Castleford (4) 8

tries: Wood, Simm,

Wakefield (16) 32

In the final 2025 Magic Weekend game at St James’ Park, Wakefield Trinity put on a classy performance to defeat Castleford Tigers.

Caius Faatili ran in under the posts to keep Trinity’s dominating start, while Max Jowitt fought his way through.

Josh Simm cut into Wakefield’s lead just after the half-hour mark, but Wakefield capitalized on Lachlan Walmsley’s score to break into the lead.

Jake Trueman dummied his way into the space to touch down and then went on to convert his own try before Wakefield went ahead thanks to a training-ground move.

Faatili sailing in from a Mike McMeeken offload gave Trinity a 12-0 lead over Castleford, which was immediately followed by Trinity.

When Castleford did get the ball on the board, they did it skillfully, working the ball wide to Simm, who was successful in finding the space to dot down inside.

The score was in the balance at that point, but Trinity took a commanding 12-point lead thanks to Walmsley’s try, which came off the back of a looping ball to the wing.

After the break, Lino’s last-ditch kick was perfectly placed for Johnstone to collect and ground effortlessly, adding to that advantage.

On the hour mark, Castleford scored a classy try of their own thanks to Rowan Milnes’ kick, which bounced nicely for Jordan Dezaria, who fed Daejarn Asi to send Wood to score.

Jowitt made an audacious move from Walmsley, but Jowitt accidentally hit the Trinity full-back as he attempted to run over.

Wakefield added another score to Castleford’s overall total, with Lino influential again to work the ball laterally to Walmsley to dive in. Faatili added a second try of his own with a 70-meter run in, with Cas unable to catch him.

Hoy, Simm, Cini, Wood, Senior, Milnes, Amone, Rimbu, Dezaria, Lawler, Mellor, Singleton, and other Castleford names.

Wakefield includes Walmsley, Hall, Pratt, Johnstone, Trueman, Lino, McMeeken, Hood, Faatili, Croft, Griffin, and Pitts.

In a brand-new, sincere post shared on social media, actress Jorgie Porter revealed how her fussy baby was “living hell” by putting her baby to sleep.. In December last year, she welcomed her second child, a baby girl, with fiancé Oliver Piotrowski. She also shares two-year-old Forest with him while he has a 10-year-old from a previous relationship.

In a recent post shared on her Instagram Stories, she was seen cuddling up with her baby while looking tired. “One of those nights where putting your baby to bed is a living hell,” Jorgie wrote as the caption. “But you just love them sooooo much. You forget all the kicking and screaming.”

In May, Jorgie announced her pregnancy news during an episode of ITVBe’s Drama Queens. She also shared the news on her Instagram page with a video of her, her fiancé, their son, and their dog covering a photo of the baby scan with their hands (and paw).

At the end of the year, Jorgie announced she welcomed her second baby, Peony, in a post shared on social media.

She wrote: “She’s here …..! [Heart emoji] We are complete. Everyone at Wigan Hospital is in our prayers.

“Especially @sandi_goulding who is our everything couldn’t of asked for a better day.” She posted a sweet snap of herself holding her newborn’s tiny hand.

One person wrote, “She’s amazing and you guys are amazing, best day getting to be with you all and being a tiny part of her arrival,” while another wrote, “Oh! My! Oh my goodness! Congratulations to everyone who participated.

Ferne McCann wrote: “Congrats babe,” and Jen Metcalfe added ‘love’ with a few heart emojis. Jorgie and her fiancé Ollie introduced their baby daughter for the first time to OK! magazine at their stunning home in January.

Alfie and Forest are both enjoying being big brothers, or at least Alfie is, when they visited them in a hospital the day their daughter was born. According to Jones, Forest is still engrossing what is happening.

A planned Caesarean section was used to deliver Peony. When asked how much of her birth weight she was, Jorgie, who is just over 5 feet 2 inches tall, laughed and said, “She was a whopper!”

Jorgie explained, “I knew she was going to be big because I felt massive the first time.” She was officially 8 pounds, 14 ounces, but because I’m so tiny and feel like a hero, I’m rounding it up to 9 lbs. She was merely a small chunk.

After the C-section, I realized that there was no way I could have had her naturally again and that I should have chosen another section.

Britain’s Got Talent star Stacey Leadbeatter hits back at trolls after backlash over semi-final

Following her victory over Will Burns and Kate Leadbeatter, who was announced as the latest Britain’s Got Talent finalist alongside Olly Pearson, was announced as the latest winner of last night’s semi-final.

Contestant Stacey Leadbeatter has addressed negative reaction to her making it through to the Britain’s Got Talent final. She was named a finalist in a semi-final this weekend.

Stacey, 29, was among the acts who returned to the stage last night in the second live semi-final. The singer covered Demi Lovato’s Anyone for her performance and it was later announced that she had been voted through to the final.

Audience members were heard booing amid the results of the public vote being announced by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly at the Eventim Apollo in London. And although Stacey has received much support, some viewers have instead expressed disappointment on social media.

Stacey addressed the backlash in a post on Instagram this morning, with her telling fans that she had woken up to “so many not so kind comments”. She told people to remember that she has feelings but asserted that “nothing anyone says” can bring her down “off this little cloud” that she’s on now.

