‘Leaving Hollyoaks was taken out of my hands after I joined OnlyFans’

Ex Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn says it was “never her intention” to leave the soap and details how the decision “was taken out of her hands” after she joined OnlyFans

Former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn has opened up about how the decision to leave the Cheshire-based soap was made for her, after she joined risqué subscription website OnlyFans. The Manchester-born star, currently flying the flag for lingerie brand Raine & Bea’s ‘Theatrical flair for everyday wear’ campaign, reveals the decision “was taken out of her hands” following her OnlyFans move.

But Sarah, who now admits she feels sexier than ever, has decided to speak out to change the narrative surrounding OnlyFans. During an exclusive interview with New, Sarah openly addresses her early fame, her OnlyFans success, her body confidence and how her shock exit from the Channel 4 soap was misconstrued.

Sarah says she’s determined not to let age or what she calls “social conditioning” stand in the way of her stripping off. She told the publication: “I feel so much more comfortable and confident in my body today.

“I don’t feel like I’m trying to tick any box of what I want my body to be, I just want to be strong and healthy and have longevity. I want to get older to still be fit and strong. I want to be able to play with my son, to continue to go to the gym, that’s what’s important.”

But Sarah says she’s only become more confident in her own skin as she’s gotten older and when she first started on screen when she was 14, she was still finding herself and her body was changing. She said of some roles she had when she was younger: “My body was being scrutinised and it was being edited without my permission.

She continued: “You know, my boobs were being made bigger and my tummy was being made flawless. And all the natural things – and imperfections is the wrong word, because they’re not imperfections – were removed. So I grew up not knowing what my body should or did look like. I’d see a picture of it in a lads’ mag, then look at it in the mirror, and it was different.”

It’s why Sarah wants to change the narrative surrounding OnlyFans. Speaking of her content on the website, she said: “I’ve got a lovely following and I create content that I was creating anyway but I do it now on my terms and it really works for me. I won’t do it forever, but it’s given me a really comfortable life and I enjoy it, so I don’t see myself stopping it any time soon.

“One of the reasons I’ve become a “voice”, is because I put my foot down against being sexualised and monetised by others and not benefiting at all, saying “this isn’t okay any more”. I think that resonated with a lot of people. I used to be a bit of a people pleaser, and I think a lot of us feel like that, so it’s nice to see somebody set boundaries, take control and succeed. I’ve had lots of support, particularly from women.”

The actress is best known for having played Mandy Richardson on the long-running soap for more than two decades before her departure in 2021. She was given an ultimatum by Hollyoaks bosses when they insisted that she shut down her profile on OnlyFans, saying that her racy shots were not good for publicity.

‌She refused to shut down her page, with the star then revealing she thinks she knows which of her Hollyoaks co-stars made an official complaint about her account on the adult subscription-based website. Sarah’s character first appeared on Hollyoaks in 1996 and left the show when Mandy suddenly jetted off to LA.

Sarah has been open about her OnlyFans career and what led to her departure from the soap. And now, she opened up about being ‘sexualised’ while working as an actress but ‘not being allowed to do it on her own terms’.

She added: “I never really left, it was sort of misconstrued. When I joined OnlyFans, it was never my intention to leave the show [ Hollyoaks ]. That decision was taken out of my hands, and widely publicised. When you’re an actor, you don’t ever “leave”, you’re in-between jobs. I’ve auditioned for other stuff, and if the right job came along and it fitted into my life and schedule, then I’d do it.

“I’ve been acting since I was a teen, so there’s always going to be part of me that misses it. But I’ve got a lovely life now, loads of free time and I love being my own boss. One thing I do miss is the banter and the camaraderie of being with people and creating something together. But a lot of jobs involve working away from home, and I don’t want to do that for long periods because of my son.”

