JENNIE BOND ‘Seething Prince Harry is not going to make Charles and William change their minds’

Prince Harry has opened up about how he hopes to reconcile with his family in a heartfelt new interview, but royal expert Jennie Bond has explained why this won’t take place soon.

Prince Harry’s reconciliation with fellow members of the Royal Family could be “a very long time in coming” after his bombshell BBC interview, a royal expert has said.

After stepping back as senior members of the royal family in January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California, where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Despite rebuilding his life in Montecito, Prince Harry’s relationship with his father King Charles has become increasingly strained over the years, with Harry not seeing his father in person for over a year.

In an emotional new interview, the Duke of Sussex, 40, opened up about his broken relationship with his family and revealed that he hoped for a “reconciliation”, despite claiming that his father “refuses to speak” to him. Speaking to the BBC shortly after he lost a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK, Prince Harry described how the decision would impact his life going forward, claiming it would make it “impossible” to safely visit the UK with his family.

“For the time being, I can’t bring my family safely back to the UK.” I’ll live a life of public service. So he said, “I will always support the organizations and people who give me so much,” he said.

The Duke of Sussex also said he did not ask his father to intervene in his battle over his security arrangements in the UK. He continued: “I’ve never asked him to intervene. I’ve asked him to step out. I step out of the way and let the experts do their job.”

In a particularly heartfelt moment, Harry added that he “doesn’t know how much longer my father has,” though he hoped to be reunited with his loved ones. Referring to his bombshell memoir Spare, he continued: “Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things. But you know, I would love reconciliation with my family. I’ve always, there’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he explained.

“And I said, life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has he, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.” In response to the interview, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror how Prince Harry’s “barely controlled emotion” was in stark contrast to how King Charles publicly reached out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2023.

Imagine King Charles hearing Harry accuse him of “not caring” about his safety after being informed that his younger son had given a TV interview. He is informed that the establishment and consequently the royal family attempted to detain Harry and his wife and children, allowing them to have their security reduced to make them stay in the UK.

And he mentions “some people wanting history to repeat itself,” according to her. This is a reference to his mother’s security measures after her death in a car accident.

Contrast this with the King’s first broadcast the day after the late Queen’s passing, in which he made a strong point of loving Harry and Meghan “as they continue to build their lives overseas.”

The expert continued, “The words that Prince Harry used about losing his court case: that he was “devastated, gutted and surprised” could very well be the words that King Charles might use to describe this most recent bombshell interview.

Harry was enraged throughout his interview because he was “seething with barely controlled emotion.” He occasionally appeared to be screaming or crying.

In recent months reports have circulated regarding the state of Prince Harry’s relationship with the King, with it claimed that the Duke remains in the dark about his estranged father’s cancer battle. With Harry shining a light on familial matters in his new interview, Jennie says “we learned a lot” from his latest appearance.

Harry’s father and son are not speaking, and he has “forgiven his father, brother, and stepmother” (for what exactly is unclear), but he cannot travel to the UK with his family and receive the level of security he needs, she said.

However, Jennie contends that the interview might not have been the best course of action given Harry’s desire to be welcomed with open arms. Dream about Harry. You may have reason to believe that you deserve the same level of security as others who have left the public, but she asserted that this did not achieve any kind of reconciliation with the family they were born into.

Postecoglou bemoans ‘negative narrative’ around Spurs

Ange Postecoglou, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has criticised the “negative narrative” surrounding the club despite their success in the Europa League.

Spurs defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-1 in the opening match of their Europa League semifinal on Thursday, but they are currently 16th in the Premier League after falling 19 of their 34 games.

Due to Postecoglou’s struggles this season, Tottenham has been under pressure and has sparked protests against club chairman Daniel Levy.

Before his team’s league game against West Ham on Sunday (14:00 BST), Postecoglou stated, “I’ve said before, the narrative around the club is not positive at all.

There is always some sort of negative connotation to everything that happens at the club, regardless of whether you follow it or not. You must break through that if you want to change that.

After Bodo/Glimt scored a goal back in the 84th minute, Postecoglou felt nervous and tense inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he now expects his players to remain positive as they try to win silverware for the first time since 2008.

There’s always the option of not getting too excited about what’s happening, he said, because “Tottenham supporters have had some real near misses for a long time.”

Winners don’t think in that manner. They are unaware of what might go wrong. With this group of players, I’m trying to create that clarity with them about what they need to do to win.

It says, “If you expect something to go wrong, it will.” You try to criticize that, but your approach requires a clear-eyed focus on the important things.

The Australian manager has previously made comments about the club culture before, with one leaker inside Spurs last month.

James Maddison will undergo a scan after suffering a knee injury on Thursday, while Lucas Bergvall will likely miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

What are Prince Harry’s UK security arrangements that make it ‘impossible’ for Meghan

After losing his Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements, Prince Prince Harry has stated that he “can’t see a world” where he brings Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK.

