The Ugwuaji – Makurdi 330kV transmission line, according to The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), was vandalized on Saturday.
Ndidi Mbah, the company’s spokesperson, claimed in a statement on Wednesday that the facility had been vandalized at Watuolo Village in the Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
Around 3:30 AM, community members apprehended one of the vandals while the others escaped, according to Mbah, and reported seeing suspicious activity around the tower. The police were given access to the vandal, according to the TCN spokesperson.
