GK Barry was reunited with her beloved girlfriend, Ella Rutherford after being booted from I’m A Celebrity.

During Friday night’s episode, GK was surprised by her mum, Loretta during a surprising reunion. During the emotional scenes, Grace’s mum asked whether she had to “talk about scissoring”?! with her girlfriend, Ella. But as the pair parted, Grace pleaded with her mum to give Ella a “snog”. Ella was waiting at the bridge for her, according to Ant and Dec.

“I’m free”! Grace yelled, before, Ella ran into Grace’s arms as they embraced one another in a deep hug before sharing a sweet kiss. However, GK explained that they had to stop and pose for pictures together. “We’ve gotta take…”, said Grace as Ella quipped: “No”! before wrapping up with a hug.

In love with Ipswich Town’s football ace Ella, GK typically kept the romance hush-hush until Ella’s birthday shoutout on Instagram reaffirmed their bond in August, posting: “Happy Birthday babe I love you more and more everyday”. Moreover, GK explained her shift from men to women on Young Filly’s podcast, stating candidly: “I feel like I went very wrong with men. I don’t like men anymore. I’ll never be able to get back to a man. God forbid. Yeah, I just love it. I adore it a lot. I feel like my steps are beginning to spring. I feel like I’m glowing. It’s the lesbian glow. I’ve got it. And yeah, that’s my life update”.

In an ITV episode, GK discussed her relationship with Ella and her I’m A Celebrity campmates. Dean posed the question to GK about her coming out as she got closer to the campfire. She revealed: “Obviously online I’d been like I’d slept with girls or whatever as well, but I’d only dated men”.

When she recalled how she met her current partner, she said, “It was by accident that I found Ella, through a mutual friend, and then I really liked her the first day I met her, but I never told my parents. She added that her folks were already familiar with the name: “I’d mentioned, ‘ Oh I’m just going to see my friend Ella ‘ or ‘ I’m staying round Ella’s ‘ so they’d heard her name”. The moment of truth came when her parents questioned who Ella was during a visit, and GK confessed: “Oh. she’s my girlfriend”. Thankfully, she shared, her parents embraced Ella wholeheartedly: “They just love her, they never had an issue with it”.

With a touch of humour, she noted: “To be fair I feel like the closet may have been glass”! Stressing her family’s open-mindedness, she continued: “They’ve always said whoever you end up with we do not care, boy or girl we don’t care, as long as they’re not a d*ck”. To which Jane echoed the sentiment: “All you ever want is for your kids to be happy, it doesn’t matter who it’s with”.

Grace had a long-term relationship with TikTok sensation Billy Hunt, who frequently showed up with her to events and even appeared on her podcast before finding love with Ella. Joe Baggs, a Gogglebox employee, first introduced the pair, who quickly became a commodity. Reflecting on their first encounter, Grace shared: “So my version of events. Joe Baggs had a party. ]Billy was] the only straight man there,]I] launched myself at him. It’s been history ever since”.

However, just seven months after recording the podcast episode in early 2023, they announced their breakup. Addressing her fans directly, Grace stated: “I just want to start out by addressing the elephant in the room. I am single, and that’s it really. I won’t go into why in particular. I know a lot of you want to know why, all the deets, all the gossip, to be honest, I would too”. I won’t go into detail about the causes, though, I promise not to lie. I’m just going to leave it as, I’m single, and that’s it. I am aware that I have publicly disclosed much of our relationship. My bad, I won’t be doing that again! “.
