Cher drops major Glastonbury hint as she’s tipped for famous Legends slot

During a conversation with Rylan Clark, legendary singer Cher “confirmed” her eligibility for Glastonbury 2024.

On Sunday afternoon of the four-day festival, the singer was speaking to Rylan on Radio 2, and she has already been linked to the coveted “legends” slot. The 77-year-old icon said she would be more than happy to attend the event while speaking to the BBC radio presenter on Scott Mills’ show.

There are so many rumors that Glastonbury hasn’t finished it yet, Rylan remarked. Will Cher ever play that Legends slot at Glastonbury? Cher then retorted, “I’d like to!”

Rylan questioned in shock, “Really?” Cher affirmed once more, “Yes!” Right, Cher, shake my hand,” Ryan continued. I’ll travel to Worthy Farm on my own. There is a lot on that farm, so don’t worry about what I have to get through; I’ll get you that Legends slot. She responded, “Yeah,” when he asked if she was “in.”

Cher stated that she would “like to” play Glasto (Andy Heathcote/BBC Studios).

Christma, Cher’s twenty-seventh studio album, is the first time in ten years that she has released original music. Her debut Christmas album is also marked by it.

At the weekend Strictly final, the seasoned performer gave a glittery performance. Her miming, however, did not impress all of her fans, who branded it as “disappearing.” Ellie Leach, a Corrie star, danced her way to the top spot in Saturday’s final to win the coveted Glitterball trophy. Hitmaker Cher performed the holiday song DJ Play a Christmas Song to commemorate the event. Cher wore a black jumpsuit and blazer, and her blonde hair was styled in soft curls.

Viewers were “put off” by the performance after accusing her of lip-syncing, despite the extravagant show, which featured dancers and confetti taking over the stage.

One disgruntled viewer yelled, “Cher out of breath miming ffs,” while the other added that it wasn’t the conclusion we were hoping for when writing on X.

What the hell is Cher doing, another person remarked. Lip-syncing is so obvious! I believe I could perform better! The fourth person added, “Cher miming once more, but I must say I love the song.”

She still had supporters, though, with praise for her performance from others. One person remarked, “I can’t stop singing this song to myself inside.” “Absolute banger” “Cher’s Christmas number 1 looms,” was added. We can’t let our venerable Queen down, promo on strictly and the Royal Variety.

Britain’s Klugman, 14, wins prestigious Orange Bowl

At the age of 14, Hannah Klugman of Great Britain took home the prestigious Orange Bowl junior championships.

Klugman advanced to the quarter-finals in Shrewsbury after becoming the youngest player to qualify for an ITF World Tour event worth $100,000 (£80,000).

Coco Gauff, the current US Open champion, held the record.

Future Grand Slam champions Chris Evert, Caroline Wozniacki, Bianca Andreescu, and Gauff, who won the Orange Bowl in 2018 at the age of 14, are among its previous winners.

Klugman remarked, “It’s an amazing feeling.” I competed in the finals of the 14s last year. I was devastated that I didn’t win, and it’s amazing that under-18s were able to win.

This is only a small step on the journey, but it’s still nice.
