Traitors star Harry Clark living with parents in council house after winning £95k on show
Harry Clark has revealed that despite winning a sizable prize on The Traitors, he still lives with his parents in a council house.
The 23-year-old scooped up £95, 000 on the hit BBC series earlier this year after successfully deceiving his fellow contestants. In a dramatic final, he controversially stole Mollie Pearce’s entire jackpot in exchange for the cash. Following the win, Harry has revealed he is “not a multi-millionaire splashing out” his cash.
Since appearing on the show, he has secured “cool sponsorship deals” and attended opulent events like the BRIT Awards and National Television Awards. Anna Maynard, a star of the CBBC series Conor Maynard and Jack Maynard, is also married to Harry. Despite his success, Harry has revealed he is happy living at home.
Dua Lipa and I attended the BRITs red carpet in March, according to the statement. I then took a taxi home to my parents’ house in Slough, where I spent my entire childhood. I drove into the Savoy in a car with a TV screen in the back during a Make-A-Wish Ball in May. Then I returned home and slept in my bunk bed,” he wrote in a piece for the i.
Harry believes it is a “nice contrast” to the lavish experiences he has had in the last year despite the fact that some may find his decision to move back in with his parents “odd.” He added that he hopes to be able to purchase the property for his beloved parents and that he doesn’t care what other people think of his choice.
The TV personality added, “I’m so aware that my parents won’t always be around; why rush to get away from them” while referring to his own home. Harry made it clear that he was yet to use the prize money in May. Host Charlotte Hawkins appeared on Good Morning Britain and inquired as to whether he had yet to use the prize money.
To which Harry admitted: “No, I literally haven’t spent it, I’m being quite smart with that actually. I’m surprised myself I haven’t spent it all”. He added: “I do have plans actually, I want to give back to the military so my plan is to open and start my own businesses. I’m in charge of these businesses, and they hire from the army to give people that sense of home when they leave, because I believe a lot of people can get lost.
” I’m looking into doing construction, lorry companies, things like that to hire straight from the military. Military qualifications cross over into civilian qualifications, a lot of people don’t realise that, I didn’t even realise that mine crossed over! Four months after being declared the winner, Harry also revealed in February that he had received his $95,000 cash prize.
