Zara McDermott’s income ‘revealed’ amid enjoying success after Love Island

After achieving fame on Love Island, Kara McDermott has since produced her own documentaries and worked on other projects. She has since achieved great success in her career.

Presenter Zara McDermott is said to have raked in around £1 million in two years through one of her businesses. The former Love Island star has pursued various TV jobs since her rise to fame on the ITV2 reality show seven years ago.

Accounts for her firm Zara Nicole McDermott Limited for the year that ended August 31, 2023, show that it had more than £300,000 cash at bank. The Sun reports that accounts show that over the course of 2022 and 2023 she paid around £170,000 in Corporation Tax through Zara Nicole McDermott Ltd, which it adds points to a taxable income of around £1 million.

Zara rose to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018. She went on to compete on the X Factor: Celebrity the following year alongside Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty and Wes Nelson as part of the group No Love Lost.

She was also a cast member on Made in Chelsea from 2019 to 2020. More recently, she took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 and has worked on several other projects for the BBC in recent years too.

Her involvement in the broadcaster’s various documentaries has been included. Her most recent project, which has yet to be broadcast, is expected to be a two-part investigation of stalking.

She has also made headlines in recent months over the end of her relationship with Sam Thompson, whom she’d been romantically linked to since 2019. The former couple, who lived together, are said to have separated a few months ago.

Zara is now thought to be dating One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, with them spotted on an apparent date recently. It’s since been reported that they have been dating for a “couple” of weeks and that he’s “clearly making her smile”.

A source told the Mirror that it’s “very early days”. They said: “It’s very early days but it’s clear she is having fun like any single, twenty-something.” And a source further told us recently: “It’s been a low-key but fun two weeks.”

Zara and Louis were seen having a cozy dinner at Aldburgh’s Suffolk. One onlooker shared photos with them while they were spotted at the venue.

Body language commentator Judi James has since told the Mirror that it looked like it was a “romantic” and “rather old-school date”. She suggested that there were signals of them giving each other their “undivided attention”.

According to Judi, “This seems very much like a romantic and rather traditional date in a more traditional setting than you might anticipate from a pop star.” However, Zara’s loosely curled hair suggests that she is enjoying some traditional wining and dining, according to her statement.