She continued, “I have seen so many unkind comments since waking up this morning,” adding: “Beside a selfie! Which is, in my opinion, understandable! When people don’t get the results they want, they become upset, angry, and frustrated. But keep in mind that I have feelings because I am a human being.”

Stacey continued, “All the other contestants you all supported are amazing, beyond amazing, and they all deserved to be there. They are now my lifelong friends.” However, I can assure you that if someone reads some of your comments, they won’t agree with what you’re saying.

She concluded the post by telling her followers: “But I’d like to add. I am strong! I am proud. I am on top of the world and nothing anyone says can bring me down off this little cloud I am on. I am overwhelmed I am ecstatic I am excited I am in awe. Most of all I am thankful and very very lucky.”

Stacey, a supermarket worker, expressed her joy last night in a post about making it to the final of Britain’s Got Talent. She announced to the media that she was “on cloud nine” shortly after her semi-final.

On cloud nine, she wrote at the time on the platform. Thank you to everyone who cast their ballots tonight and who backed me. You are achieving all of my dreams. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Stacey faced off against singer John Pierce and fellow magicians Jannick Holste and Alexandra Burgio. In the same semi-final were impressionist Will Burns, dance group Lil M’s, and cheerleading group Cheer Re Mans.

Guitarist Olly Pearson received a golden buzzer from judge Simon Cowell after his performance guaranteeing him a spot in the final. Then, at the end of last night’s episode, it was announced that Stacey had won the public vote against the other acts from this weekend’s semi-final, with Will the runner-up and Cheer Re Mans placing third, for example.

From 7 p.m., Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV, ITVX, STV, and STV Player starting on Saturday.

Chelsea win ‘important’ in Champions League race – but who will prevail?

Images courtesy of Getty

Enzo Maresca argued that defeating Liverpool was “important,” but that Chelsea’s struggle to qualify for the Champions League “is not over.”

Chelsea won three consecutive matches to extend their unbeaten streak to six with a 3-1 victory over the newly-crowned champions at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

With three games to go, Chelsea are now fifth in the table, three points clear of fourth-placed Newcastle after a 1-1 draw at Brighton earlier in the day.

With a 4-1 aggregate advantage to defend, Chelsea take on Swedish side Djurgarden in the second leg of their Conference League semifinal on Thursday.

“The victory was significant, but it hasn’t been accomplished. We must play three games at once, Maresca told BBC Match of the Day.

The second leg is on Thursday; we need to concentrate on that and try to reach the European final.

Nottingham Forest, who is third in third place, is only four points clear of Aston Villa, who is seventh.

The top five players in the Premier League will each be guaranteed a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.

With a win over Brighton, Newcastle had the chance to move up to third place, but they had to settle for a draw thanks to Alexander Isak’s 89th-minute penalty, which earned them a share of the points.

With only games against Chelsea, Arsenal, and Everton to play, the Carabao Cup winners are still in fourth place.

“It’s all to play for,” Three enormous and three extremely difficult games come at once. Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, told Sky Sports, “Two of them are at home, and we hope that can make the difference.”

Things may change in the final weeks of the campaign, but there will be at least eight Premier League teams competing in Europe next season, an increase from the usual seven.

Crystal Palace, who finished second in the FA Cup final against Villa last weekend, could still qualify for Europe via the league or by defeating Manchester City in the FA Cup final later this month.

Southampton (A), Bournemouth (H), and Fulham (A) are Manchester City.

Manchester United (H), Nottingham Forest (A), and Chelsea (A).

Aston Villa: Tottenham (H), Manchester United (A), and Bournemouth (A).

Aston Villa (H), Manchester City (A), and Leicester (H) are Bournemouth.

How many teams could be considered for the Champions League?

Eight to eleven Premier League teams will travel to Europe next season, depending on how things turn out this year.

Because of England’s better performance in Uefa’s coefficient rankings, at least five of those will play in the Champions League.

If Arsenal wins the Champions League and finishes outside the top five, which is a remote possibility, or even seven if that happens and Manchester United or Tottenham win the Europa League, that number could rise.

How many teams could be eligible for the Europa League?

Next year, there are a maximum of three Premier League teams that could compete in the Europa League.

The FA Cup winners and the team that finished sixth are likely to take second place.

However, if the cup winners have already secured a place in Europe, they will face the next highest-placed team that has not yet qualified for Europe.

If Chelsea loses the Conference League and does not advance to the Champions League, a third place might be awarded.

A graphic showing there will be a third Europa League spot awarded if Chelsea win the Conference League and fail to qualify for the Champions League

The Conference League, how about it?

A Premier League team will receive one Conference League spot.

Newcastle, the current host of the Carabao Cup, will win, but that could change if Eddie Howe’s side earns a place in the Champions League or the Europa League.

That appears likely given that Newcastle currently belongs to the top four.

How could there be 11 English football teams in Europe?

Although this is highly unlikely, it might still occur.

Arsenal, Manchester United, or Tottenham would need to win the Champions League, and Chelsea would need to take the Conference League title, with all three winners having to finish outside the top six.