Prince Harry has claimed that it is now “impossible” for him to bring wife Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK safely after he lost his Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements.

His statement comes five years after he stepped back as a working member of the royal family in January 2020. In a statement released at the time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they would “work to become financially independent” but would continue “to honour our duty to the Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages”.

Following their departure, Prince Harry and Meghan moved to California and no longer had an official residence in the UK. After stepping back from their official royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s security when in the UK was downgraded and they were no longer granted the arrangements that had been afforded to them as senior royals.

Prince Harry didn’t frequently travel to the UK, according to the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec), a committee that authorizes security for senior royals for the Home Office. In response, they came to the conclusion that his security requirements should be assessed on a case-by-case basis, just like other prominent visitors’ requirements are.

This meant that while the Duke of Sussex would get police protection in the UK, it wouldn’t be automatic and he’d be required to give plenty of notice ahead of time.

However, Prince Harry challenged the way Ravec took the decision regarding his security arrangements. In December 2023, he told the High Court how the UK was his “home”. He added: “The UK is central to the heritage of my children. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe.”

Lawyers for the Home Office argued that Prince Harry would still have publicly funded police security when in the UK on a “bespoke” basis. In February 2024, the High Court ruled that this was “legally sound”.

Prince Harry then challenged the dismissal of his High Court claim and at a two-day hearing in April barristers for the Duke told the Court of Appeal that he’d been “singled out” for “inferior treatment” and that his safety, security and life was “at stake”. The Home Office opposed the appeal, with its lawyers telling the court that Ravec’s decision was taken in a “unique set of circumstances” and that there was “no proper basis” for challenging it.

The Duke of Sussex’s Court of Appeal challenge involving his security arrangements while he was in the UK ended today (May 2) in court. The Duke of Sussex felt disrespected by the system, according to Sir Geoffrey Vos, who praised the arguments made by Harry’s barrister, Shaheed Fatima KC, as being “powerful and moving”.

However, he continued, “I could not conclude, having examined the specifics of the extensive documentation, that the duke’s concern for the decision challenge led to a legal justification.” The duke was actually entering and leaving the Ravec protection group, he continued. Although he was outside the cohort when he was in the UK, his security would be viewed as appropriate. ”

Prince Harry

He continued, “It was impossible to say that this reasoning was illogical or inappropriate; rather, it appeared reasonable.” Ravec’s decision was “understandable and perhaps predictable,” according to Sir Geoffrey.

In an interview with the BBC following the dismissal of his High Court claim, Prince Harry said the Court of Appeal decision meant it would now be ‘impossible’ for him to bring Meghan and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK safely.

“I can’t see a world in which I will be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point and the things they are going to miss is everything. I love my country and always have done…despite what some people in that country have done,” he said.

I miss the UK, he continued. I long for some of the UK. I do, of course. I feel really let down by the absence of my children from my homeland. “

We are pleased that the court has decided in favor of the government’s position in this case, according to a Home Office spokesman. The UK Government’s security measures are fair and effective.

Brooklyn Beckham stokes fear he’ll snub dad David’s 50th birthday bash amid ‘feud’

Due to rumors of a family reunion for the occasion, Brookel Beckham remained radio silence on his father, David, who had celebrated his enormous birthday.

Brooklyn Beckham feigns being stoked by the “fiddly” situation that will cause him to celebrate father David’s 50th birthday.

David Beckham turned 50 years old today and there have been fears that his son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz will ‘snub’ him during the football star’s big London party. Brooklyn remained radio silent on his dad David’s huge milestone amid reports of a family reunion for the special day.

The football icon is said to have been left devastated following a fallout between his two eldest sons. He reportedly extended an olive branch to Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz after they distanced themselves from the Beckham clan. Brooklyn and his wife also snubbed Victoria Beckham’s birthday last month as they opted for enjoying Coachella.

In another twist, neither Victoria or David commented on Brooklyn and Nicola’s third wedding anniversary in early April.

According to reports, the Beckhams reportedly traveled to Paris for dinner on one of his favorite restaurants on what was referred to as the “perfect day.”

They asserted that “it was sadly impossible for Brooklyn to make it,” saying that it was “almost a perfect day.” Although Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, are invited and are in town, they have yet to RSVP for the big London bash that will take place tonight with his famous pals, family, and friends.

“There has been some contact between them though.” The source went on to add to The Sun that it’s still ‘all up on the air’ as there’s ‘a lot of tension right now’. The Mirror have reached out to David and Brooklyn’s reps for comment.

Meanwhile, David is keen to mark his huge birthday without a hitch as he brings his family together amid weeks of fallout rumours. It is said to have boiled down to Brooklyn and Nicola not believing Romeo’s new partner has the right intentions.

Romeo, 22, has begun dating Brooklyn’s former teammate Kim Turnbull, who David and Victoria have welcomed back into their lives.

Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend the England ace’s pre-birthday bash in Miami, which included guests such as football legend Lionel Messi and former supermodel Cindy Crawford.

It was thought the alleged feud was subsiding when Brooklyn and Nicola headed to the UK ahead of David’s party.

Brooklyn and Nicola were supposed to be there, but it seems Brooklyn hasn’t made the announcements in public. Nicola and him both remain silent on Instagram as he fails to share a photo of his England-classic father.

Cruz and Romeo, David’s youngest son, and Romeo, his youngest son, have yet to have their own social media accounts.

Diddy faces life behind bars as America’s celebrity trial of the century begins

Once a titan of hip-hop and fashion, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is accused of masterminding a violent sex trafficking ring that has already seen his billionaire career end in disgrace.

Court documents detail what the indictment repeatedly refers to as “freak offs” – a term to describe elaborate, marathon sex events allegedly arranged, recorded, and supervised by Sean Combs(Image: AFP via Getty Images)

Rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will take his seat in a Manhattan federal court next week in what is being billed as America’s celebrity trial of the century. The 55-year-old star, who was once a titan of hip-hop and fashion, is accused of masterminding a violent sex-trafficking ring that has already seen his career end in disgrace and seen him go from mogul to monster.

After rejecting an 11th-hour plea deal offer from prosecutors, Combs believes the jury due for selection on Monday will clear him of the devastating accusations made against him. Those 12 people are set to hear shocking evidence that could put him away for life with allegations that he drugged and abused countless victims during drug-fuelled sex parties dubbed “freak-offs”.

Combs is accused of an array of charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

His eight-week trial, scheduled to begin on Monday with the jury selection from hundreds of prospective jurors, hinges on allegations the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker orchestrated and directed drug-fuelled sex parties involving both female victims and male sex workers.

Court documents detail what the indictment refers to as “freak-offs” – marathon sex events allegedly arranged and supervised by Combs. The performances were produced with precision, during which Combs is said to have watched, masturbated and recorded participants, according to federal prosecutors.

“These were not consensual parties,” one investigator said. “These were coercive, manipulative events designed to break down victims and keep them dependent.”

Combs’ victims were allegedly administered powerful controlled substances – often without their knowledge – to keep them “obedient and compliant” during the sessions, which sometimes lasted days.

In one harrowing detail, the indictment alleges Combs and the participants were so drained after the parties that they “typically received IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use”.

In one of the most significant pieces of evidence revealed in pre-trial hearings, investigators disclosed nearly 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were seized during raids on Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Federal agents described the raids in March last year as “unprecedented in scale and disturbing in content”.

Combs, who rose to prominence in the 1990s as the founder of Bad Boy Records, has denied all the allegations.

He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn – where convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell was also detained – since September. After his arrest, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo blasted the federal case as a “witch hunt”, calling the decision to prosecute “deeply disappointing”.

“Mr Combs is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal,” he said outside the courthouse. “We look forward to clearing his name.”

Musicians Sean

The scale of the government’s case argues a different story, however. Prosecutors claim Combs ran a decades-long criminal enterprise masquerading as a music empire, where abuse, coercion and exploitation were allegedly baked into his business and personal life.

The trial could hinge on the testimony of key witnesses, including Combs’ former partner Cassandra Ventura, 38 – better known by her stage name, Cassie.

Ventura, a singer and model, filed a bombshell civil suit against Combs in 2023, accusing him of rape and a decade of physical and emotional abuse.

She settled the case one day later, but the fallout was immediate. In May last year, CNN aired surveillance footage from a California hotel, showing Combs hitting, kicking and dragging Ventura by her hair in a chilling 2016 incident.

His legal team unsuccessfully tried to exclude the footage from the criminal trial, arguing it had been edited for dramatic effect, but the court ruled the footage admissible.

The prosecution has hinted other alleged victims – some of whom worked within the Bad Boy organisation or were part of Combs’ inner circle – are expected to testify, adding weight to the government’s portrayal of a systemic culture of abuse.

Combs’ inner circle has largely fallen silent, though reports suggest former collaborators have been subpoenaed or interviewed by investigators.

Federal prosecutors have remained tight-lipped about whether additional charges are pending. If convicted, Combs faces decades behind bars – potentially a life sentence –given the federal sentencing guidelines around human trafficking and racketeering.

In a final procedural hearing this week, Judge Arun Subramanian confirmed that Combs had been offered a plea deal but turned it down. When asked directly whether he had reviewed and rejected the offer, Combs replied flatly: “Yes, Idid, your honour.”

The court also ruled this week that Combs will be allowed to wear non-prison clothing during the trial, albeit with restrictions. He may wear five shirts, five pairs of trousers and two pairs of lace-free shoes.

The man once hailed as a “mogul, kingmaker and visionary” faces the possibility of dying behind bars. With opening arguments due on May 12, the trial promises to be one of the biggest and most consequential celebrity court cases in decades.
