At the funeral of his friend and longtime drummer Aaron Spears, Usher sobbed uncontrollably.

Last week, Aaron’s friends and family gathered at the First Baptist Church of Glenraden Worship Center in Maryland to honor their departed loved one. Usher referred to his friend as an “amazing force” and expressed his gratitude to musical director Valdez Brantley for coming together and introducing them.

Usher is rumored to have given a heartfelt eulogy, wiping away his tears as he said, “Man, you’re going to be fine. He’d say tonight will be the most amazing night ever!”

During the eulogy (TheRealGospelChops / YouTube), he began to cry.

As he thought about his late friend’s support, Usher added a dash of lighthearted humor to the heartbreaking speech. He allegedly said, “[Aaron] follows me everywhere I go, and I was like,”Man, you caught that?” You’re cold, bro! He says with a hint of humor, “You the worst.”

Before his passing, which was announced on October 30, Aaron made a significant impact on many people’s lives. High-profile musicians like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande were among his friends. Before the recent funeral, Usher left a tribute on Instagram alongside Justin and Ariana. Looking back on all the memories we shared together, he said, “I cry, tears of joy, and I realize that you were the joy in every room.” We shouldn’t assume that the people we love the most are going to live forever or that life is something we take for granted.

One of my heroes was Aaron. Musically, he inspired me to do more. They had drum rolls, and that pocket was unique. He had a good heart, supported others, and wished everyone well. For others, he was joyful. He desired for people to be great. His family was dear to him. His friends were dear to him.

I’m having trouble understanding this. We were all incredibly fortunate to meet Aaron. the person’s absolute brightest light. I am so honored and grateful that our paths crossed and that we have shared such a very special time together, “Ariana wrote in remembrance at the time. Always the kindest, always grinning.
