When he showed the potatoes in the pan, he said, “I’ve got them parboiling in this, in salted boiling water,” and that he would cook them for about 10 minutes at around 180C until they were “just thinking about breaking up.”

A baking tray was then topped with a teaspoon of red wine vinegar and olive oil. Then he grinned and said, “Look what I’m doing. See how I abused them? Over the course of about 50 minutes, I’ll cook these in an oven at about 180/190, which is about 350 Fahrenheit.

Simply wrap the entire tray around it before putting it back in for another ten minutes. “Jamie ended up showing the finished dish with crispy and fluffy potatoes,” she said.

Many people hoped to make the dish themselves, despite the simple video recipe’s success. One fan wrote, and another said, “Jamie, I did this and it worked a treat. Two Israeli embassy staff shot dead outside Jewish museum in Washington, DC

Developing a Story

In an attack carried out outside a Jewish museum in the capital, two employees of Israel’s embassy in the country were killed.

Authorities say the deadly shooting took place on Wednesday at around 9 p.m. (01:00 GMT, Thursday) close to the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC.

Elias Rodriguez, 30, of Chicago, Illinois, was the only suspect in the shooting, according to Pamela A. Smith, the chief of the Metropolitan Police Department.

“The suspect was spotted pacing back and forth outside the museum prior to the shooting.” At a press conference, Smith said, “He approached a group of four people, produced a handgun, and opened fire, striking both of our decedents.”

Rodriguez allegedly chanted “Free, free, Palestine” while Smith was being held.

A possible motive for the attack was not provided by Smith.

Mayor of Washington, DC, Muriel Bowser, stated to reporters that “violence or hate in our city” would not be tolerated.

In the coming days and weeks, we will stand together as a community to send a strong message that we will not tolerate anti-Semitism, according to Bowser.

Yechiel Leiter, Israel’s ambassador to the US, claimed the deceased were a “beautiful couple” who had planned to wed.

According to Leiter, “The young man purchased a ring this week with the intention of proposing to his girlfriend in Jerusalem the following week.”

The American Jewish Committee, which had hosted a museum event, expressed shock that something violent happened while the museum was open.

Our focus and hearts are now solely with those who were hurt and their families, according to the organization. We are awaiting more information from the police about exactly what happened.

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, expressed condolences to the victims’ families and said the killings were “apparently motivated by antisemitism.”

Trump claimed on Truth Social that “hatred and radicalism have no place in the United States.” Condolences to the victims’ families. How disappointing that things like this can occur! God bless you all, “!

Kristi Noem, the secretary of homeland security for the US, stated that the federal government would look into the attack and would prosecute its “depraved perpetrator.”

As we seek answers, US Attorney General Pamela Bondi stated that she was present at the scene of the shooting and was “praying for the victims of this violence.”

Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, described the shooting as a “depraved act of anti-Semitic terrorism.”

Danon claimed that harming the Jewish community is “crossing the red line.”

“We have faith that the US authorities will vigorously prosecute those responsible for this criminal act.” Everywhere in the world, Israel will continue to vehemently defend its citizens and representatives.

Governments condemn Israel for firing towards diplomats in West Bank

Israel’s actions were condemned by more than a dozen countries, including those that targeted a diplomatic delegation close to the occupied West Bank refugee camp.

After the foreign diplomats, which included representatives from the United Kingdom, Russia, and China, deviated from a previously agreed-upon path, the Israeli army claimed its soldiers fired “warning shots.”

According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israeli soldiers operating in the area fired warning shots to disorient them.

In the incident, no one was hurt.

Political leaders have responded to the incident in the following ways:

Mark Carney, the prime minister of Canada,

The minister has been explained and summoned to Global Affairs by the Israeli ambassador. We anticipate a thorough investigation and an immediate explanation of what transpired. It’s one of many things that is completely unacceptable happening in the area.

Hamish Falconer, the undersecretary of state for the UK parliament,

The current circumstances in Jenin are unacceptable. Our diplomats, who were affected, have spoken to me. Diplomats must always be allowed to work and civilians must always be protected. A thorough investigation is required, and those accountable should be held accountable.

Micheal Martin, the Irish prime minister,

The [Israeli forces] today opened fire on a group of diplomats visiting Jenin, and I am deeply shocked and horrified. Thankfully, neither person was seriously injured or killed.

This violent, intimidating, and aggressive act is completely unacceptable. This behavior is not acceptable and must never be.

Antonio Tajani, the Italian envoy to the United States,

We request an explanation of what transpired immediately from Israel’s government. The diplomats’ threats are unacceptable.

