The University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan students are protesting peacefully against the persistent power cut, according to the minister of power, Bayo Adelabu.

IBEDC had been shut down by the hospital since October 2024 because of an alleged N500 million debt that had been outstanding.

The protesters demanded a 50% tariff reduction and a full reconnection of UCH as soon as possible, according to the protesters.