Speaking about lingerie brand Raine & Bea’s new campaign, Sarah said: “It’s such an honour to be ambassador for the new Raine and Bea collection. I’ve been a fan of Jenna’s work for years now and always love wearing her pieces, I’m so excited that she’s bringing her work to the masses with her diffusion line and the collection is stunning. I felt a million dollars wearing one of her new designs on launch night. I can’t wait to wear more of the collection soon!”

Sovereignty wins 151st Kentucky Derby

At Churchill Downs, Sovereignty won the 151st Kentucky Derby, defeating favorite Journalism.

The colt, trained by Bill Mott and ridden by Junior Alvarado, came in second place in the one-and-a-half-mile flat race in two minutes and 02.31 seconds to defeat Journalism by one and a half lengths.

Before Sovereignty and Journalism emerged at the front in the final stretch of the muddy track, Citizen Bull set the early pace.

However, Sovereignty, who had won in front of 147, 046 spectators, fought back 7-1 to claim victory.

There was, according to Mott, a lot of speed in the race.

Because of their honest pace, things worked out well for us. The field can pull you in when you have a good pace and when they line up a little bit more.

The outside horses get a chance, and that is what transpired.

Alvarado and Godolphin LLC are the first to win the classic race, and Mott, who won with Country House in 2019 after Maximum Security was lowered due to interference, is also in the lead.

Simone Biles, an Olympic gold medalist, performed the customary “riders up” call urging the riders to mount their horses before the race began.

In recent years, Martha Stewart, Patrick Mahomes, the NFL star, and singer Jack Harlow have all performed the role, which is given to famous people and athletes.

After winning his last four starts, Journalism, who was ridden by Umberto Rispoli, emerged as the 3-1 favorite even though none of those victories came from the mud.

“I am aware that the majority of people are disappointed,” Rispoli said.

I believe I have the better horse if I can track it properly.

Sudan’s RSF carries out drone attack near Port Sudan airport: Army

A military airbase and other facilities in the Port Sudan airport’s immediate vicinity were attacked by Sudan’s army’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

In the first attack by the RSF on the eastern city, the army claimed on Sunday that the airbase was targeted using a drone, a cargo warehouse, and some civilian facilities.

Some damage was reported after drones struck a depot for ammunition.

The airports for both the military and the civilian sectors are located in one location. Residents of the port city are aware that five drones were launched by the RSF and targeted the airbase, according to Hiba Morgan of Al Jazeera, who is based in Khartoum.

“There is a section of the airport dedicated to civilian flights, but military aircraft also take off from there.” So, it’s unclear whether the drones were aiming at military or civilian targets, or both, she said.

It’s unclear whether the RSF was trying to target the fighter jet that was displayed at an air force show on Saturday afternoon and whether there have been any reports of civilian casualties yet.

According to Flight Radar’s navigation data, a Sudanese passenger plane was diverted to Jeddah Airport after failing to land at Port Sudan Airport.

According to the information, the aircraft made an emergency landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport after departing from Dubai International Airport. Before returning to Jeddah, the plane made a circular maneuver over the Red Sea.

After defeating William Scull to reclaim the undisputed super-middleweight title, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will face Terence Crawford in a super-fight in Las Vegas in September.

As the Mexican superstar struggled to cut off the ring in a dull contest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Scull danced around for 12 rounds and rebuffed Alvarez with potshots.

Ultimately, Alvarez’s power punches to the body won him the bout with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 119-109.

“It was a dull fight,” the player said. A fighter is only trying to survive by not attempting to win. Alvarez, 34, said, “I detest those kinds of fighters.”

After the fight, Crawford and two of the sport’s biggest names posed for pictures in the ring.

On September 12th, they will meet at Allegiant Stadium, which has a capacity of 65 000.

Crawford, 37, is a four-division and undisputed champion in the two-weight division, but he’ll advance to light-middleweight.

Alvarez frustrated with points win, “He just came to survive.”

Alvarez made his first professional ring walk at the unusually early 06:20 local time to accommodate audiences back home when they were battling outside of Mexico or America.

