The Minister of Works, David Umahi, and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, had a heated exchange on Wednesday during a budget defence session in the Senate.
Tensions escalated amid scrutiny of the N15 trillion Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway project, with Oshiomhole pressing Umahi on issues of funding transparency and project delays.
A visibly agitated Umahi accused the senator of using “foul language” and showing disrespect during the proceedings.
Both men are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
