Trump Revokes Security Clearances Of Biden, Harris, Senior Aides

Kamala Harris and other senior former White House and national security officials were among the threats made by US President Donald Trump on Good Friday regarding the revoke of his predecessor’s security clearances.

Biden, his family, and former vice president and Trump’s presidential rival, Harris, were among the names on the list of names that were denied access to state secrets.

Hillary Clinton, Antony Blinken, Biden’s secretary of state, and Jacob Sullivan, the list’s former secretary of state and presidential candidate, were also included.

Trump argued that the appointed officials should no longer be able to access classified information in a memo to agency heads that was distributed by the White House Communications Office.

Trump vowed to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals, “I hereby direct every executive department and agency head.”

I also direct all executive department and agency heads to forbid these individuals from using secret information to enter secure American government facilities.

Former US presidents and national security officials typically keep a security clearance as a courtesy, and some people find it helpful when looking for work with private contractors.

Trump has remained furious with his predecessor and frequently lashes out. He continues to falsely claim that Biden plotted to steal the 2020 election, which he lost.

Trump was personally investigated for allegedly leaking sensitive information to his Mar-a-Lago resort during the time he served in office.

After Trump took office, the investigation was closed.

Liz Cheney, a former Republican lawmaker and vocal Trump critic, is also named among the people on Trump’s list, many of whom were well-known political appointees of his Democratic predecessor.

Fiona Hill, a British-born intelligence analyst who served under both Trump’s and his own administrations, including as a White House advisor, is the target.

Alexander Vindman, a retired senior officer in the US Army who was a senior officer in the US Army and was born in Kyiv and who criticized Trump after his concerns about White House contacts with Russia, joins her.
