Tom Holland’s dad confirms actor is engaged to Zendaya after long speculation

Tom Holland is engaged to Zendaya, his father has confirmed.

Dominic Holland told how “incredibly well prepared” the Spider-Man actor was for popping the question, even getting the blessing from the star’s dad.

Fans at the Golden Globes suspected there were wedding bells in the air after Zendaya, 28, dazzling diamond on her ring finger. The comedian Dominic confirmed the news in a blog post, which the audience was on to right.

In the post, the 57-year-old funnyman compared his son’s big moment to his own less-than-perfect proposal to Nikki, Tom’s mother. Writing on his Patreon, Dominic shared: “Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and obtained permission to propose to his daughter.

He continued, “I am completely confident they will make a successful union, even though show business is a messy place for relationships, especially famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention. With us as an example, with Nikki helming this family and my ‘ wisdom’ on tap and a study of getting things mostly wrong and somehow wrong at the same time.

Zendaya, a rising star in Hollywood, first gained notoriety with Spider-Man: Homecoming, where she first gained experience as a child model and actress on the Disney Channel. Zendaya played his romantic interest MJ in the most recent trio of Spider-Man movies while Holland played the iconic role of the titular hero on screen.

Zendaya hasn’t just swung across skyscrapers, she has captivated audiences in HBO’s teen drama Euphoria, stepped onto the sands of Arrakis in Dune’s blockbuster revival, sung alongside Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman, and faced fresh challenges in Challengers. Holland made his stage debut in the acclaimed Billy Elliot The Musical in 2008, tapping into his diverse acting prowess.

His varied range in film roles, from science fiction in Chaos Walking to the eerie horror of The Devil All The Time, to the gritty crime flick Cherry, has been showcased in a West End production of Romeo and Juliet.
