A road crash on Saturday evening along the Lagos-Ore Expressway near Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State claimed the lives of at least 30 people.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Samuel Ibitoye, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Sunday.
He revealed that in the head-on collision between two vehicles, at least 30 people were seriously injured in the accident.
Ibitoye claimed that excessive speeding and traffic violations led to a head-on collision between the two vehicles. He lamented that 30 of the vehicle’s passengers had been killed by burning.
The FRSC chief made an appeal to drivers to be patient on the road to prevent crashes and protect lives and property.
