Travis Kelce savagely mocked as he arrives ready for the Super Bowl in unique outfit
Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has made a statement in a significant way ahead of their team’s big Super Bowl game later today.
When the Chiefs face the Eagles, a rematch of the Super Bowl from two years ago, when the Chiefs rallied for a 38-35 victory, the team is looking for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title and fourth in six years.
Travis, 35, has made his grand entrance at the Superdome in a bold outfit, sparking a series of memes and jokes online. As he walked to the team bus, the sports star was spotted leaving the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans while sporting a bold brown Amiri suit and sunglasses.
His outfit included a matching shirt, jacket and trousers, tinted sunglasses, a gold brooch and a black bag. The suit is from Amiri’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and he was also seen carrying a ‘ cherry ice pop ‘ flavoured Accelerator energy drink.
“Travis Kelce arrives looking like a 70s porn director… or maybe an extra in Starsky &, Hutch”, one Twitter (X) user mused, with another adding: “Travis Kelce looks like he’s filming a Bee Gees biopic”. A third quipped: “Travis Kelce looks like he was just acquitted of killing disco”.
Earlier this week, Travis sparked some anger amongst his girlfriend’s fanbase as he claimed it will be a “great honour” to play in front of US President Donald Trump in Sunday’s Super Bowl. When the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the New Orleans Superdome on Thursday night, Trump will be the first sitting president to watch a game.
Travis ‘ girlfriend Taylor publicly criticised Trump and endorsed his rival Kamala Harris during last year’s election, welcomed Wednesday’s announcement. “That’s awesome, it’s a great honour”, the 35-year-old said. No matter who the president is, I can tell you that I’m excited because it’s my life’s biggest game. Having the president there, it’s the best country in the world and that’s pretty cool”.
Trump and Taylor had a heated exchange during the presidential election, leading to Trump’s admission that he “hated” the singer on Truth on his social media platform. Trump later stated that despite being a liberal and probably unmoving me, he still liked Travis.
Trump has also praised Travis ‘ team-mate, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who likewise welcomed the announcement that Trump will be in New Orleans”. Although I didn’t watch that clip, Patrick said it was cool to learn that he respects the game in which I play. It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone in the top position in our country. “
