Wynne Evans of Strictly Come Dancing was caught sexually assaulting host Janette Manrara on camera.

The Go Compare advert star and his professional dance partner Katya Jones are both performing on the Strictly Live tour. He made an appearance at the Strictly cast photocall at the start of the tour in Birmingham. Evans stood alongside fellow celebrities JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward and Jamie Borthwick.

The Strictly professional dancers and Janette Manrara, who serves as the tour host, also joined them. When Janette walked over to the group, Evans was filmed making an inappropriate sexual remark to them as they sat together for a photo. He sang out: “Go Compare”, before adding: “Not too close to Jamie”.

In the video that Daily Mail published, he then made reference to a lewd sexual act by using the demeaning term “spit roast.” Janette’s response was unclear because other Strictly stars had temporarily covered her face. There was awkward laughter, with Jamie wincing as Evans appeared to snigger at himself.

Janette joined the cast for a photo, and Evans made the comment.

Due to an ankle injury, Evans recently skipped the Strictly tour’s first stop in Glasgow. In a statement, Wynne told the Mirror: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise”. We were not previously informed of the remark and had not received any complaints, according to a BBC Studios spokesperson. We have made it very clear to Wynne that we will not tolerate such conduct on the tour.

During his time on Strictly, Evans came under fire as he appeared to ‘ grope ‘ partner Katya. The 52-year-old Welsh opera singer appeared to move his hand closer to his professional dance partner’s stomach after placing it in a controversial manner. As the pair sat side by side, Katya’s stony face appeared to brush his hand away.

The pair described it as a “silly inside joke,” despite the outcry from many fans for his ostensible “grope.” Some, however, failed to buy the apology and explanation and have called the singer’s actions inappropriate. It caused Katya and Wynne to redouble their efforts to stop the backlash, which also resulted in their cancellation of the spin-off series It Takes Two.

Katya said: “Sorry Fleur]East], sorry, I will get onto dancing I promise but can I please first get something out of the way that I feel like overshadowed our performance for absolutely no reason and quite frankly, actually, I can’t bare sitting here watching this man]Wynne] being portrayed as someone he’s not.

It’s impossible to tell the difference between this incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night because it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke? Yes! Wynne said, “Yeah, and I’ve watched it back, I can see how people might have misinterpret it,” at this point.

Katya went on:” Yeah but however, it was a joke and even the idea that it made me feel ‘ uncomfortable ‘ or ‘ offended ‘ in anyway is total nonsense. Those that have doubts, you guys have it got wrong! Thus, it’s likely that this will be the end. You]Wynne] just keep making me smile, please! “

On Instagram, the dancer defended Wynne, saying, “The hand incident was a very silly inside joke between Wynne and I. So it’s total nonsense to even think that it caused me to feel offended or uncomfortable. It’s actually absurd. Let’s concentrate on Wynne Evans’ incredible dance talent and his outstanding performance.

Wynne had also found himself at the centre of more drama after a” vulgar “joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was” leaked”. As he was getting his make-up done backstage, the opera singer reportedly joked that his double chin resembled a vagina. The unsavoury joke was made by Wynne in a private conversation with a make-up artist ahead of the BBC’s launch show, according to insiders.

A source told The Mirror:” It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke. The make-up artist was not offended by Wynne’s joke, adding that at least one other person was present at the time. No formal complaints were received, but some employees were unsatisfied. The source added:” Wynne clearly didn’t mean any offence, but you have to be a little bit careful these days. “

The Mirror has contacted the BBC and Wynne’s representative for comment.
