Dutchman Daan Hoole secured his first Grand Tour stage win as he beat Great Britain’s Josh Tarling in the time trial on stage 10 of the Giro d’Italia in Pisa.

Juan Ayuso finished 22nd, over a minute and half down, but cut UAE Team Emirates -XRG team-mate Isaac del Toro’s lead in the general classification to 25 seconds.

Lidl-Trek rider Hoole finished seven seconds clear of Ineos Grenadiers’ Tarling with a time of 32 minutes and 30 seconds, with British national road champion Ethan Hayter, 26, 10 seconds back on Hoole in third.

Tarling, 21, was the pre-stage favourite after winning the first time trial of the race on stage two, but he was unable to match the performance of Hoole over the 28 kilometre course between Lucca and Pisa on Tuesday.

“I’m so happy and there are so many people I need to thank. I just can’t believe it,” said 26-year-old Hoole, who took advantage of dry roads before torrential rain hampered the later starters, who were the general classification contenders.

Race leader Del Toro of Mexico finished in 37th place, two minutes 22 seconds behind Hoole, but retained the pink jersey.

Briton Simon Yates of Visma-Lease a Bike moved up two places in the standings to fourth after placing 23rd.

Overall race favourite Primoz Roglic of Slovenia, who lost time after a crash on Sunday, finished one minute 15 seconds down on Hoole in 17th place.

2027: PDP Not In Shreds, Open To Coalition — Senate Caucus

Senator Abba Moro, the Minority Leader, is the leader of the Senate’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus, which has dismissed rumors of internal conflict within the PDP.

Despite recent difficulties, it affirmed that the party remained united and strong.

In a press release on Tuesday in Abuja, Moro stated that the party was becoming more powerful than it had been and was on the verge of collapse.

He acknowledged there were internal disagreements, but he insisted that they were being resolved.

Moro urged members to continue to be steadfast and obedient to the party while acknowledging that every party has its fair share of conflict.

The minority leader also criticized the early emergence of a one-party state, citing the threat it poses to Nigeria’s democracy.

The PDP, which is the largest opposition party, can support any coalition-forming party. We are a fresh and vibrant party that is present in every region of the nation. We don’t shy away from collaborating with others to advance democratic principles. If and when necessary, “Moro said, the PDP should lead the coalition.”

The reconciliation committee, led by a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was praised for its efforts, saying they could resolve lingering internal disputes.

The senator said, “We are addressing the few contradictions that exist at the national level.

The former chat show host, 67, has stage four breast cancer and recently opened up about her condition on national television during her time in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Now, the former daytime TV icon has shared an update on her condition on Instagram. She has explained she is also experiencing Raynaud’s syndrome. According to the NHS, Raynaud’s phenomenon is “where your blood stops flowing properly to your fingers and toes”.

It’s thought Trisha’s condition could be a side effect to her cancer treatments, including chemotherapy. Taking to her social media platform, she shared an image of her bright white fingers and told her followers how the condition had got worse since she began chemo treatment.

“Here’s herself waiting for the painful fingers to go bright red, then blue, then icily grey/white before they eventually go back to normal!”

Trisha revealed she had found ways to deal with the condition over the years. She explained how she now wears gloves while driving to ensure the vehicle’s air conditioning doesn’t trigger Raynaud’s in her fingers.

“When I have a cold drink, I use a napkin to hold the glass and so on,” she went on. “BUT every so often I forget; the burning sensation starts and my fingers go painfully numb while they turn the colours of the Union Jack!”

Trisha then added information on how chemotherapy can effect the condition. The description also informed her followers of how the condition “manifests” before admitted it’s “important to manage and be aware of this side effect”.

Among those sending her well wishes in the comments section were Good Morning Britain doctor, Dr Amir Khan. He wrote: “Sorry babes, hope you feel better, it’s such a painful condition.” Trisha responded with a simple emoji face blowing a kiss.

After leaving the CBB house last month, Trisha opened up on how she dealt with her cancer treatment while locked away from the public. She explained the process she underwent before stepping into the iconic household, saying she had been given a round of chemotherapy just 24 hours before joining the show and flew in from her home in Connecticut, America.

Trisha said: “I went to the infusion centre on April 1. I call it my spa room. I had a soupcon of chemo and targeted hormone therapy, one little bag after the other. I have a port catheter [in her chest] and I get plugged in.”

Speaking to the MailOnline, she continued: “My oncologist is brilliant, a rock star, and so sweet. He said, ‘I’m going to help you do this because your message [of hope] is so great’.” ITV bosses made sure that her stay in CBB was a relaxed and comfortable one and was treated to a number of luxuries including her own bedroom suite.

Residents Protest As Stray Bullet Kills Pupil In Oyo

A schoolboy was killed on Tuesday in the Alakia–Gbagi neighborhood of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, by a stray bullet allegedly fired by a policeman.

The boy’s father is alleged to have violated a traffic signal during the rush hour, which is when the incident reportedly began.

He was allegedly pursued by some policemen in an attempt to fend off arrest.

One of the policemen apparently fired at the fledgling car to disarm it by aiming at its tires.

On May 20, 2025, a student was killed in Ibadan, Oyo.

The child was allegedly fatally wounded when the bullet struck him while he was driving with his father.

The officer fired and struck the boy instead of trying to stop the car. One witness described how quickly things happened along Gbagi Market Road.

The victim was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she had been declared dead shortly afterward.

A mob allegedly moved the student’s corpse to the Oyo State Secretariat, where they staged a protest demanding that the state government be held accountable.

The police have not yet released an official statement regarding the shooting as of the time of filing this report.

Six of world’s top 10 men to play at Queen’s

Six of the world’s top 10 men’s players will compete at Queen’s after Taylor Fritz, Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur and Holger Rune were added to this year’s line up.

They join British number one Jack Draper and two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, who were confirmed for the grass-court tournament in November.

American Tommy Paul will return to defend his title, while Italy’s two-time winner Matteo Berrettini and Bulgaria’s 2014 champion Grigor Dimitrov are also included.

Italy’s world number eight Musetti will attempt to go one better after losing to Paul in last year’s final, while Australia’s ninth-ranked De Minaur lost to Alcaraz in the 2023 showpiece.

Two rising stars in the men’s game are also set to compete this year in Czech 19-year-old Jakub Mensik – who won the Miami Open in March – and French 21-year-old Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard.

Queen’s will also host a women’s tournament for the first time since 1973.

That takes place the week before the men’s event and will feature British number one Katie Boulter and former US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

Britain’s leading players including Draper, Boulter, Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid and Lucy Shuker have written to the UK Prime Minister asking for continued investment into tennis, padel and multi-sport facilities across Britain.
