According to reports, Wynne Evans’ decision to withdraw from the tour and his BBC work obligations has caused a rally among Strictly Come Dancing stars.

The 53-year-old Welsh opera singer is reportedly being kept watch by close friends, and the BBC has reportedly connected him with a welfare officer. After being caught on camera using a crude sexual expression, the actor is “worried he could lose everything.”

Wynne, from Carmarthen, south Wales, is now fighting to salvage his career, including his £1million Go Compare job. Sources say, though, he has the support network, including from Strictly co-stars, to help his battle.

“Wynne has someone to talk to who is surrounded by people who support him,” Wynne claims. One insider said last night that he is incredibly apologetic and aware that what he claims was misinterpreted.

Wynne Evans
According to reports, Wynne Evans and his girlfriend broke up because of his offensive remarks (wynneevans/Instagram).

They all praised Wynne and said they had spent a lot of time with him in a statement to The Sun. Jane only cares about Wynne, though. They just want him to be alright. “

However, Wynne, a father-of-two, pulled out of the Strictly tour after appearing in it alongside Katya Jones, a professional dancer. In Blackpool, Wynne was sacked in November.

The singer has also stopped hosting his BBC Radio Wales program. Wynne confirmed the decision in a statement released on Tuesday, saying he was “deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused.” His brother Mark, a baritone performer and children’s author, also praised his brother’s character as he took to X, formerly Twitter, to address the controversy.

Wynne’s statement in full read: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that l’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. I’m sorry to those who won’t be able to see the remaining performances, and I’m appreciative of my fellow tour members’ incredible help. “