Caspar Veldkamp, the Dutch foreign minister, is

Threatening diplomats is unacceptable because they should be able to carry out their duties. I’ve contacted our ambassador to Israel and the Dutch representative in the Palestinian territories, and I’m relieved that neither party has suffered. We oppose the shooting, have spoken with Israeli authorities for clarification, and are thinking about taking further steps.

Jean-Noel Barrot, the French foreign minister, is quoted as saying.

One of our diplomats was involved in a visit to Jenin that Israeli soldiers engaged in. This is unacceptable. The Israeli ambassador will be given a brief explanation. Our on-site agents have full support, and we appreciate their outstanding work in challenging circumstances.

Elina Valtonen, the Finnish ambassador to the United States,

This incident is both extremely concerning and repulsive. The Finnish diplomat who was present at the time has spoken with me. We demand that Israel provide an explanation for the current circumstances.

Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the foreign minister of Denmark,

Israel’s firing of shots at foreign diplomats is unacceptable. It is completely unacceptable and has no place anywhere.

The Ramallah diplomats included the Danish mission’s head, and fortunately, everything is safe. In order to receive an official explanation, I have requested that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summon the Israeli ambassador.

Maxime Prevot, the vice prime minister of Belgium and the country’s foreign minister,

I learned with horror that a Belgian colleague and 20 Israeli diplomats were being shot by the Israeli army today. He’s fine, thankfully. In a convoy of 20 clearly identifiable vehicles, these diplomats traveled to Jenin on an official visit coordinated with the Israeli army. Israel needs a compelling explanation, belgium asks.

Espen Barth Eide, the foreign minister of Norway, is

I condemn the Israeli military’s recent attacks on a group of diplomats in Jenin. International law requires that diplomatic and consular personnel be protected in addition to their special status. These actions are blatantly against international law and are inadmissible.

Portugal’s Foreign Affairs Ministry

Portugal condemns the Israeli army’s attack on the West Bank’s diplomatic delegation at the Jenin refugee camp. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its support for the delegation’s Portuguese ambassador and will take appropriate diplomatic measures.

Federal Foreign Office of Germany

This spontaneous fire is vehemently opposed by the Federal Foreign Office. Nothing more serious than that has happened to us, which makes us feel fortunate.

In coordination with the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli army, the group was making diplomatic trips to the West Bank. Diplomats’ ability to observe events on the ground is essential, and they must not in any way threaten Israeli security interests.

The Israeli government must immediately look into the circumstances and respect diplomats’ unwavering rights.

Slovenia’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

The gunfire at the Jenin camp that threatened foreign diplomats was condemned by Slovenia, along with other EU partners.

This intimidation is utterly unacceptable and contrary to the Vienna Convention. We demand a prompt, open investigation from Israel, full accountability, and guarantees of secure, unimpeded access to all diplomatic missions.

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

This is a crime that goes against all diplomatic standards and is in direct violation of international law and humanitarian law.

Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, the ministry’s official spokesperson, affirmed the kingdom’s unwavering opposition to this targeting, which is a violation of diplomatic conventions and standards, particularly the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which specifies rules and restricts diplomatic missions’ rights and guarantees immunities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar

The Israeli occupation forces’ firing on an international diplomatic delegation at the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank is viewed as a violation of international law, international conventions, and diplomatic standards by the state of Qatar.

Foreign Affairs Ministry in Turkiye

We vehemently condemn Israeli soldiers’ opening of fire on a group of diplomats, including a member of the Turkish Consulate General in Jerusalem, while they were in Jenin.

This attack, which threatened diplomats’ lives, is yet another example of how Israel consistently disregards international law and human rights. The diplomats’ actions pose a serious threat to both the mutual respect and trust that underlie inter-state relations and the safety of individuals.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt

The Arab Republic of Egypt calls upon the Israeli side to provide the necessary clarifications regarding the circumstances surrounding this incident and declares its total opposition to it. It goes against all diplomatic standards.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay

To clarify the situation, the Israeli ambassador has been summoned by the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Montevideo.

Uruguay calls on Israel to conduct an investigation into this incident and to take the necessary steps to protect and permit diplomatic personnel with an Israeli passport to the State of Palestine.

Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Israeli military defended the move by claiming that the diplomatic delegation had “invaded an unauthorised area.” There is no evidence of this happening or of a delegation member speaking to them quickly afterward.

What transpired violates the terms of Vienna’s Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which declares diplomatic agents to be inviolable. Israel is required to respect the above Convention by all States parties, including Israel.