Alvarez started feeling less and less like his rival as he frequently does. In the third round, Scull sneaked an uppercut through Alvarez’s guard while he landed right and left hooks to the body.

Alvarez was being forced to withdraw due to the movement of 32-year-old Cuban Scull, who was unable to apply any real pressure.

After the seventh, Scull smiled back to the corner as if he knew he was going to cause the uproar.

The cameras focused on a bored-looking Crawford at ringside despite the absence of much action inside the ring.

Before the ninth minute, British referee Kieran McCann told the fighters, “Let’s fight, there’s too much running around.”

After the 10th, Alvarez shook his head as he returned to his corner, clearly enraged by his opponent’s direction.

Scull complained about low punches, the majority of which were legitimate ones, and Alvarez was given a warning after his opponent turned his back in the eleventh.

The more detailed scorecards showed that neither fighter had a chance of winning the difficult contest.

After claiming his 63rd career victory, Alvarez said, “He came just to survive until the 12th round.”

The “biggest fight of the past decade” is scheduled for Canelo andamp; Crawford.

Alvarez reclaims his position as the king of the super-middleweight division after being denied the IBF belt last year in favor of Scull.

He claimed that Crawford would be “pleasure” if he were to challenge him for all four world titles.

Alvarez remarked, “One of the best out there, and I like to share with that kind of fighter.”

Crawford is the defending WBA light-middleweight champion and has won all 41 professional fights, but his weight disadvantage makes him a slight underdog.

He called the blockbuster fight against Alvarez the “biggest fight of the past ten years.”

Canelo Alvarez beats Scull to reclaim undisputed super-middleweight title

With his unanimous decision victory over William Scull and his return to the IBF super middleweight championship, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has re-unified the division. He will now face Terence Crawford, who was previously welterweight champion.

As the Mexican suffered his first professional boxing loss on Sunday, Scull, who had a height advantage over Alvarez, was unable to find a solution to his methodical stalking and effective body blows.

It’s a dull fight for me, I thought. Scull was merely attempting to survive, not to win. After all three judges gave him the victory (115-112, 116-112, 119-109), Alvarez declared in his post-fight interview, “I detest these kinds of fights.”

Alvarez has won the 168-pound title twice and was stripped of the IBF strap last year after choosing to fight Edgar Berlanga over Scull, the sanctioning body’s top-ranked competitor.

Scull struggled to avoid Alvarez’s constant assault early on, as the Mexican landed powerful body blows in the second and fourth rounds, temporarily putting him off balance.

In the fifth round, Alvarez continued to stalk him after coming off the ground with a right uppercut and pushing him back before countering him with a counter.

After Scull caught him with another right hand, Alvarez’s corner warned him to “don’t let this guy get bigger and more confident,” before he responded with body shots at the end of the sixth round.

In the seventh round, Alvarez landed several combinations to the body and landed Scull with a lead left hook close to the ropes.

Alvarez continued to perform body-punches throughout the fight, allowing only six shots from Scull, who claimed the 63rd victory of his professional career.

Alvarez, 34, improved to 63-2-2 with 39 knockouts on his Saudi debut, continuing his tradition of fighting during the Cinco de Mayo festival weekend in Mexico.

The Mexican said he was anticipating a fight with Crawford in Las Vegas if he lost to him.

“I like to share the ring with that kind of fighter because Crawford is one of the best out there.” He declared, “It’s my pleasure.

American Crawford, who defeated Errol Spence Jr. in a welterweight match in 2023 to become the undisputed champion, declared he was prepared to face Alvarez as they squared off in the ring.

“I’ll demonstrate to the world what greatness looks like,” Crawford said.

In February, Alvarez and Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Seasons Promotion signed a four-fight contract.

As part of Saudi Arabia’s oil-funded expansion into the sport, which has drawn criticism for “sportswashing” its poor human rights record, the kingdom has recently invested money in boxing competitions.
