What Donald Trump said about his plans to ‘take over’ Gaza

After the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from the besieged enclave, according to President Donald Trump, an extraordinary plan that he claimed could make the enclave “the Riviera of the Middle East” will “take over” and “own” Gaza.
The proposal was quickly condemned by Hamas, the Palestinian organization that controls Gaza, as a “recipe for creating chaos and tension in the region.”
Trump was speaking at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while Trump made a statement about his plans for Gaza.  , Here’s what he told reporters:
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, and I are delighted to welcome him back to the White House today. It’s a wonderful experience and an amazing event. We had fantastic talks, and thank you very much, with your staff.
It’s a pleasure to have you with us, I want to say. The US and Israeli alliance have faced more challenges than any other time in history, but the friendship and affection between the Americans and Israelis have endured for generations and are unbreakable.
“I’m confident that, under our leadership, the cherished alliance between our two countries will soon be stronger than ever. We had a great relationship. Four years ago, we won many victories together, but none the less so. The Middle East received peace and stability unlike it had been seen in decades thanks to my first term as prime minister and I.
” Together, we defeated ISIS]ISIL], we ended the disastrous Iran nuclear deal, one of the worst deals ever made, and imposed the toughest ever sanctions on the Iranian regime. Resources and support for Hamas and Iran’s other terrorist proxies disappeared as a result of our starvation, and we did it in a way that they had never seen before.
“I recognised Israel’s capital, opened the American embassy in Jerusalem and got it built. We got it built. It’s beautiful, all Jerusalem stone right from nearby and it was – it’s something that’s very special.
And acknowledged Israeli control of the Golan Heights, a subject of intense discussion for 70 years. And I got it. And in the wake of the historic Abraham Accords, which I believe will continue to be significant as a result of our signing of the most significant Middle Eastern peace agreements in a generation.
“And I firmly believe that many nations will soon sign up for this remarkable peace and economic development transaction. It really is a big economic development transaction. I anticipate that many people will sign up very quickly. Unfortunately, for four years, nobody signed up. For four years, nobody else did anything other than in vain.
” Unfortunately, the weakness and incompetence of those past four years, the grave damage around the globe that was done, including in the Middle East, grave damage all over the globe. If I were president, the horrors of October 7th would never have occurred, and the disaster involving Ukraine and Russia would never have occurred.
“Over the past 16 months, Israel has endured a sustained aggressive and murderous assault on every front, but they fought back bravely. You are aware of that and see it. The existence of a Jewish state in the Jewish homeland is being completely attacked by what we have seen. The Israelis have stood strong and united in the face of an enemy that has kidnapped, tortured, raped and slaughtered innocent men, women, children and even little babies.
I want to thank the Israeli people for handling this trial with unwavering resolve, courage, and determination. They have been strong. The prime minister and I discussed how we can work together to ensure that Hamas is eliminated and, in the end, restore peace to a very troubled region during our meetings today.
“It’s been troubled, but what has happened in the last four years has not been good.
I also have a strong conviction that the Gaza Strip, which has been a symbol of death and destruction for so many decades, is terrible for those who live there and, to put it simply, has been very unlucky. It’s been very unlucky. It’s been a difficult place for a while.
“Being in its place has not been good, and it shouldn’t go through the same process of reconstruction and occupation by those who have actually fought for it, lived there, died, and lived there in a miserable way.” Instead of ending the deaths and destruction caused by the 1.8 million Palestinians living in Gaza, we should approach other nations of interest with heart for humanitarian purposes, which are many of the ones who want to do this.
“Nearly all of the world’s richest nations can provide for this.” It could be one, two, three, four, five, seven, eight, 12. It could be numerous sites, or it could be one large site. However, the people will be able to enjoy peace and comfort, and we will ensure that something truly spectacular is accomplished.
“They’re going to have peace. They won’t be shot, killed, or otherwise destroyed as this wonderful civilization has endured. The Palestinians have no other choice but to return to Gaza, which is their only motivation. It’s right now a demolition site. Just a demolition site, this. Every structure is nearly completely destroyed.
” They’re living under fallen concrete that’s very dangerous and very precarious. Instead of having to go back and do it again, they can occupy the entire beautiful area with homes and safety and live peacefully and peacefully.
“We will do a job with the Gaza Strip and the US will take control of it.” We’ll own it, take responsibility for destroying all of the site’s dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons, level the site, remove the destroyed buildings, and level it out. Create a development that will provide the area’s residents with unabated employment and housing…do something different.
” Just can’t go back. If you go back, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years. I’m optimistic that this ceasefire will set the stage for a more lasting and extensive peace that will end all human suffering and bloodshed. My administration has been working quickly to regain trust in the alliance and rebuild American strength throughout the region with the same objective in mind, and we have accomplished exactly that.
