arriving earlier that day with green foliage and white and pink peonies. Brooklyn is not expected to attend, despite Romeo, Cruz, and Harper being among David’s children.

“David is putting a brave face on it, but he is heartbroken.” He is swimming in it, and tonight is all about love and celebration. Although David and Victoria sincerely hope he will change his mind, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, did not attend, according to a source who spoke to The Sun.

Sheinbaum says she rejected Trump’s offer to send US troops to Mexico

Claudia Sheinbaum, the president of Mexico, claims Donald Trump offered to send US troops there to combat drug trafficking.

Sheinbaum claimed that Trump had contacted her about how he could combat organized crime and that he had suggested sending US troops during a press conference on Saturday.

The Mexican leader said she disagreed, saying, “We will never accept the presence of the United States army in our territory.”

Sheinbaum remarked, “No, President Trump, our territory is inviolable, our sovereignty is inviolable, and our sovereignty is not for sale.”

Her remarks come a day after Trump reportedly demanded from Mexico to allow for “more US military involvement” in the fight against drug cartels.

According to the news outlet, “tension rose” during a call between the two leaders on April 16 as Trump “pushed for the US armed forces to play a leading role in battling Mexican drug gangs that produce and smuggle fentanyl to the US.”

Trump has repeatedly criticised Mexico and Canada as the US’s other neighbor for their drug trafficking since taking office in January.

He claims that the two nations permit the entry of fentanyl, the most potent drug, into the US through their borders.

Along with other factors, Trump’s administration has linked fentanyl trafficking to its push to impose steep tariffs on Mexican and Canadian goods.

Sheinbaum stated on Saturday that she had offered to work with Trump in addition to increasing the amount of information being shared.

The Mexican president claimed that at the same time, she had urged Trump to put an end to the wave of violence that has claimed more than 450,000 lives in Mexico over the past 20 years.

She continued, noting that Trump issued a Friday order to “make sure that everything necessary is in place to stop weapons from entering our country from the United States.”

Trump had made it crystal clear that Mexico must do more to combat these gangs and cartels, and that the US is prepared to help and bolster our already close cooperation, according to a spokesman for the US National Security Council.

Trump and Sheinbaum had collaborated closely to create the “most secure southwest border in history,” according to the spokesperson.

However, the spokesperson claimed that “dangerous foreign terrorist organizations continue to threaten our shared security and the drugs and crime they spread across the country.”

Despite numerous legal challenges to his strict anti-immigration policies, Trump has continued to push forward with his plan to carry out the “largest deportation operation” in US history.

To enforce immigration laws, the US Department of Defense announced earlier this week that it had designated a second stretch of the border with Mexico as a military zone.

The most recent area is located close to the El Paso Fort Bliss Army base in the US state of Texas.
